Limbaugh n Steele r both losers. They both look like clowns. Steele is a politician bt d only (individual) election he has eva won in his entire life is d RNC Chairmanship, lol - it speaks volume!
I jst hate d way he sounds. His voice is soo irritating.
p.s. Hughley stop suckin Steele's dick.. i mean pussy. he's NOT intelligent!
I'd feel comfortable with an affirmative action presidency than with a McBush presidency.
With that being said, most of America voted for Obama because of his positive political agenda and experience. His articulacy, charm, intelligence, and incorruptibility makes him a unique politician. He's a helluva lot more than just some "black guy."
Affirmative Action prez is doin a gr8 job. He's cleanin up d mess of big baby Bush. N Steele is an uncle tom, he's just a token in d GOP. U guyz nid ppl like Colin Powell, not Steele bt still kip him regardless!
Rush Limbaugh wishes he was an entertainer. The only people he entertains is anyone unfortunate enough to get to see him try to climb a flight of stairs.
The only unfortunate thing happening here is the de-evolution of America/Americans. It is time for a change, we need to change the way we kill babys, we need to change the way we promote falure, we need to change the way we look at equality, we need to change the way we "educate" our children, and we need to change the way the goverment treats us. We are not babys, at least I wasn't raised to be one This country is great cause you can be a self starter, not because the Gov. rocks your cradle!
stimulus bill everyone talking about it a spending bill .. hummm. you still have to spend dumb ass no matter what package you create. republicans are just running out of air .. and it funny seeing them crumble every time they open their mouth!
Bobby Jindal's legal name is Piyush Jindal. He was born a hindu, but while still in High School he converted to Catholicism.
He married Supriya Jolly (An Indian) in 1996. They have 3 daughters:
1. Selia elizabeth
2. Shaan Robert
3. Slade Ryan
Very un-Indian names! And what about the surname? Are they ashamed of adopting Jindal as their surname? This doesn't show strength of character by either Jindal or his family!
Conservatives are NOTHING OF THE KIND..............They are Biggotts and a Bunch of Archie Bunkers..........Those people made this Country what is Today........Commmunist...
You really need to be informed, Conservatives are the opposite of coms. Coms. do not want free markets, they do not want opportunity. Liberals take from the "Rich" and give to the "Poor" If liberals succeed then you will bne stuck in a class below even the most unfortunate of americans now. You think we have ghettos now...Just wait. Read a book about Fmr East Germany, or Russia, or go find me a happy Chinese worker. The poverty and dispare found in those places is a result of liberalism!
How a person handles his health and personal hygiene is just one way to evaluate their ability and character, but it's a good one. Are you talking about the liberal fascism of China?
I've been enjoying the GOP's new tactic of attempting to label all liberals as not only being 'socialist', but as being racists as well. By the time the GOP is done fucking itself in the ass, it'll look like an Alex Jones convention with a bunch of tards ranting about bread lines (rather than the grocery store lines). The best thing is, these fucking incompetents wil have left us with one party rule, with nothing but retards to challenge tha majority. The GOP leadership fucked America.
lmao@PoorOleRushLimbaugh..i think he had his brain washed.of all the the george bush deficit and war blunder...and now he actaully believes the problems of amercia are from obama?..it was george bush doing..all of it...goodluk2america..
Micheal Steele did with Rush what he's been doing with the liberals, as soon as someone disagrees with him he apologizes and runs like a little girl. Steele this proves that your not the defacto leader of anything. Rush makes a paycheck from controversy like all entertainers, but at least he sticks to his principles.
Steele is actually the leader of the R.N.C. and that is different than his claim that he is the leader of the Republican Party. Steele is jealous that Rush has a larger audience than anyone in Washington and that he is starting a movement. Steele aught to get out of the way of conservatism, it's coming back baby.
Steele in less than 24 hours went from calling rush a comedienne to a National Conservative Leader....wow! I hear he's not getting the respect from his peers. What did he expect? Mike look around the room...yea it's just you..nobody else looks like you except old ward connerly but the two of you together don't even make half of a black man.
Sooner or later ego aside I believe Steele is going to step down. Paycheck may look nice but he is clearly not welcomed.
I think I agree with your point of view more gallomex but you have to check your spelling, context, and punctuation if you want to be taken seriously.
I've read a little bit of this debate that "givetthegas" and "gallomex13" have going here. I don't want to get involved with it but I do have to agree with "givetthegas" about "gallomex13" and how government schools have failed him.
yo gallomex, dude check your spelling and shit...you're struggling.
"where is your prove that with small government...." should read "where is your proof..."
"are you going to by capitalist books told you at your...." I'm not sure what this one is.
The Liberals are attempting to make Rush Limbaugh the FACE of the Republican party. Their mistake is that if that were true, the Republicans would be running this country. The majority of people agree with 90% of what Rush talks about. The failure of the Republicans is not the failure of conservatism or Rush Limbaugh. They nominated the moderate that the media said we needed to have. McCain lost because he was A MODERATE, not because he was a conservative.
Hmm. I just read about a Gallup poll showing that Limbaugh is more unpopular than Bush, who is still viewed very unfavorably by the vast majority of Americans. But I'm sure you'll just dismiss those results since they don't fit with your strident ideology.
Did not such polls show John Kerry winning the presidency? People will lie to pollsters especially when they think the person will not like their response. Rush Limbaugh continues to be successful and the more Democrats talk about him, the greater his success will be.
They have to try and silence him because he exposes their lies and deceit. They never deal with the content of what he says.
Of course you dismiss polls that don't fit your wingnut ideology. But what's funny is that you really expect everybody else to believe the ridiculous statement you just made up, i.e. "The majority of people agree with 90% of what Rush talks about."
Further, nobody wants to 'silence' the blowhard voice of the GOP. That's another persecution fallacy swallowed by gullible Limbaugh listeners.
I dismiss them because they are worthless. Polls are easily to manipulate and prove nothing.
You keep calling him the "voice of the GOP". That is a lie being pushed by the liberal Democrats. Rush speaks for himself and himself alone, as a conservative. Never do liberal actually deal with the content of what he says. They only seek to distort phrases.
Polls are worthless to you because they don't serve your hero's cause of failure. But polls are useful in that they provide a snapshot of public opinion at a point in time. For instance, a Wall Street Journal poll out today shows that voters trust the Dems over the Repugs on the economy by a margin of 2 to 1.
Limbaugh is the de facto voice of the GOP. GOPers must worship his every word or risk his wrath. They are not free to disagree, unless they publicly recant and kiss his fat, sweaty ass.
With the media in their back pocket, the Democrats can lie and deceive the public. There is no de facto leader of the Republican party. That is nothing more the media doing the Democrats bidding again.
Republicans are losing because they are trying to be like Democrats. Conservatives win big when they govern like conservative. Just wait until inflation kicks in and pricing start going up. Energy will be the first rise because of the Carbon tax. Then take you polls and see.
Media in their back pocket? Another lie promoted by Joseph Stalin Limbaugh, who is such a big media personality, he has become the de facto voice of the GOP. The Wall Street Journal is owned by Rupert Murdoch, a well-known conservative and media magnate who also owns Fox.
Repugs are losing because they have no spine and refuse to reject the politics of failure promoted by Limbaugh, while the country is reeling from 8 years of Repug lies, abuse and mismanagement. Heckuva job Brownie!
How much of the media reflects the left wing and how much the right?Thats an obvious answer."Repugs are losing because they have no spine" you are CORRECT.They have been trying to emulate the democrats and we see the results now."reject the politics of failure promoted by Limbaugh" link some examples please."country is reeling from 8 years of Repug lies, abuse and mismanagement" I'll take a shot and say your chanting the blame Bush mantra here.Does Congress,The House or Senate sound familiar?
I don't know what papers you read, but I've read accounts of Pakistani claims of civilians deaths from Predator strikes, which by the way were also used under Bush and continued under Obama.
I'm sure you'll see those coffins now that Obama has lifted the ban enacted by Bush.
It's been widely reported that some Obama picks have had to withdraw from consideration because of tax issues.
Anybody can explore the stimulus package. It's posted online. I've read press accounts about what's in it.
You are missing the point completely. When Bush used the strikes, the media would lead the news with the story and repeat it and repeat it. There would be a running count kept and mentioned everyday of the soldiers killed in battle. They are treating OBama differently than they did Bush.
Widely reported, but only after conservative blogs and talk radio exposed it. These media services have far more researchers than Rush does. They knew about Tom Dascle's tax problem before anyone.
I agree that the media is treating O differently than W. Bush had a nice long honeymoon that lasted well into his third year, and, even then, when anybody questioned the Iraq war or his war strategy, they were accused of being unpatriotic. Obama's been in office just six weeks and all you see is Repugs howling disingenuously about how the stimulus package is 'full of pork' or publicly apologizing to Limbaugh for having dared to disagree with him.
What world are you living in? The media never gave President Bush a "honeymoon". They started with the false documents in the campaign and continued right into his presidency. President OBama will never have to face any scrutiny from the press. He is their guy!
LOL! That's another canard straight from the Limbaugh playbook. The 'liberal media conspiracy' mantra is recited over and over again by Limbaugh, mouthpiece of the GOP, and his blind followers, in the false hope that if you repeat something often enough, people will think it's actually true. But the fact is it's crap that no serious person believes.
No I meant what I said. But I am having fun watching the Repug follies. Steele says, "Limbaugh's not the voice of the GOP! I'm the voice of the GOP!" Then he has to publicly apologize to Limbaugh, who threatens to stop reading RNC talking points on his show. LOL! Limbaugh pounds his chest at CPAC about liberty, yet he tolerates no dissension from within its ranks, and the irony is lost on the Repugs. He talks about individual responsibility, yet he weighs 400 pounds! You can't make this up. LOL!
You keep demonstrating your complete ignorance of what Rush does everyday. If you listened at all you would know he does not reading anyone's talking points. He had been critical of President Bush and the Republicans as much as of the Democrats.
What does Rush's weight had to do with individual responsibility? He pays for his own health care. Not like the welfare crowd OBama plays to who smoke and eat and then send me the bill.
