  • @n2bbuilding....I think if you take the time to actually mull over my comments, and look at it in an unbiased way, you will undeniably ascertain the logic that is within. if you still find it difficult 2 "understand", then ask a friend who has a little knowledge of history. it'd help tremendously 2 have a rational mind as well.

  • @DrkKnt802 You miss the point. Challenge your mind and your beliefs. The world doesn't have to be black and white and neither does it have to operate has it has in the past. this is today and the here and now. I don't think I need you to give me a history lesson. I was there. I was in the military so I think I know. I know what the Clinton passage of DADT mean't and its purpose and I am well aware of how it affected me and the rest of the gay community.

  • @n2bbuilding... "no" this and "no" that??? I have NO IDEA what you're referring to. The word "meant" was used by me once, in describing your "opinion" of what you thought Santorum "meant"...so you ask "Who says?"... you said "He meant this, or he meant that"....not me. I happen to think he "meant what he said." Unless you're a mind reader, you only offer an "opinion" as to what he "meant"...

  • A kid at my school is gay. He admitted it to me and a couple of people but everyone has sworn not to tell because he is afraid of what people would think and is afraid people will pick on him. I'm a Democrat middleschooler living in texas and I'm surrounded by idiots who believe everything that their republican conservatist teapartier parents say. I got picked on by these same kids during the McCain Obama election. I think a lot of this is because of adults who don't know what they talk of.

  • @abc114able thanx for sharing!

  • He would "repeal the repealing of DADT"... LOL! newsflash....DADT was a compromise between politicians in the early '90s, that ALLOWED homosexuals to serve, as long as they kept their private lives private.

Since when is a repeal of ANY law, considered an expansion of the law. In mist every case, policy resorts to previous guidelines after a repeal. This is the only case that I know if where a repeal actually equals EXPANDING of a particular law that's being repealed. Sheer lunacy.

  • @DrkKnt802 Your not making any sense. Maybe you should read the comments section before responding because you seem to be missing some of the ongoing conversation regarding the history of DADT? Your two paragraphs don't seem to be linking to each other or making sense of the point you are trying to make.

  • @n2bbuilding DrkKnt802 is one of those guys who just came and saw something or heard something he liked and jumped in the conversation.. Never mind him.

  • @n2bbuilding,@gangstastyle55...my "response" was to the video. i never "respond" to comments, unless my post is replied to. You said that Santorum would "repeal the end (repealing) of DADT"....I thought that was humorous, considering the fact that it would be a "repealing of a repeal". No group, whether it is homosexuals, blacks, whites, whatever your choice....(cont)

  • (Cont)...to fill in the blank with, should receive "special recognition or treatment" you our military or our government (that's my opinion btw)...just like your opinion of what Santorum "actually meant" was yours. My history on DADT is dead on.

  • @n2bbuilding (cont#2)... you said my previous post "made no sense, and didnt seem to go together"...i know i had a few typographic errors, but you should have no problem understanding it, once you get past the typos. When you understand the meaning of "uniform", you realize that special set of stanfards or treatment for any particular group doesnt fall into what defines the term "uniform"... military is meant to be uniform in it's standards and treatment of it's members.

  • @DrkKnt802 who says? You say alot of 'no' this and 'no' that and 'it's never done' and it is 'meant' as this or 'meant' to be that so I ask you, who says?

I have as yet to find anything anywhere that says that the world or America has to operate in your way, Santorum's way, the Tea Party's way, the Republican's way or any other way for that matter. We, as a people or country can progress, move ahead and thrive any way we want and choose to. There is nothing to stop us not even dogma.

  • You dishonestly single out "Republicans and Tea Party members" , yet black Americans, the largest percentage Democrat voting bloc are more opposed to gay rights. Other Dems oppose it too. It's why Pres. Obama campaigned against gay marriage. He didn't want to offend his base.

Also I'm curious, if openly gay male soldiers can live in military barracks and shower with other men, should the military continue to prohibit straight men from living in female barracks showering with the women?

  • @CougarFanboy I don't dishonestly single out anybody. I go by what the repubs and teabaggers put out there. You don't see the dems campaigning against equal rights do you? I really don't see what your point is bringing up the 'black' vote? The numbers show that more than half of americans support gays in the military and President Obama is one of them.

Openly gay male soldiers have been serving in the military and showering with other men for decades. You just haven't heard about it.

