  • @wachmaker2 with the padding of numbers when i performed at the 2008 olympics we had 2008 band members, and the 2000 olympics had 2000 members

  • I was there at the time. Now, I'm in that band. They did pretty good here.

  • ahh i miss this show :') still i really love this years show <3 superior at UofA all the way!

  • what song is this?

  • @intoframe Mostly music from "The Incredibles" with a couple snips of Superman and I think a quick James Bond quote.

  • Yeah that's totally why they get invited to a number of national events every year. You know, because they suck.

  • XD my bro was there and disney land and macys day parade

  • The band has 254 members this year, not 263. This includes pit, colorguard and pomline. It was a mandatory event but some students had other commitments and were excused. Over 230 committed to this event. However there were a number of students who couldn't go at the last minute due to illness.

  • It was frustrating that so many members missed it. I was under the impression that this event was mandatory. Kudos to the ones who showed up...They did a terrific job!

  • we actually have 263 i think.

  • Even sadder!

  • My band geek was amazed that you took the time to count all of them!

  • Yeah, I'm a super-geek. But, I've been doing that all week. That is, it's a bit irritating that so many bands pad their numbers. U of Minnesota claims to be 350, but "only" had about 275 here. When I was watching the Minnesota band, a guy in the stands claimed ASU has 400. !?!? Iowa State claims over 300 on their marching band's site, but was nearly 75 shy of that at the Insight Bowl. Pretty soon, somebody's going to claim 1000. :)

  • *every

  • Not ever student went on this trip

  • Wow! 47 students couldn't make the trip? That's too bad. I understand about emergencies, but when nearly 20% of the band is uncommitted, it's sad. Especially when so many of the others are working to do their best. Perhaps weeding out some folks and keeping the people who really want to work hard would be best.

  • They claim to have 250 members, but I only count 213. :) It's still probably the biggest high school band in Arizona.
