  • Hey gr8!! thanks :)

    i ve one prob though!!

it plays only in my frnt speakers...how to play it on all my speakers????

    please please reply

  • Or you can use an fm transmitter.

  • warning!!!!!!

99% OF PLAYERS THESE ARE AUDIO OUT NOT AUDIO IN!

  • @somervillearron very true :)

  • Those inputs must be AUX IN for that application to work. Most stereos have AUX OUT for amplifiers. If you have an older player than has a DIN connection you can find a DIN to 3.5 MM plug on Ebay or elsewhere and it will allow your deck to play through the AUX IN source. If you go thru SOURCE you will usually see CD<TAPE<AUX AUX usually will not show unless something is plugged in.

  • Is it easy to go back to the radio and CD player whenever you want to and then switch back to the iPod?

  • I get my car tomorrow, and I really want to try this out, but I don't want to damage it in any way..

  • does every car have the red and white outlets in the back of the stereo? what about a 1994 honda accord

  • looking to buy a 91 Volkswagen GTI. I must have my iPod integrated in the car like i have on my 00 Civic, connects to iPod DOCK not headphone input. charges the ipod, can change songs with original Honda stereo. thats how I like it. this method isnt good enough for me, cable must connect to the iPod dock to charge it... i wonder what imma do then.

  • I Did everything but the sound is only on my back speakers N Its not iven loud enough

  • How Is The Cable Called

  • Thanks for your tutorial. I just did this on my car and found out my stereo has that in the back and it works. I can finally use my iPod in my car and I think you just saved me some cash cause I was about to buy a new car stereo lol.

  • Not. All stereos have audio-in

Most stereos NOW A DAYS have audio-out for front and front-speakers/rear sub amp

  • Just the video I was looking for thank man

  • i got a minivan to chrysler to have them take out the stereo thing and had them check for aux there wasnt. it was an infinity audio soundsystem

  • you can just shove the ipod into the cd player and it will eork.

i put mine inside my cd player and it plays

  • Dollar*

  • -_- how about do it the easy way and buy the plug from dallorworld

  • What if your cd player doesn't have the red and white inputs in the back of it. I have a 10 year old factory cavalier cd player. How would I do this?

  • I DONT HAVE THE LUXURY OF HAVING THE AUX PORT IN THE FRONT JUST LIKE YOU, BUT BEFORE I GO TO OPEN IT, ARE YOU SURE THAT MY KENWOOD CAR STEREO HAVE THOSE RED AND WHITE PORTS AT THE BACK? THANKS

  • Where did you get your cable you just installed? And how Much?

  • @9inch1000 RadioShack. cost about 10-11 bucks!

  • dude I have a Volkswagen Fox (2008) and inside the glove box it has a black aux cable thing and its plugged one side ok and the other side I plug into my iPod...but when I press CD on the stereo it says ''no cd''. I tried pressing CD two times to see if it would switch to Aux mode or something but nothing happens :-/ What could be the problem maybe its the wiring inside the car radio or maybe I'm pressing the wrong button. Thanks for your help.

  • @jamesbond728 when i have the ipod plugged in, i dont have the stereo under CD Mode. i have it on the radio. try using the radio and set the volume to 1 or 2 and play ur ipod on full blast. hopefully this works for you!

  • @DannyShreds87 Thanks for replying, I will try that as soon as ı get my car back from being serviced have a nice day dude :)

  • @DannyShreds87 mine works. but now my speakers gets divided into two. left speaker plays the ipod and right speaker on the radio. can anyone help me get both sides playing the ipod?

  • i bought my car used and i took out my radio and i found one of those cables already in it. i pulled the wire untill i got to the other end and just pluged it in my ipod. im such a beast

  • @killer491712 glad it worked out for u man! you just saved a lot of cash!

  • I dnt hav a stereo face that just pops off,, eo how would I do that then??? I need feedback asap

  • @meggoo12 you would probably need to unscrew the body or the dashboard so that u can take out your stereo unit and check in the back if you have the two red and white inputs.

  • I REALLY NEED HELP RIGHT HERE BROTHER. I HAVE AN ALPINE STEREO. I FOLLOWED ALL THE STEPS IN THIS VIDEO YOU SHOWED US. PUT THE VOLUME ON 1 AND TURNED MY IPOD ALL THE WAY UP. AND IT DID NOT WORK. WHAT CAN I DO? PLEASE HELP ME, I AM TIRED OF CD'S. SEND ME A MESSAGE OR YOU EMAIL OR WHAT EVER YOU CAN DO TO HELP ME. THANKS A LOT I WILL REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

  • @klachi7 did u use the correct cable? i got mine for 10 bucks at RadioShack? is your stereo connected properly to your speakers? i know how you feel. changing CDs all the time blows

  • @DannyShreds87 I did use the same cable you used. I got mine at waltmart for ten buck as well. I think the stereo it;s connected properly to the speakers since you can hear a cd playing or the radio. What can it be? the stero is an alpine and the car a jetta. thanks for taking the time to answer me.

  • @klachi7 im not too sure man. mine is an old car stereo and i just gave it a shot for fun and it actually worked! the holes in the back are actually meant for an amp to go into the stereo. maybe not all stereos are compatible with this method, but i dont know which ones do and dont work. try using a diff. cable? good luck man

  • Hi, in what radio station do you have the car stereo?

  • @hansterpeace

i dont remember, BUT it doesnt matter which radio station i am on. place the volume on 1 on the stereo face, and put the ipod on full volume because it's the ipod that will now control the volume of the speakers.

  • how to change the face of the stereo to AUX?

  • Nice tutorial. I think the volume control issue might be stereo model specific. I had the same type of setup in my old car and had total EQ and Volume control. BTW, the red and white holes are called RCA jacks.
