@xisforxray I agree, most Americans from poorer backgrounds don't have access to dentists whereas thanks to the NHS brits do. What most Americans done is purely cosmetic work to attain the perfect smile. Whereas most people through out the world have normal teeth, compared to the perfetcty crafted hollywood cosmetic smile any teeth in the world would look bad. My teeth are perfectly healthy, no deacy etc but if you put my smile next to some hollywood actors smile, my teeth would look bad.
English people dont care about teeth as much and as such we allow people on TV who dont have perfect Hollywood smiles. In England we get free dentistry, so people who spend extra on cosmetic work are seen as vain...in USA where you have to pay for dentistry bad teeth are taken as a sign that you are poor.
