What a melody! I wish there were such bands today and I'm an 18 year old boy. Music has no age limit / gender / language / religion / nationality. Its universal!
If the seekers were the sublime choral group of their time (of all times i could say) this song was their masterpiece... Their unbelievable harmonies combined with this unbelievable, dynamic music led to this devine result, which will for ever remain unsurpassed. Such a capturing sound will never be! I've been listening to this for almost half a century, since i was a kid, and still makes my soul fly away. The seekers introduced me to the world of music and made me loving it! God bless them!
Fantastic group from the '60s.This is one of my favs, along with their hit Another You I remember a country singer ripped off the Seekers hits. His name was Sonny James. His versions were obviously not as good . Both songs were big hits in the US in 1965
hello there this is a great video and song by to me one of the best groups of there time and they always will and thank you for keeping there music alive i had met judith durham once and it was when i was unconcious she called an ambulence
and i was out cold from a very bad seizure and she is really a great person and god bless you and i hope that you are around for a few more centuries to come god bless
One of Australia's VERY BEST world-class internationally-famous groups ever!! And this particular song is one of their very best of the best. It was written by their good U.K. friend Tom Springfield (Dusty's brother). The Seekers' 3 & 4 part harmonies were matchless (in their own way, as good as The 4 Freshmen & Brian's Beach Boys). And Judith Durham's solo voice was a gift from heaven - as sweet & pure as premium-grade Waterford Crytal. Thank you VinylNostalgia for a magnificent posting.
I agree with you, their harmonies are perfect and I could listen to Judith Durham sing forever and not get tired of it. I love her voice! Thank you for the comment.