  • @n2bbuilding The hell you didn't. You're being willfully dishonest. It is a fact Obama campaigned against gay marriage. He did so because many Democrats, blacks and latinos in particular, oppose gay marriage by large margins, and Obama didn't want to alienate them. California is arguably the most blue Democrat state in the U.S., but CA voters voted against Prop 8 in 2008, because the same blacks and latinos who voted for Obama, voted in overwhelming percentages against Prop 8 gay marriage.

  • @CougarFanboy what's dishonest about it? Stop living in the past and take a look at the present. The majority of Americans don't support you and your cronies anymore. And that includes dems.

  • I understand you feel the need to speak up for the soldier that was booed. I feel for you, but you really should write out your thoughts and put together what you want to say before you start taping. You are going on and on and hard to follow. Bless you for wanting speak up though.

  • @FreakingMona your kidding right? You want me to script? Do I look like a fucking actor in this. The point is to NOT script and be real and genuine in the moment. Do you look at videos on YouTube for the scripting and the acting? I don't. I watch them for the creativity and realism that you can't find on TV. I want to hear real peoples opinions and ideas not some SCRIPTED version. Maybe you should follow your own advice? just saying.

  • its simply important to accept everyone for who they are.. gays and lesb need to know that their government accept them and people do too. society esp in america need to accept everyone.. why do people care sooo much?? i cant wrap my mind around the thought process. i think most anti gay and lesb people are battling these feelings within themselves and therefore supress and project onto others. they cant come out and in turn are unhappy and afraid. they pretend to hate gays to cover up da truth

  • @bistnenutte I know you can't because you have never been in the military. And if you are gay or a lesbian, you don't HAVE to serve in the military. We VOLUNTEERED. No one forces you. So either shut the hell up or stay out. Simple. You bitch and moan while on deployment and you are gay, you become a 'target'.

  • @trha2222 woa, u tell me to shut the hell up, while im stating that im against people who hate and bash gays/lesb?? wtf is your issue?? appearantly you missed my point all together.. maybe not having sex is effecting your judgement. your dumb for commenting negativly to what ive stated originally. and if you ment something else, than you should work on expressing yourself a bit better. my bad for trying to point out that society should accept people of all and any sexual preference, besides pedos

  • @bistnenutte I'm interested in what you are saying and I want to respond but first I have to send your post to Indiana Jones so he can translate into English.

  • there lots of hypocricy going on, in my country being gay, they still serve the military which is mandatory but they have an anti homo law which the parliament didn't want to repeal, wierd isn't it, they wan gays to protect the country but wont offer them equality legally, to me tat's sinful so stop the unfairness if they r true Christians, spread the love not the shameful discrimination.

  • *irrelevant to their work

  • @66gardener It's great that you think everyone should be treated equally but DADT didn't treat everyone equally. The fact is, DADT still meant that if you were gay and that was found out you were discharged. At it's heart was the theory that gay people werent fit to serve in the military. Gays didn't want the right to publicise their sexuality they just wanted the right to serve their country without the fear of getting discharged for their sexuality - which as you say correctly - is utterly ir

  • why are so many people raging against this guy? He is obviously nervous, isn't that a human emotion? Or have humans become so ruthless that it's against the law to be nervous?

    Dumb republicans, honestly.

  • yes, i agree this is a social/mental form of maladaptation or 'disorder'

kind of a no brainer really

  • 'Don't Ask, Don't TEll', implemented by Clinton, has worked.

Gays should NOT receive any special rights, as should any group. Everyone should be treated equally......period.

Ones private sex life should be just that.....PRIVATE.

  • @66gardener It didn't work. There were still "witch hunts" against gays in the military, and that includes people who were thought to be gay but weren't. Just accusing a another soldier of being gay could get them kicked out. Soldiers are interrogated and forced to name names or be kicked out, under those circumstances they name anyone they don't like, anyone they can think of, to get themselves off the hook. The people named then get interrogated for more names and the hunt goes on.

  • this guy is proof that homosexuality is a mental disorder.

  • @Annihilate3275 exactly what are you basing your claim on that homosexuality is a mental disorder?

  • @Annihilate3275 It is not a disorder and you just want to make yourself look better by claiming that he has a "Gay mental disorder". And this is exactly why he is nervous. Because he is afraid of people like you putting bullshit comments like that up.

