Just get an I7 basic like a 920 and a basic mid level Nvidia card and go for water cooling and a decent power supply. You will thank me later. See my channel for some videos.

For me, ATI vs NVIDIA, ATI get PWND, i one day haved an ATI card, most of ma games were OK, running them in Max settings, But lots of them haved a lot of Fucking graphic errors, then changed to NVIDIA and get better results, Every game in max settings, and no Damn Errors :D

OMG stop the fanboy crap. These manufacturers have been declining in quality for some time. The lastest drivers from both parties truly suck. I use a dual manufacturer strat myself. Have a dual 5870 machine and machine requiring an upgrade from its 295. Both manufacturers are just selling products, niether gives a damn beyond that. Fanboy syndrom just encourages them to hear what they want to hear and discourages them from fixing the service and drivers issues they have.

You're forgetting something very important: P-R-I-C-E. I don't think you see the extra frames that gives you the Nvidea. What you really see is the amount of extra money you need to lend to buy one. Besides, ATI is becoming better and better and at razonable prices.
