I live in Texas and our daily limit is 25 crappie a day. So all of you guys on here bitching that they are taking to much. You obviously have no idea how many crappie there are. If there was a shortage of them the parks and wildlife would lower the number you could keep. Nice catch man

Crappie are prolific breeders. It's usually quite alright to take 30 or so crappie on an outing. In some lakes they are so numerous the populations get stunted.

yeah and in some cases keeping a lot is needed to keep the population under control such as in small ponds

Agreed, and its find to keep a few. But, at least knock them out so they dont have to die a slow and painful death!
