God damn those echos. He sounded great until he switched that thing on. This stuff about 'making your signal punch through better' is a load of old crap. Echos are toys, gimmicks, nothing more. They make your signal less readable, and annoy the hell out of moaning farts like me.
Back in the 80s every kid at my school had a cb and come 4 o,clock you could,nt find a clear channel!! I,m now into Amateur Radio and still have a lotta fun with that on the local VHF and UHF freqs. Still got an Audioline in the garage, might put it back in my works van for old times sake. 73s, ian, Bionic Budgie aka,
Hi ya Red Devil, I hope cb is alive where you are, here in Norfolk it,s DEAD bar a few tractor drivers and the odd truckers. The days of 14 for a copy have long gone. The cbs around here are used by groups who know each other already. Shetland535

They were the good old days of illegal AM.Illegal to manufacture, sell, install or use a rig back then, but my god everybody had one.
Meet at your local breakers club every week.
Wear your badge with pride. "youve just eyeballed Pebbledasher"
lol.
It was the original cost effective way to talk across town, long before mobile phones or skype,or even the tinterweb.
LONG LIVE CB RADIO.
Its where most hams got the experience, and gained confidence to take the ticket.
