For starters, Kate Winslet just won the Oscar for BEST ACTRESS ... You predicted she would win the Oscar for Best SUPPORTING ACTRESS ... She wasn't even nominated in that category. You should pay better attention.

Best Picture: Slumdog Millionare

Best Actress: Meryl Streep Doubt

Best Actor: Mickey Rourke The Wrestler, or Sean Penn Milk

Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger (he doesn't deserve it but he'll definitely get it) The Dark Knight

Best Supporting Actress: Viola Davis Doubt

Can I ask why Heath does not deserve the Oscar? I mean he played the joker better than I could have imagined he would, he missed out BIG time with brokeback mountain, he deserved the oscar as much as any other winner did! In my opinon that is :)

Not bad predictions, but Slumdog Millionaire will win Best Picture and Danny Boyle will win best Director. Nothin on Van Zant or the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Great Films just in the end getting beat by and Amazing film. Slumdog Millionaire.

Agree on almost everything except best director for Fincher, best costumes is a category people don't usually predict for but I predict a nod for sex and the city, and I also predict a surprise nomination for dave patel in slumdog. slumdog is probably not gonna win for best film or director but I'm thinking of a screenplay oscar. And I'm up for Penn for best actor but Rourk wouldn't come out as such a shocker if he won.

What's so great about The Dark Knight? Its just a really good action movie, but I wouldn't even consider it Oscar worthy. I liked it fine, but thinking it deserves that much praise is ludicrous.

It wasn't the movie that one, it was the acting in it. Hence best supporting ACTOR, and not 'Best film'

If Slumdog Millionaire picks up a few Golden Globes and BAFTA's, then it will most likely win academy awards also...whether it wins best picture im not sure. I reckon Danny Boyle will get best director

I think The Dark Knight will win best makeup and i hope it will be nominated for best picture but I don't think it will win. I think the nominees will be:

according to film critics, slumdog millionaire is a sfe bet to win 1-2 oscars...not sure which categories tho.

I just really love Gus Van Sant as a director(has anyone seen the movie elephant..or 2:37 which I watched last night and isn't directed by him but is an amazing movie) and I think he deserves to win the oscar for another amazing movie, and I think Milk SHOULD win best picture, but I don't think it will. And I am glad to hear that we have similar opinions!

I don't think the Curious Case of Benjamin Button is going to win best picture, and I think if Kate Winslet is nominated it will be for lead in Revolutionary Road. But I'm deff for Meryl Streep and Sean Penn, I think you're right about them. and I'm sure Heath Ledger will be nominated, and he should win for sure, but I;m not sure if he will because, this sounds horrible, he's dead and they want to give it to someone who it will boost their career, you know?