  • Holy Shit, get on with your point. Talk about choosing words carefully. As far as gays in the military? Bad idea. As far as this soldier being booed? So what? I did two tours. Being booed would be the easiest thing we ever did. All gays are not victims. They are just people. Stop treating them like fucking porcelain dolls.

Liberals? Get a backbone. For once, get a backbone. God, you guys are wimps. That's why so few liberals make it in the military.

  • @trha2222 well if you don't like it dumbass then don't pop in. You did two tours? Guess how many homo's were there with you? So don't say gays in the military is a bad idea. They were probably backing up and protecting your dumbass. And if gays are just people then why do you want to exclude them?

Now, how's that for a porcelain doll?

  • @n2bbuilding Guess, huh? Ok, I'll guess 6, but I could be wrong. The guy who cried when he got a tattoo was gay for sure. And openly serving gays in the military? Worst idea ever. But they were brilliant at charging the enemy and surprising them with a complete makeover. Why, if we can get more openly serving gays in the military we'll bring Al Quada to their knees!

  • @trha2222 ya. such a bad idea that 30 other countries which includes almost all of NATO allow it. They have no problems. And your right. Al Queda could use a splash of color in their drab terrorist clothing.

  • @trha2222 watch eddie izzard much? your a clown... gays have the same fucking rights.. what are you afraid that a dick might land in your mouth if they serve ?? i looooveee pussy, but why would i give two shits about what other people sexual pref is?? whats the fucking deal here?? why do u care soo much?? r u in the closet? wtf

  • @trha2222 you just proved what comedian doug stanhope said, "many soldier's are good people, fighting for our freedom, and some soldier's are just sociopathic assholes". Thanks for your tours overseas, but your still a dick....and a bit of a pussy, if gays honestly scare you so much.

  • @Killerjosh89 Why do liberals listen to comedians and Hollywood? LOL As if they have some grand wisdom that escapes the rest of us. Listen, the best soldiers are the ones who society would probably despise. They are the most politically incorrect people you can imagine. They are the ones who make a difference. You better thank God that they are there because they are the ones who keep this country safe. And they were overwhelmingly against gays serving openly.

  • @trha2222 "Why do liberals listen to comedians and Hollywood?" Because their not trying to fight a "culture war" or watever u cons think is goin on, its not the 60's anymore so get over it already. Second, I have friends over in iraq and germany, absolutely they're politcally incorrect gun lovers (like me) but not fuckin dicks who just judge people like a fuckin child. And I don't believe in god(hes not real, grow up) I thank my family, my friends and anyone else in military and law enforcement.

  • @Killerjosh89 You mean they're, not their. And only liberals are causing these culture wars by trying to fix what ain't broken. And how do you know God is not real? And I know a LOT more people in the military than you ever will. And most all of them are against openly serving gays in the military. Worst idea ever. That first gay guy who dies from 'friendly fire' ? His blood on your hands. You were warned.

  • @trha2222 I don't know, probably wouldn't like you and neither would my marine buddies coz you seem like a right wing dick, but thanks for your contribution in serving. We're both on the good side, even if you think im a dick and i think you're a dick. btw im not even liberal, iv been a republican since i was 17.

  • @Killerjosh89 Well, Meghan McCain is a liberal and a Republican. But I am not a Republican. I am an American! And liberals are the ones trying to destroy America. Therefore, I am for the GOP until liberals stop acting insane. And liberals are insane. This overreaction to nothing kinda proves that conclusively. Yes, I used the word 'conclusively' and there's nothing you can do about it.

  • @trha2222 ( warning: im going to talk immaturely now) no their not u fucking dipshit. Liberals are the ones actually helping people, gay rights, racial equality, fair labor and less taxes and on the poor and middle class (and 34% to 39% tax increase on corporations AND individuals who make millions and billions isnt that fucking much, GET OVER IT BITCH, REAGON RAISED TAXES) I'm very republican (i dont give a fuck what GOP leaders think today) because real republicanism isnt about your

  • @Killerjosh89 You are wrong. We have the highest corporate tax rates in the world. If you were a business would that give you incentive to set up shop here? No. And we aren't talking about the millionaires and billionaires ONLY. Understand that. Obama is talking about people individually who make over $200K or couples making $250K. And they already give more than their fair share by a pretty significant margin. Reagan incrementally lowered taxes and it worked brilliantly.