Oh, I've heard Limbaugh plenty. I've even read one of his half-literate books. He's an overpaid, overweight buffoon with a microphone and a mouth that can't stop talking, mostly and ultimately about himself.
The fact that he has become the de facto voice of the GOP only goes to show just how far the Repugs have fallen after being so soundly rejected by voters in 2008. Rush speaks to the party's wingnut base, but beyond that, he has no appeal and will never be able to broaden the party tent.
Talk about repeating talking points! Look who keeps repeating the Democrat mantra, "de facto voice of GOP". There is nothing de facto about it. It is an intentional strategy of the Democrat party to attack the Republicans through Rush Limbaugh.
You are not very good at hiding your envy of the man. He has more influence than you can deal with. The votes did not reject conservatism. They rejected McCain's moderate Republicanism. Working with Democrats only makes this worse, never better.
explain how saying that somebody is the leader of a party atacking someone? thats not attacking at all. If they came out and said republicans are idiots because of Limbaugh then it would be but their not. That argument makes no sense
The Democrats are attacking the Republicans by attempting to MAKE Rush Limbaugh the "leader" when it is ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY FALSE. Since they cannot defend their actions on their own merits, they deflect attention through this nonsense. Rush is not the leader of the Republican part, not now, not ever. His ideas are HIS ideas.
He did not attack anyone. Michael Steele allowed himself to be portrayed as attacking Rush. For this, he apologized to Rush. It is nothing more than that.
You know, you are so in love with Limbaugh, maybe you two should just get married. Good luck in trying to find a ring big enough to go round his finger!
Let see Steele, Georgia Congressman Phil Gingery, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, and (soon) Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor have all had to recant criticism and apologize to Limbaugh, because he owns the GOP!
Now Steele says he plans to put the party through a 12-step program.
Step one is grow a pair and stop kissing Limbaugh's ass!
I respect Rush Limbaugh as a conservative. I disagree with him on many subjects. These Republican leaders have allowed themselves to be played by the media. Believe me, if Rush owned the GOP, we would be winning every election.
As long as Republicans are trying to be like liberal Democrats, they are going to keep losing elections. If they would listen to Rush, they would start winning them.
Ok. But here is where I disagree with you. I believe if Rush owned the GOP, the Repugs would be the minority party forever. McCain's error in the last election was to veer right in picking Sarah Palin as his VP. Had he moved to the center, he might well have beaten Obama. As I said before, Rush speaks to the wingnut base of the party but his appeal beyond that is zero. In fact, he does your party harm because many, many people -- particularly independents — do not like him or his vitriol.
If Rush owned the party, there would have been no McCain running for president. Rush has never liked John McCain because of his betrayal of the Republicans on the "gang of 13", campaign finance reform, and the amnesty immigration debate.
Let's be honesty, McCain was never going to beat OBama no matter what. The media built up McCain and then tore him down. Picking Palin may have been his way of getting the conservatives, but anyone could have told him it would not work.
You're probably right that McCain would have lost to Obama even if he had moved towards the center instead of to the right. After Bush, the country was looking for some sanity. Where you're wrong is that it was the media's fault that McCain lost. It was his own undoing.
Haha all the so called leaders are apologizing to him for disagreeing with his comments about obama failing. If he was so insignificant like you say then they wouldn't have to apologize. and I guess you don't think too highly of rush if by some democrats saying he is a leader an attack...
Not at all, it is a compliment to Rush that all the Democrats can talk about is him. They would not be targeting him unless he was significant.
The media characterized Rush's statement falsely and then used it to manipulate Republicans. If President OBama succeeds, this country will fail. Socialism fails every time it is tried. The reason we have most of our problems now is Social Security and Medicare. These two alone are going bankrupt our country.
You are fear-mongering here, another despicable Limbaugh tactic. Obama is no more a socialist than FDR or JFK were. He is pragmatic and open to all ideas. What has bankrupted this country is eight long years of a laisser faire economics and a complete lack of oversight and enforcement of exiting regulations. Wealthy Wall Street bankers and scammers had a field day under Bush and the wingnut Repugs, who were rightly rejected by voters in 2008.
I am not fear-mongering. I am telling the truth. President OBama is a liberal and socialist. He is not open to all Ideas. He just wants people to think he is.
If people break the law, how is having more laws going to stop them? If anything, it is the government forcing banks and financial institutions to loan money to people who could not pay it back that caused most of the problem. I say let the banks fail. Other banks will buy up their assets and make a profit.
You clearly are delusional if you think you can just let the banks fail. You do that and, as history shows, this country's economic system will collapse. Even Bush finally understood that, which is why he put together the first bailout to halt the run on banks by depositors seeking to withdraw their money after the Bush admin stupidly let Lehman Brothers fail. Had they simply done their oversight jobs and enforced existing market regulations, none of this shit would have happened.
You cannot keep pouring money into failing banks. They are going to fail no matter what we do. How has the bailout helped? The bigger banks are taking the money and buying up smaller banks. Now President OBama wants to give away money to every fool who cannot pay their mortgage.
Choices have consequences, whether you are bank or a person. A bad loan is a bad loan. A free loader is free loader.
The bailout has helped by keeping depositors from making a run on ALL banks. I agree that many banks have misused the bailout money, because once again W trusted them fully and put no strings on the money handed out.
Obama's mortgage plan is aimed at helping people who otherwise could pay their mortgage but can't now because of a recent job loss or illness, not "every fool." A foreclosed house on your street drops the value of your home by some 9%. Imagine what 10 such foreclosures would do.
Under normal circumstances, i.e., in a healthy economy, you would let those banks fail and allow foreclosure on those homes. The difference is these are not 'normal' circumstances. Any economist will tell you we are facing a crisis not seen since the Great Depression. That's why extraordinary measures — as unpalatable as they may be in the short term — are required to right the ship.
There were no "runs" at my bank. Every depositor is covered by the FDIC. You know blame Bush for everything is getting a little old and thin. Congress writes the laws and this one was written by the Democrats.
If you cannot pay your mortgage, you lose the house. I understood that when I bought me house. It is already worthless now. Keeping people in houses they cannot afford does not help that situation. They will get something for nothing and I have to pay for it.
There were no runs at your bank because of the bailout, which temporarily raised the amount of insured deposits under FDIC from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor. Had there been no bailout, your bank would very likely be dead now. In the week after Lehman failed, and before the bailout, there was a run on banks to the tune of $500 billion. The bailout was aimed at stemming the tide, which it did. The bailout was largely written by Bush's people. Congress went long with it because they had to.
Under Obama's mortgage plan, people will not get "something for nothing." They will still have to pay their mortgages. What the plan is designed to do is to allow them to re-negotiate the terms of their mortgages so they can make the payments, instead of being strangled by them. There was a lot of predatory lending during the housing bubble, and the plan is designed to correct that. You cannot fix the financial system without fixing the housing market.
Okay obama's intentions whether you agree with them or not are to get the country through all of our obstacles. If he fails at his goals or what he is doing then the country too will fail. You don't sound dumb so you would know anybody promoting his failure or his policies failure is promoting the failure of the country. Thats like me saying I want the manager of the new york yankees to fail, but I want the team to do good. That's impossible, don't you agree?
Not at all. No one is questioning President OBama's intentions. I believe he fully intends to move the country more towards socialism, and away from capitalism. I believe he fully intends to move towards more government control of people's lives, and away from individual responsibility and freedom.
The more successful he is at achieving his goals, the less likely our country is to succeed. Liberals like him believe government is the solution, when it is actually the problem.
but the thing is if he fails no matter what the country is going to fail....only an idiot would believe that if a president fails at anything it would somehow be better, thats unpatriotic to me. if mccain won i would never ever ever ever say i want him to fail because whether or not i like what he's doing i would hope it suceeds. i know you're trying to defend rush and all who agree but the bottom line is, anyone who wants the president to fail is putting politics over there country.
Absolutely not! When President Bush was elected BOTH times, the Democrats worked to make him fail. They released classified materials to the press. They blocked his nominees. They would not even talk about Social Security reform. They lied and the media repeated their lies. Don't use the word "Democrat" and "patriotic" in the same sentence with me. They are ALL about POLITICS.
You missed the whole point. Those who voted for President OBama were duped into believing he was different and going to change things. He is just as political as any Democrat has ever been. The only change is that he is going to take this country into socialism. He is standing around watching the market tank and the banks failing. He is doing nothing. The worse the crisis, the more he can get people to accept government as the solution.
Obama's plan would raise the highest tax rate from 35% currently back to 39%, the rate it was under Ronald Reagan. In addition, corporate tax loopholes, particularly offshore tax havens, would be closed. Furthermore, though an ongoing audit, the Obama admin says it has identified $2 trillion in wasteful government spending over the next 10 years that it wants to eliminate.
Why tax the rich more? Seems to me they have benefited handsomely from a country that has given them the opportunity to accumulate huge amounts of wealth. Oh, they may have to forego getting that fourth 165' yacht this year, but, hey, times are tough for everybody. I also believe a child born in to wealth but who has created none himself has many, many more advantages and opportunities than one born into poverty. It's not asking too much to have the trust fund baby pay a little more, IMO.
That's life! Who appointed you to determine what is fair? Many people who have more, worked hard to earn it. Why doesn't the President TAX wealth instead of income? Let's see him go after the Kennedy's, the Kerry's, and such. Those are your trust fund babies.
Nobody appointed me to anything. It's just my opinion. You do know what an opinion is, don't you? You've been doing nothing here but giving yours and those of your lover, Limbaugh, for the past three days.
