This was a terrible incident but not actually the worst single incident in WW2 air raids in London. I understand there was a school being used as a shelter in either Canning Town or West Ham that suffering a direct hit with over 400 dead but that incident is not well documented.
I think a memorial is a great idea to remember this tragedy. However the proposed design is a monstrocity, please come up with something more beautiful and DONT BUILD THIS EYESORE!!
