All time classic sci-fi flick. The special effects are very well done, especially for the time period, and the monster is destroyed with something in the existing U.S. arsenal instead of some (pulling out of thin air) atomic discombobulating death ray thingee.

(The narrator sounds like the same fellow who narrated "Lost in Space" and "The Time Tunnel".)

A good sequel would have been CYCLOPS MEETS TARANTULA !!! Would have been a very short movie.........Giant would crush spider with one of his massive boot heels .THE END !

I love these old movies with their bad sound, overdramatic music and black and white pictures. It sets the mood and altough it's bad I still watch and enjoy it.