@4951WEDDEL What? You think the Kennedy's and the Kerry's don't pay taxes? You're dreaming. Also, with wealth and privilege comes responsibility. If the rich 1% were patriotic, they would be more than willing to pitch in a bit more ... in fact 3% more ... taxes to help get the country back on track. Regardless of how the rich got to be rich, they have a responsibility to their country, not just their pockets.
He hasn't signed a budget yet. The one that's coming up is from last year, when there were many more Republicans in Congress. Of the pork contained in that budget, you'll find the expensive pet projects of Repugs who, as per their usual hypocritical selves, have been howling about "pork" in the stimulus package.
Unless you live in a cave, don't tell me you didn't hear the oft-repeated Republican lie that the stimulus contained an earmark for a high-speed train from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. That is a fabrication, of course, but repugs don't care about what's true or false, just clinging to power any way they can, whether that means lying, cheating or stealing. To them, 'pork' is any spending that doesn't go directly to their wealthy, elitist, well-connected friends.
It is in the bill, just not spelled out exactly. Harry Reed been pushing for it for years. The problem is that it should not have been in a stimulus bill. It should have been in a transportation bill.
As I said before, the plan is designed to help people who are already paying their mortgages but are now in difficulty because of a lost job or illness.
Predatory lending played a big role in the meltdown of the financial system. People were granted loans who in no way met base requirements. The banks knew this but pushed those loans anyway.
Show me the empirical evidence that the CRA pushed lending institutions into making high-risk loans. The subprime excesses mainly came from institutions not regulated by the CRA. A key platform of Bush during the 2004 election was the "Ownership Society," the idea being that greater home ownership among the poor would make them Republicans.
You can look it up. The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, a/k/a the bailout, was proposed in September 2008 by Henry Paulson, US Secretary of Treasury under President Bush. It was approved in a 74-25 vote by the Senate on Oct. 1, and approved in a 263-171 vote by the House on Oct 3. President Bush signed it into law three hours later.
Nor the Repugs who also voted for it and the Repug president who initiated it and signed it into law after his policies, his lack of oversight and his a failure to execute regulations contributed enormously to the stinking financial and economic mess we are in.
You said it yourself. "Actions have consequences." Inaction does as well.
You're dillusional if you think a president can affect the market. It was gonna tank regardless. You really think anybody can instantly stop the global financial hemorraging? It's got everything to do with the relentless bad news and the economic forecast, nothing to do with the pres. Ask any trader.
too bad obama didnt start it...bush did don't pin the blame on obama...funny how all republicans make tons of excuses when bush is in office, from its congress' fault or the financial system....but then a month into obama being in office all of a sudden "it's his fault see how the markets are falling." thats so much hipocrisy it's not even funny. thats why the republican party is a circus right now
BULLSHIT!!! Both Bernanke & Greenspan stated that Freddy & Fannie Mae were NOT the cause of the melt down. Low interest rates and DEREGULATION was.
I made a mistake in presuming that the self-interests of organizations, specifically banks and others, were such as that they were best capable of protecting their own shareholders and their equity in the firms. I have found a flaw. I dont know how significant or permanent it is. But I have been very distressed by that fact, (greenspan)
Many, many others disagree. I have already investigated this. Perhaps you should as well.
Regardless what caused it, forcing taxpayers to bail them out is both morally and economically wrong. The DOW isn't in freefall for nothing. You can ony blame George Bush for so long, then you have to own up.
Evolution kills off the weak and the strong prosper. Government tries to reverse that process to buy votes.
Oh well. In the end, Steele, like all Repugs, had to recant the criticisms he made here and apologize to the Great Ayatollah Limbaugh, or face 10 years hard labor in the re-education camp. Repugs love freedom of speech, as long as it's been approved by Joseph Stalin Limbaugh.
What?!? We expected Bush to fail, but not once did we ever HOPE that he failed! Ever heard of shooting yourself in the foot? That's the equivalent.
Do you know how many Obama supporters rallied around Bush after 9/11 only to see him squander that political capital on personal vendettas and agendas?
I'm a conservative, and I hate just about all of the so called leaders, because they are not really conservative, and are not sound in their principles. I look more to Ron Paul than any of those other people. At least he has consistent views, votes that way, and has some morals.
Me too. Ron Paul is the only conservative I have respect for. He isn't a sell out and sticks to his core principles. But a conservative is not the same thing as a Republican.
Ron Paul is not a conservative he is a libertarian.
The past Conservative convention were full of people kissing Rush's ass so either you are not a conservative or they stole the name.
Being a conservative in the United States is an Oxymoron. This country was meant to be constantly changing. Synonyms of Conservative: Conformist, old-fashioned, unadventurous, old school......
You're funny. This country was created to restrain government in pursuit of individual liberty. Constantly changing is fine, but not in the liberal sense which is socialism. A real conservative is Libertarian, but you fail to see that the Libertarians left the Republican party because they were becoming too moderate.
You're just spouting off generalities which is nonsense. You have no idea what this country was founded on, it was founded on the objection to large government.
Small goverment did work in the 1700's do you know what else was tolerated back then??? Child Labor, Slavery, and Woman did not have a saying on voting of curse small goverment made sense only white guys with wigs had a saying and had control. Your mail is socialist so please stop complaining about socialism. And if you enjoy real talk well this country was stolen not founded.
Why wouldn't small government work now? You have not made a convincing argument. As for the mail, there are certain things that government should control, but mail is rapidly disappearing because of technology. I wouldn't even call it socialism, I would call it a subsidy. You can make your own mail service if you want, this is what UPS, DHL and the like are.
It is clear you don't have a good understanding of things, and only want to spit venom filled with prejudice and generalities.
Unless you were born on the 1800's you have not lived under small goverment so honestly I have no clue what the fuck you are defending something that you have never even lived on. Is not about small goverment or big goverment is about smart goverment. Just because you might not use some of programs the goverment offers does not mean some one else doesn't either. I mean Capitalism is doing wonderful right now huh???
Unless you were born in the 1800's you haven't even seen capitalism. We have had a government hand in the economy since the inception of the Federal Reserve. I would say small government is a smart government, because you should know that the people are generally better equipped to handle most problems in this world. As for captialism now, it was the government subsidizing housing and creating a housing bubble, which they essentially were allowed to gamble on and create an even larger bubble.
Where is your prove that with small goverment , people are generally better equipped. I mean talk about generalizing. small goverment means less schools, less programs, less roads. Population also plays a large number under this small goverment you love so much. Face it all you give a fuck is about you and your surrounding when you, I bet you never needed help form the goverment but not every one is like you. This what it all comes down to.
I think government schools have failed you. I could hardly read that paragraph. No, what I said was I think people are better equipped to handle their problems. Especially education. Since the government has taken over education, the United States has severely fallen in the education rankings. That is proof that bigger national government doesn't work. Also, I'm not talking about roads and all of that, which is state run anyways. You are totally confused about what small government is.
Have you lived under Socialism or are you going to by Capitalist books told you at your big goverment paid school??? Face it you are as clueless of what socialism or small goverment is all about since you have not lived under either of them so tell me how are you comparing them to big goverment???
I'm a Republican and I know that Rush is not my leader. I listen to his show and I think about them critically, he does not dictate how I act as a Republican.
Its very sad that Rush is the leader of the GOP. Who even WANTS bipartisonship with a group like that? Obama's high approval ratings proves he's already reaching out enough.
How is Obama reaching out? High approval right after inaguration is no surprise...but he is starting to blow it with ill-advised stimilus...he is not reaching out, he is "you need to trust what I do, I need to do it quick, and dont ask questions" and unfortunately no one does...he is in the midst of ruining the entire country! And no, Rush is not the Leader. He is just a voice...Steele calling himself "de facto" hits it right on.There is a vacuum right now that needs to be filled >>>RON PAUL!!!
haha the day Rush Limbaugh becomes the leader of a political party is the day the iran will let the nukes fly, out of fear for the ignorance of that man
Steele can say that all he wants, but guess what? in the end, your a puppet. They put you up front because you a black man going against another black man. slave mentality. Just like when reagan put crack in the black community in black hands to sell to other black people. it's a shame nobody sees this.
The way Steele made his comments in this video are VERY different to the way they are being reported. The way I read it, it sounded like he expressed his view more forcefully. On the contrary - having watched this, he comes off as sheepish and apologetic.
This is compounded by the fact that he followed up his comments with an apology to Rush Limbaugh...
If Michael Steele was hoping to bring the GOP back from the brink of insanity, he has failed miserably. Rush Limbaugh has hijacked this party.
Yeah its a pretty good show too. He lets everyone express thier views and questions them a bit. Also he never really seems to take anyones complete side and listens to what they say while still being funny. All and all i think the show is pretty funny and very good weather you are on the left or the right of the political spectrum.
I know, it was ridiculous having a funy guy on CNN (the audience is so serious, they never laugh at his jokes). My understanding is Larry King may have had a funny bone before he died 30 years ago.
CNN is trying to compete with Comedy Central, and they wanted to give a black guy a show. I was skeptical at first, given his jokes and only black guests, but I'm glad his intelligent honesty is there to call out Steele and the Republicans.
uh, fox has redeye. dennis miller is on fox fairly frequently. he's also pretty funny to me. nevertheless, a comedian is the perfect commentator on news, etc. because they have insight & a knack for finding irony. as far as the need for a "black guy show" that's kinda weird because at last peek, they have 8 black anchors. and yeah, hughley was on point for calling out steele. but he should have really gone at him harder. the GOP needs to be exposed for the cynicism in hiring steele

