Dear peterpeel, I agree completely with your sentiments regarding the Pal region problems. I'd have all the Avengers DVDs available except that Australia was plonked in the ridiculous Region 4 zone. Not all of us have multi zone players and its getting more difficult to purchase all region players . I've been frantically keeping my eye out for all the fantastic black and white Avengers but they're not here in in oz. The Emma Peel colour ones were released for Region 4. Blatant discrimination.

Loved this album and especially this song. I played the cassette tape (!) so much it eventually broke. The joy of youtube to be able to play it again. Brilliant video - a true labour of love to edit ALL the dialogue so accurately... "sigh" isn't Diana Rigg lovely??????

I contacted 2Entertain a few months back over the release of the DVD's, apparently the are the current liecnce holder, but occordining to them Studio Canel has taken that back and the liecene remains with them untill they fit what to do with it.

They told me to contact Studio canle, but i dont think there's a UK based office.

For me now The No.1 of the whole YouTube. Excellently edited! I'll tell you being able to had seen The Avengers in late 60's in Czechoslovakia was pretty tricky (behind the iron curtain) but was a part of things keeping us mentally strong during occupation of our country by Soviet Army. This one wasn't a show it was a support of our souls. Thank you for the clip!

Wow! Very, very impressive. It must have taken an age to get all those clips together! Some are easier than others, but I dont think I could have ever placed Steed's "No, no, NO!". I too had the Power Themes 90 tape, and this was always my favourite track (bit biased, it was my favourite show too). lovely to see film put to it though!

You're right, its high time this utterly wonderful, and very important show had a proper, new, cleaned up DVD release. A job for Network if ever there was one.

The track's called 'The Avengers (Peel the Reel)', hence the name of the vid. It was on an album released in 1990 on Telstar called 'Power Themes 90', catalogue number TCD 2430. There are a few second-hand copies available on Amazon in the UK.
