I didn't like the new stuff but it grows on you. I do like that they made Batman a bit more human...he smiles more..don't know if that's because he's still "new" at the job.
i think this joker is better than the old one, i like his straight-jacket one better than that suit thing. though i do wish they kept his old luagh, it was awesome.
That ending was badass! Its too bad Bruce Timm didn't have animation of that quality for BTAS, TNBA, or JL/JLU. Bruce Timm is a master storyteller, his work is far superior to this new series, but there is no denying the action animation has been improved upon.
Actually, I amend my comment. I hate the look of this new series. Its terrible looking. Plus, the voice acting is atrocious compared to the casting of BTAS. Kevin Conroy IS Batman! The only thing this series has on Bruce Timm is the action sequences--they are far more complex, entertaining, and smooth. But for me its all about the story anyway...still if only BTAS had action like that! How much more spectacular would it be!
Agreed for several points. The new series is trying something different. Not as rough as the last series though. Voice acting, meh as long as its not horrid I don't care to much. The other had an awesome set of story ideas. Loved that robot batman episode, the one were he is insane via scarecrow is great. I liked Mr.Freeze and Joker way more in the old one. Joker came off as deadly. Mr. Freeze I felt was the sad villian.
Clayface I like in both series. The broken actor and broken cop both work. The look was better in the old one. Riddler I just hate. I always thought he was stupid. Man-Bat was better in the old one. I miss Dent :P He was amusing. The series picked up some with Gordan. Batman needs his Gordan and Alfred. There key characters that provide the character building. I liked the future episode of the new series...other then Batman being uber ripped it was sweet with the following of certain arcs.