4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Hmm. I just read about a Gallup poll showing that Limbaugh is more unpopular than Bush, who is still viewed very unfavorably by the vast majority of Americans. But I'm sure you'll just dismiss those results since they don't fit with your strident ideology.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Did not such polls show John Kerry winning the presidency? People will lie to pollsters especially when they think the person will not like their response. Rush Limbaugh continues to be successful and the more Democrats talk about him, the greater his success will be.
They have to try and silence him because he exposes their lies and deceit. They never deal with the content of what he says.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Of course you dismiss polls that don't fit your wingnut ideology. But what's funny is that you really expect everybody else to believe the ridiculous statement you just made up, i.e. "The majority of people agree with 90% of what Rush talks about."
Further, nobody wants to 'silence' the blowhard voice of the GOP. That's another persecution fallacy swallowed by gullible Limbaugh listeners.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
I dismiss them because they are worthless. Polls are easily to manipulate and prove nothing.
You keep calling him the "voice of the GOP". That is a lie being pushed by the liberal Democrats. Rush speaks for himself and himself alone, as a conservative. Never do liberal actually deal with the content of what he says. They only seek to distort phrases.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Polls are worthless to you because they don't serve your hero's cause of failure. But polls are useful in that they provide a snapshot of public opinion at a point in time. For instance, a Wall Street Journal poll out today shows that voters trust the Dems over the Repugs on the economy by a margin of 2 to 1.
Limbaugh is the de facto voice of the GOP. GOPers must worship his every word or risk his wrath. They are not free to disagree, unless they publicly recant and kiss his fat, sweaty ass.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
With the media in their back pocket, the Democrats can lie and deceive the public. There is no de facto leader of the Republican party. That is nothing more the media doing the Democrats bidding again.
Republicans are losing because they are trying to be like Democrats. Conservatives win big when they govern like conservative. Just wait until inflation kicks in and pricing start going up. Energy will be the first rise because of the Carbon tax. Then take you polls and see.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Media in their back pocket? Another lie promoted by Joseph Stalin Limbaugh, who is such a big media personality, he has become the de facto voice of the GOP. The Wall Street Journal is owned by Rupert Murdoch, a well-known conservative and media magnate who also owns Fox.
Repugs are losing because they have no spine and refuse to reject the politics of failure promoted by Limbaugh, while the country is reeling from 8 years of Repug lies, abuse and mismanagement. Heckuva job Brownie!
nothankyoumam 2 years ago

