I think this song is about a father/mother who has to let thier children go out into the world. Or maybe a lover who see's that they're holding thier beloved back and must let them go for their own good. Or maybe a best friend whos sees how much thier friend loves one thing and has to let them go miles away to accomplish thier dreams... it could mean so many things :) (forgive spelling lol)
