looking at that, its not because of the hard launch as it already surviived that bit. its when the rear wheel lifts when the front end comes back down causing the rear wheel to spin a bit and when it gets grip again, you can see it dump its guts.

@thaandiesel yea 4G64 with a built evo 8 head. made 389hp and 442tq today on a crapy stock turbo on pump gas no meth. E85 is coming next month with a new wastegate actuator because it was only a 25psi pull

@abeerbeer1 - do you understand that I build transmissions????? I have broken several shep transmissions over the years. The transmission did not break; the rear diff cover broke, causing the diff, axles, driveshaft and subframe to get damaged from a hard launch. Everything that broke has been heavily modified and upgraded since this failure.

@1PARADOXXX prolly, but its really not cost effective, and strength vs weight isnt really a concern when you are making good power.  putting a beefier diff would be ideal vs something titanium or other highend metals.