When will the media start the running body count of the innocent civilians being killed in Pakistan by President OBama's predator strikes?
When will we see the flag-draped coffins of the dead soldiers President OBama is sending into Afghanistan?
Where is the media in vetting these cabinet picks of OBama? Why is it only the conservatives that are questioning their creditability?
Why is the media not exploring the tremendous waste of government money in the so called "stimulus bill"?
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
I don't know what papers you read, but I've read accounts of Pakistani claims of civilians deaths from Predator strikes, which by the way were also used under Bush and continued under Obama.
I'm sure you'll see those coffins now that Obama has lifted the ban enacted by Bush.
It's been widely reported that some Obama picks have had to withdraw from consideration because of tax issues.
Anybody can explore the stimulus package. It's posted online. I've read press accounts about what's in it.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
You are missing the point completely. When Bush used the strikes, the media would lead the news with the story and repeat it and repeat it. There would be a running count kept and mentioned everyday of the soldiers killed in battle. They are treating OBama differently than they did Bush.
Widely reported, but only after conservative blogs and talk radio exposed it. These media services have far more researchers than Rush does. They knew about Tom Dascle's tax problem before anyone.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
I agree that the media is treating O differently than W. Bush had a nice long honeymoon that lasted well into his third year, and, even then, when anybody questioned the Iraq war or his war strategy, they were accused of being unpatriotic. Obama's been in office just six weeks and all you see is Repugs howling disingenuously about how the stimulus package is 'full of pork' or publicly apologizing to Limbaugh for having dared to disagree with him.
Limblubber did not break the Daschle story.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago 2
What world are you living in? The media never gave President Bush a "honeymoon". They started with the false documents in the campaign and continued right into his presidency. President OBama will never have to face any scrutiny from the press. He is their guy!
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
LOL! That's another canard straight from the Limbaugh playbook. The 'liberal media conspiracy' mantra is recited over and over again by Limbaugh, mouthpiece of the GOP, and his blind followers, in the false hope that if you repeat something often enough, people will think it's actually true. But the fact is it's crap that no serious person believes.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
You mean liberal person believes. Facts are facts.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
No I meant what I said. But I am having fun watching the Repug follies. Steele says, "Limbaugh's not the voice of the GOP! I'm the voice of the GOP!" Then he has to publicly apologize to Limbaugh, who threatens to stop reading RNC talking points on his show. LOL! Limbaugh pounds his chest at CPAC about liberty, yet he tolerates no dissension from within its ranks, and the irony is lost on the Repugs. He talks about individual responsibility, yet he weighs 400 pounds! You can't make this up. LOL!
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
You keep demonstrating your complete ignorance of what Rush does everyday. If you listened at all you would know he does not reading anyone's talking points. He had been critical of President Bush and the Republicans as much as of the Democrats.
What does Rush's weight had to do with individual responsibility? He pays for his own health care. Not like the welfare crowd OBama plays to who smoke and eat and then send me the bill.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Oh, I've heard Limbaugh plenty. I've even read one of his half-literate books. He's an overpaid, overweight buffoon with a microphone and a mouth that can't stop talking, mostly and ultimately about himself.
The fact that he has become the de facto voice of the GOP only goes to show just how far the Repugs have fallen after being so soundly rejected by voters in 2008. Rush speaks to the party's wingnut base, but beyond that, he has no appeal and will never be able to broaden the party tent.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Talk about repeating talking points! Look who keeps repeating the Democrat mantra, "de facto voice of GOP". There is nothing de facto about it. It is an intentional strategy of the Democrat party to attack the Republicans through Rush Limbaugh.
You are not very good at hiding your envy of the man. He has more influence than you can deal with. The votes did not reject conservatism. They rejected McCain's moderate Republicanism. Working with Democrats only makes this worse, never better.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
explain how saying that somebody is the leader of a party atacking someone? thats not attacking at all. If they came out and said republicans are idiots because of Limbaugh then it would be but their not. That argument makes no sense
wavycrockett420 2 years ago
The Democrats are attacking the Republicans by attempting to MAKE Rush Limbaugh the "leader" when it is ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY FALSE. Since they cannot defend their actions on their own merits, they deflect attention through this nonsense. Rush is not the leader of the Republican part, not now, not ever. His ideas are HIS ideas.
He did not attack anyone. Michael Steele allowed himself to be portrayed as attacking Rush. For this, he apologized to Rush. It is nothing more than that.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
You know, you are so in love with Limbaugh, maybe you two should just get married. Good luck in trying to find a ring big enough to go round his finger!
Let see Steele, Georgia Congressman Phil Gingery, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, and (soon) Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor have all had to recant criticism and apologize to Limbaugh, because he owns the GOP!
Now Steele says he plans to put the party through a 12-step program.
Step one is grow a pair and stop kissing Limbaugh's ass!
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
I respect Rush Limbaugh as a conservative. I disagree with him on many subjects. These Republican leaders have allowed themselves to be played by the media. Believe me, if Rush owned the GOP, we would be winning every election.
As long as Republicans are trying to be like liberal Democrats, they are going to keep losing elections. If they would listen to Rush, they would start winning them.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
In fact, he does your party harm because many, many people -- particularly independents — do not like him or his vitriol.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
If Rush owned the party, there would have been no McCain running for president. Rush has never liked John McCain because of his betrayal of the Republicans on the "gang of 13", campaign finance reform, and the amnesty immigration debate.
Let's be honesty, McCain was never going to beat OBama no matter what. The media built up McCain and then tore him down. Picking Palin may have been his way of getting the conservatives, but anyone could have told him it would not work.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
You're probably right that McCain would have lost to Obama even if he had moved towards the center instead of to the right. After Bush, the country was looking for some sanity. Where you're wrong is that it was the media's fault that McCain lost. It was his own undoing.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Haha all the so called leaders are apologizing to him for disagreeing with his comments about obama failing. If he was so insignificant like you say then they wouldn't have to apologize. and I guess you don't think too highly of rush if by some democrats saying he is a leader an attack...
wavycrockett420 2 years ago
Not at all, it is a compliment to Rush that all the Democrats can talk about is him. They would not be targeting him unless he was significant.
The media characterized Rush's statement falsely and then used it to manipulate Republicans. If President OBama succeeds, this country will fail. Socialism fails every time it is tried. The reason we have most of our problems now is Social Security and Medicare. These two alone are going bankrupt our country.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
You are fear-mongering here, another despicable Limbaugh tactic. Obama is no more a socialist than FDR or JFK were. He is pragmatic and open to all ideas. What has bankrupted this country is eight long years of a laisser faire economics and a complete lack of oversight and enforcement of exiting regulations. Wealthy Wall Street bankers and scammers had a field day under Bush and the wingnut Repugs, who were rightly rejected by voters in 2008.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
I am not fear-mongering. I am telling the truth. President OBama is a liberal and socialist. He is not open to all Ideas. He just wants people to think he is.
If people break the law, how is having more laws going to stop them? If anything, it is the government forcing banks and financial institutions to loan money to people who could not pay it back that caused most of the problem. I say let the banks fail. Other banks will buy up their assets and make a profit.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
You clearly are delusional if you think you can just let the banks fail. You do that and, as history shows, this country's economic system will collapse. Even Bush finally understood that, which is why he put together the first bailout to halt the run on banks by depositors seeking to withdraw their money after the Bush admin stupidly let Lehman Brothers fail. Had they simply done their oversight jobs and enforced existing market regulations, none of this shit would have happened.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
You cannot keep pouring money into failing banks. They are going to fail no matter what we do. How has the bailout helped? The bigger banks are taking the money and buying up smaller banks. Now President OBama wants to give away money to every fool who cannot pay their mortgage.
Choices have consequences, whether you are bank or a person. A bad loan is a bad loan. A free loader is free loader.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
The bailout has helped by keeping depositors from making a run on ALL banks. I agree that many banks have misused the bailout money, because once again W trusted them fully and put no strings on the money handed out.
Obama's mortgage plan is aimed at helping people who otherwise could pay their mortgage but can't now because of a recent job loss or illness, not "every fool." A foreclosed house on your street drops the value of your home by some 9%. Imagine what 10 such foreclosures would do.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Cont.
Under normal circumstances, i.e., in a healthy economy, you would let those banks fail and allow foreclosure on those homes. The difference is these are not 'normal' circumstances. Any economist will tell you we are facing a crisis not seen since the Great Depression. That's why extraordinary measures — as unpalatable as they may be in the short term — are required to right the ship.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
There were no "runs" at my bank. Every depositor is covered by the FDIC. You know blame Bush for everything is getting a little old and thin. Congress writes the laws and this one was written by the Democrats.
If you cannot pay your mortgage, you lose the house. I understood that when I bought me house. It is already worthless now. Keeping people in houses they cannot afford does not help that situation. They will get something for nothing and I have to pay for it.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
There were no runs at your bank because of the bailout, which temporarily raised the amount of insured deposits under FDIC from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor. Had there been no bailout, your bank would very likely be dead now. In the week after Lehman failed, and before the bailout, there was a run on banks to the tune of $500 billion. The bailout was aimed at stemming the tide, which it did. The bailout was largely written by Bush's people. Congress went long with it because they had to.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Under Obama's mortgage plan, people will not get "something for nothing." They will still have to pay their mortgages. What the plan is designed to do is to allow them to re-negotiate the terms of their mortgages so they can make the payments, instead of being strangled by them. There was a lot of predatory lending during the housing bubble, and the plan is designed to correct that. You cannot fix the financial system without fixing the housing market.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Obama's tax plan is designed to give 95% of Americans a tax break. So unless you are one of the wealthy, you should see your taxes go down.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
There is not enough money in taxing the 5% at 100% to cover his spending. It is going to come down to ALL of us eventually.
On the other hand, why is it right to tax the rich more and us less if we use the services of government more than they?
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Okay obama's intentions whether you agree with them or not are to get the country through all of our obstacles. If he fails at his goals or what he is doing then the country too will fail. You don't sound dumb so you would know anybody promoting his failure or his policies failure is promoting the failure of the country. Thats like me saying I want the manager of the new york yankees to fail, but I want the team to do good. That's impossible, don't you agree?
wavycrockett420 2 years ago
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
but the thing is if he fails no matter what the country is going to fail....only an idiot would believe that if a president fails at anything it would somehow be better, thats unpatriotic to me. if mccain won i would never ever ever ever say i want him to fail because whether or not i like what he's doing i would hope it suceeds. i know you're trying to defend rush and all who agree but the bottom line is, anyone who wants the president to fail is putting politics over there country.
wavycrockett420 2 years ago 2
Absolutely not! When President Bush was elected BOTH times, the Democrats worked to make him fail. They released classified materials to the press. They blocked his nominees. They would not even talk about Social Security reform. They lied and the media repeated their lies. Don't use the word "Democrat" and "patriotic" in the same sentence with me. They are ALL about POLITICS.