  • @trha2222 I WISH that was true, but the fact is, big corporations gamble with tax payer money on a daily basis, and should be prosecuted for it. And without taxes how can we have clean water, education, roads, fire and policemen, health care? where do you think they get the money for those, we need higher taxes to fix our infrastructure which is in shambles.

  • @tseng13 We have to have taxes, no kidding but when our government is WASTING so much of those taxes, I don't to give them any more. We take in plenty of revenue. We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world and unions and that is why we are losing jobs. It is NOT a revenue problem.

  • @trha2222 corporations break down unions, so that they dont have to adhere to their negotiations, most companies will fire you if you join a union, unions are the only way to bring at least some power to the working man. and if we have such a high corporate tax rate, then why haven't we had a socio-economic reform with our health care or education systems yet? its as if they want our children to grow up stupid, get sick and then die.

  • @trha2222 faith based, "fuck the non whites and no christians" bullshit CONservative policies. REAL REPUBLICANISM is individual freedom. So go back to the majority/ mob rule that you love- THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY (as jefferson, franklin, and adams said about democracy- its nothing but a mob rule. This is a Constitutional Republic of individual freedoms) and if you dont like it you FUCK OFF.

  • @trha2222 you have no clue do you?.. this was the dumest comment i have ever heard from a tarded repub.. you have probably had a few gays in your unit.. who covered your ass.. i bet youd boo them too..

  • @trha2222 I don't believe you were ever deployed or in the Military. I have three son's in the military. They have been deployed several times. They are fighting for all American's and they have more class than to pass judgement on anyone's lifestyle. Our soldiers are sacrificing time with their families and their lives in some cases, trying to liberate countries from people who think like you. I don't believer you are a soldier. If you are you need to go back to basic!

  • @FreakingMona I was. I spent six years in the military. I did two tours of the Middle East. And I' ll let you in on a little secret. The military is NOTHING like you see on tv. It was nothing like I expected but it worked, for the most part. Women are kinda useless for most physical jobs. But the one thing you can be sure of is the unique hatred the military has for homosexuals. Now, you won't hear that in the media, or from the Pentagon or from Obama. But it is true.

  • Thank you for giving us that personal view of this issue.

I am happy for him that he came out. That is a hard life and I am happy that the military finally gave its soldiers the right to be who they are and not hide behind a imposed facade.

    Kudos to him and you.

  • This is my husband, he deserved respect from everyone and defense from the candidates when that crowd booed. Thanks for your support.

  • Comment removed

  • Rick Santorum's response was abhorrent. It was completely unpatriotic. He will never get my vote. He never even acknowledged the man for his service. All of the candidates this year are unfortunate, and the audiences that they're debating in front of aren't helping any of their cases for the upcoming general election.

    Great video. :)

  • @imcobblestoned Look, we don't need to be acknowledged for our service. Especially by liberals who do it for PC reasons. Just shut up and let us do our jobs. And stop trying to act like you actually give a shit for the military. You look down on the military. Always have, always will. And I'm seriously considering not sending you a birthday card this year.

  • @trha2222 Okay, firstly I don't do much for "PC" reasons and I most certainly wouldn't have thanked a serviceman just to be politically correct.

Secondly I'm not going to shut up, because I do have the right to say how and what I feel.

Thirdly, I will not be told how I view the military. You don't have a single clue who I am so don't pretend you do. I actually seriously considered joining.

And lastly I don't want your gift, but thank you for you service.

  • @trha2222 if its not a big deal then why have "dont ask dont tell" in the first place? Homophobes seem to view gay sex as something thats so irresistible, they need to create rules against it....seems kinda gay itself...

  • @Killerjosh89 People who are against gays serving openly are thinking of the good of the service. It is the most unPC place ever. I never would have joined up if they had this. You think that in boot camp, where fights were ready t o break out all the time, you want gays serving openly. No way. And that is the most controlled environment you will find in the military. Once you get to your duty station, it is a whole different world. You simply cannot comprehend what it is like in the military.

  • @trha2222 and like u don't talk about hot women while you're on duty with your fellow men?....please. If my buddy eric can talk about how he like latin ass's to his fellow soldiers, its fine if gays talk about their shit. You and other "men" just "dont like it"....tough shit.

  • Rick Santorum is an ass. He's got it all backwards...the only people with special protections are the straight people that have an issue with LGBT soldiers!
