  • How do you calculate AoB and target speed? In a submarine you have tools for this but how you do it in a plane?

    If you draw some trigonometry with pen & paper, Mr. Pythagoras will tell you that the angle doesn't change even the distance changes (in ideal case). In real life there are other factors which makes this not quite true, but still there is a fairly large window between 1-2 kilometers where the distance to target doesn't affect much.

    AoB is easy to set if it's near +/-90, which it always should be for best accuracy. Speed needs to be estimated, which is the tricky part.

    Yes I understand it in theory. But this is based on how fast the ship is moving.. and exactly how can you do that? seems only way to do that is knowing ship type, and / or determine its size, determing its rate of change in relation to AoB.

    Guess its time to make a ship recognition book..