Furthermore, though an ongoing audit, the Obama admin says it has identified $2 trillion in wasteful government spending over the next 10 years that it wants to eliminate.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Why tax the rich more? Seems to me they have benefited handsomely from a country that has given them the opportunity to accumulate huge amounts of wealth. Oh, they may have to forego getting that fourth 165' yacht this year, but, hey, times are tough for everybody. I also believe a child born in to wealth but who has created none himself has many, many more advantages and opportunities than one born into poverty. It's not asking too much to have the trust fund baby pay a little more, IMO.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago

4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Using your logic, why is it fair that people in the highest tax bracket under Reagan, should pay less under Bush?
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Everyone should pay the same rate regardless of income.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
@4951WEDDEL What? You think the Kennedy's and the Kerry's don't pay taxes? You're dreaming. Also, with wealth and privilege comes responsibility. If the rich 1% were patriotic, they would be more than willing to pitch in a bit more ... in fact 3% more ... taxes to help get the country back on track. Regardless of how the rich got to be rich, they have a responsibility to their country, not just their pockets.

And he will add 10 dollars in spending for every "cut". Don't be surprised if every cut in the defense dept.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Prove it.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Look at his budget and you will see your proof.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
He hasn't signed a budget yet. The one that's coming up is from last year, when there were many more Republicans in Congress. Of the pork contained in that budget, you'll find the expensive pet projects of Repugs who, as per their usual hypocritical selves, have been howling about "pork" in the stimulus package.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
He has proposed one. The Republicans did not complain about the "pork", only that it was NOT a stimulus bill, but a spending bill.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Unless you live in a cave, don't tell me you didn't hear the oft-repeated Republican lie that the stimulus contained an earmark for a high-speed train from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. That is a fabrication, of course, but repugs don't care about what's true or false, just clinging to power any way they can, whether that means lying, cheating or stealing. To them, 'pork' is any spending that doesn't go directly to their wealthy, elitist, well-connected friends.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
It is in the bill, just not spelled out exactly. Harry Reed been pushing for it for years. The problem is that it should not have been in a stimulus bill. It should have been in a transportation bill.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
People who are too stupid to read their mortgages and pay them are not going to pay their loans after they are "re-negotiated".
The problem of "predatory lending" is not as bad as the problem of irresponsible people being rewarded for being irresponsible.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
As I said before, the plan is designed to help people who are already paying their mortgages but are now in difficulty because of a lost job or illness.
Predatory lending played a big role in the meltdown of the financial system. People were granted loans who in no way met base requirements. The banks knew this but pushed those loans anyway.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
It is called the "Community Reinvestment Act". Look it up....I believe it was pushed by President Clinton.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Show me the empirical evidence that the CRA pushed lending institutions into making high-risk loans. The subprime excesses mainly came from institutions not regulated by the CRA. A key platform of Bush during the 2004 election was the "Ownership Society," the idea being that greater home ownership among the poor would make them Republicans.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
Ownership requires responsibility.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
The Democrats "went along". Yeah, right!
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
You can look it up. The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, a/k/a the bailout, was proposed in September 2008 by Henry Paulson, US Secretary of Treasury under President Bush. It was approved in a 74-25 vote by the Senate on Oct. 1, and approved in a 263-171 vote by the House on Oct 3. President Bush signed it into law three hours later.
nothankyoumam 2 years ago
I understand that, but that does not absolve the Democrats from responsibility for voting for it.
4951WEDDEL 2 years ago
Nor the Repugs who also voted for it and the Repug president who initiated it and signed it into law after his policies, his lack of oversight and his a failure to execute regulations contributed enormously to the stinking financial and economic mess we are in.
You said it yourself. "Actions have consequences." Inaction does as well.

