You're running a GT-R with a couple of bolt ons agains a fully built race car on boost.. I dont know what is it with people and GT-R's but those things are piss slow. I own an evo IX with bolt ons and a tune stock turbo on 25lbs and i beat GT-R's all day from dig and from roll. GT-R's are built for track not for a straight line.. pretty shitty civic if a GT-R that weighs twice as much and its close to stock can keep up like that
Did anyone else notice that Civic trapped 151 mph, that's one fast car and capable of 8s-9s in the right hands, where as the GTR only trapped 113. If only that was an awd or rwd civic, the car just cant put the power down. Its a shame the owner probably spent a fortune on it and no way in hell would it compare with a GTR if you were to track it.

But once you start running 18+ psi of boost through one which is needed to run times competitive with moderately built domestics they don't hold up well unless built by an extremely good builder. And most of these boosted civics are running cheap ebay turbos on stock blocks just waiting to blow.

@Camg3591 have to disagree with you there... the GT-R has always been competing against Porsche 911 GT2 Turbo for best times on the Nurburgring. The GT-R is also AWD which helps it out a lot on the road course, it's stability control is immaculate too since it's so computerized.

I'm more of a Honda guy... but that Civic seems to be only good for drag racing, and it's probably stripped down to get rid of unnecessary weight whereas the GTR was mostly kept intact and still perfectly comfortable.

definitely not a stock R35 as fast as they are from the factory they usually hit mid 11s with the launch control on and with around 700 horses on STREET tires you will end up with low 10s the civic was on slicks so its right and the fastest gtr is some where in the low 9s so dollar for dollar the civic is good at what it does but throw in a corner and the R35 is gone

Did anyone else notice that Civic trapped 151 mph, that's one fast car and capable of 8s-9s in the right hands, where as the GTR only trapped 113. If only that was an awd or rwd civic, the car just cant put the power down. Its a shame the owner probably spent a fortune on it and no way in hell would it compare with a GTR if you were to track it.

@BABYGODZILLA2009 I was talking about modified civics with turbos strapped to them. Not stock civics. Those hold up well. But once you start running 18+ psi of boost through one which is needed to run times competitive with moderately built domestics they don't hold up well unless built by an extremely good builder. And most of these boosted civics are running cheap ebay turbos on stock blocks just waiting to blow.

@Camg3591 have to disagree with you there... the GT-R has always been competing against Porsche 911 GT2 Turbo for best times on the Nurburgring. The GT-R is also AWD which helps it out a lot on the road course, it's stability control is immaculate too since it's so computerized.

I'm more of a Honda guy... but that Civic seems to be only good for drag racing, and it's probably stripped down to get rid of unnecessary weight whereas the GTR was mostly kept intact and still perfectly comfortable.
It would be great if Honda pulls through with a production version of their HSV-010 so we can legitimately compare these cars and stop the stupid "rice" comments.

definitely not a stock R35 as fast as they are from the factory they usually hit mid 11s with the launch control on and with around 700 horses on STREET tires you will end up with low 10s the civic was on slicks so its right and the fastest gtr is some where in the low 9s so dollar for dollar the civic is good at what it does but throw in a corner and the R35 is gone