You're dillusional if you think a president can affect the market. It was gonna tank regardless. You really think anybody can instantly stop the global financial hemorraging? It's got everything to do with the relentless bad news and the economic forecast, nothing to do with the pres. Ask any trader.

DOW down 35%+ and falling since Wall Street realized Obama would win.
How's that "Change" working out for you?
VerbotenDingleberry 2 years ago
too bad obama didnt start it...bush did don't pin the blame on obama...funny how all republicans make tons of excuses when bush is in office, from its congress' fault or the financial system....but then a month into obama being in office all of a sudden "it's his fault see how the markets are falling." thats so much hipocrisy it's not even funny. thats why the republican party is a circus right now
wavycrockett420 2 years ago
I'm not a Republican, I'm a Conservative (leaning Libertarian).
I have no party.
The chioce now is between Fascists and Fascist-Lites.
That said, Fanny and Freddy (the ignition point for much of this mess) were Democrat (Fascist) institutions (GSE's).
All Government is evil, which is why Conservatives want as little of it as is humanly possible and all of *that* held to as local a level as possible.
Just be careful to blame Democrats and Republicans, not Conservatives.
VerbotenDingleberry 2 years ago
But I have been very distressed by that fact, (greenspan)
wtfoof 2 years ago 2
Oh my, he yelled "BULLSHIT", I must be wrong...
And *this* is what you get.
VerbotenDingleberry 2 years ago

I don't remember anyone saying they wanted bush to fail, I just remember people commenting on his many failures. there is a difference.

What's wrong with Rush wanting Obama to fail?
Obama and his supporters wanted Bush to fail and consequently America to fail so now karma is coming home to roost.

"Obama and his supporters wanted Bush to fail"
What?!? We expected Bush to fail, but not once did we ever HOPE that he failed! Ever heard of shooting yourself in the foot? That's the equivalent.
Do you know how many Obama supporters rallied around Bush after 9/11 only to see him squander that political capital on personal vendettas and agendas?

Conservatives role models:
An animal killer ignorant bimbo = Palin
A pill popping comedian = Rush
A fake plumber = Joe
This Hypocrite bitches conservatives want to talk shit about Bush when they kiss his ass all last 8 years. Conservatives keeping America full of shit.

Not actually, those are the heroes of Republicans, not Conservatives. There is a big difference.
GivettheGAS 2 years ago
who's the hero's of conservatives other than rush
wavycrockett420 2 years ago
I'm a conservative, and I hate just about all of the so called leaders, because they are not really conservative, and are not sound in their principles. I look more to Ron Paul than any of those other people. At least he has consistent views, votes that way, and has some morals.
GivettheGAS 2 years ago
im a democrat and paul is the only republican i got respect for right now
wavycrockett420 2 years ago
Me too. Ron Paul is the only conservative I have respect for. He isn't a sell out and sticks to his core principles. But a conservative is not the same thing as a Republican.
HabitualNightOwl 2 years ago
Ron Paul is not a conservative he is a libertarian.
The past Conservative convention were full of people kissing Rush's ass so either you are not a conservative or they stole the name.
Being a conservative in the United States is an Oxymoron. This country was meant to be constantly changing. Synonyms of Conservative: Conformist, old-fashioned, unadventurous, old school......
....Everything this country is NOT!!!
gallomex13 2 years ago
Shhh, don't crack through Ron Paul wordplay BS, it's working for him! ;)
gobbledygookie 2 years ago
You're funny. This country was created to restrain government in pursuit of individual liberty. Constantly changing is fine, but not in the liberal sense which is socialism. A real conservative is Libertarian, but you fail to see that the Libertarians left the Republican party because they were becoming too moderate.
You're just spouting off generalities which is nonsense. You have no idea what this country was founded on, it was founded on the objection to large government.
GivettheGAS 2 years ago
Small goverment did work in the 1700's do you know what else was tolerated back then??? Child Labor, Slavery, and Woman did not have a saying on voting of curse small goverment made sense only white guys with wigs had a saying and had control. Your mail is socialist so please stop complaining about socialism. And if you enjoy real talk well this country was stolen not founded.
gallomex13 2 years ago
Why wouldn't small government work now? You have not made a convincing argument. As for the mail, there are certain things that government should control, but mail is rapidly disappearing because of technology. I wouldn't even call it socialism, I would call it a subsidy. You can make your own mail service if you want, this is what UPS, DHL and the like are.
It is clear you don't have a good understanding of things, and only want to spit venom filled with prejudice and generalities.
GivettheGAS 2 years ago
Unless you were born on the 1800's you have not lived under small goverment so honestly I have no clue what the fuck you are defending something that you have never even lived on. Is not about small goverment or big goverment is about smart goverment. Just because you might not use some of programs the goverment offers does not mean some one else doesn't either. I mean Capitalism is doing wonderful right now huh???
gallomex13 2 years ago
Unless you were born in the 1800's you haven't even seen capitalism. We have had a government hand in the economy since the inception of the Federal Reserve. I would say small government is a smart government, because you should know that the people are generally better equipped to handle most problems in this world. As for captialism now, it was the government subsidizing housing and creating a housing bubble, which they essentially were allowed to gamble on and create an even larger bubble.
GivettheGAS 2 years ago
Where is your prove that with small goverment , people are generally better equipped. I mean talk about generalizing. small goverment means less schools, less programs, less roads. Population also plays a large number under this small goverment you love so much. Face it all you give a fuck is about you and your surrounding when you, I bet you never needed help form the goverment but not every one is like you. This what it all comes down to.
gallomex13 2 years ago
I think government schools have failed you. I could hardly read that paragraph. No, what I said was I think people are better equipped to handle their problems. Especially education. Since the government has taken over education, the United States has severely fallen in the education rankings. That is proof that bigger national government doesn't work. Also, I'm not talking about roads and all of that, which is state run anyways. You are totally confused about what small government is.
GivettheGAS 2 years ago
Have you lived under Socialism or are you going to by Capitalist books told you at your big goverment paid school??? Face it you are as clueless of what socialism or small goverment is all about since you have not lived under either of them so tell me how are you comparing them to big goverment???

fighting4air 2 years ago
Its very sad that Rush is the leader of the GOP. Who even WANTS bipartisonship with a group like that? Obama's high approval ratings proves he's already reaching out enough.
synch1216 2 years ago
How is Obama reaching out? High approval right after inaguration is no surprise...but he is starting to blow it with ill-advised stimilus...he is not reaching out, he is "you need to trust what I do, I need to do it quick, and dont ask questions" and unfortunately no one does...he is in the midst of ruining the entire country! And no, Rush is not the Leader. He is just a voice...Steele calling himself "de facto" hits it right on.There is a vacuum right now that needs to be filled >>>RON PAUL!!!

carrierexchange 2 years ago 2
The way Steele made his comments in this video are VERY different to the way they are being reported. The way I read it, it sounded like he expressed his view more forcefully. On the contrary - having watched this, he comes off as sheepish and apologetic.
This is compounded by the fact that he followed up his comments with an apology to Rush Limbaugh...
If Michael Steele was hoping to bring the GOP back from the brink of insanity, he has failed miserably. Rush Limbaugh has hijacked this party.

If Rush "hijacked" the party, his base was carrying the box cutters - quite happily.

Starmexus84 2 years ago
Yeah its a pretty good show too. He lets everyone express thier views and questions them a bit. Also he never really seems to take anyones complete side and listens to what they say while still being funny. All and all i think the show is pretty funny and very good weather you are on the left or the right of the political spectrum.

first off . wow lots of comments, few views.
second what is D.L. doin . is he a news guy now? seriously im curious . (:
archaedemos 2 years ago
I know, it was ridiculous having a funy guy on CNN (the audience is so serious, they never laugh at his jokes). My understanding is Larry King may have had a funny bone before he died 30 years ago.
CNN is trying to compete with Comedy Central, and they wanted to give a black guy a show. I was skeptical at first, given his jokes and only black guests, but I'm glad his intelligent honesty is there to call out Steele and the Republicans.
seededsoul 2 years ago
uh, fox has redeye. dennis miller is on fox fairly frequently. he's also pretty funny to me. nevertheless, a comedian is the perfect commentator on news, etc. because they have insight & a knack for finding irony. as far as the need for a "black guy show" that's kinda weird because at last peek, they have 8 black anchors. and yeah, hughley was on point for calling out steele. but he should have really gone at him harder. the GOP needs to be exposed for the cynicism in hiring steele
