  • I wonder what America would be without ECT, lobotomy, psychiatric drugs, and mental hospitals?

Psychiatric drugs, ECT, and Lobotomy aren't the best solutions to cure any mental illness; medical marijuana is the best way to cure mental illness.

I despise ECT, as well as psychiatric drugs, and lobotomy. They look like they're used as torture devices in any oppresive, totalitarian, fascist dictatorship.

  • I'm not sure about this treatment it does seem very dark ages, but you hear so many reports about it doing wonders for people,so maybe people shouldn't judge. The psychiatrists are not evil they are not trying to hurt these people. So i guess everyone is an individual and if it works for them good on them, I guess we will see in another 20 years time the rest of the side effects.

  • YouTube. 23 hours dead

  • They should make it illegal

  • @gesseofbloodclan405 Why can you tell me that?

  • @gesseofbloodclan405 helped me

  • Please sign this ‘Abolish ECT’ e-petition and relegate it to history books like lobotomy. UK citizens or residents only

  • I guess this is the progression from psychiatric drugs to ECT. It seems to me that many people who have been involved with psychiatric system from their labeling through to their "treatments" believe this works. The unfortunate part of ECT is quote"we don't know it works but it seems to work". A very strange argument when many people exposed to this procedure are involuntary.

  • let's ECT all these doctors first.

  • i had a form of this therapy and it worked for me. It was amazing how quickly i felt better.

  • id think it would work it just paralyses brain activity.

  • Not sure if anyone can tell what it really means to change your identity when used in espionage.2:19

  • As far as aversion therapy, they also refer similarly to advert an incident in espionage. "We have an image problem"= this means you are seeing what we don't want you to see, "we burn your brain, destroying the memory". Happens to so many of us used in slave espionage!

  • @Nueroactive WHAT are you talking about? Who the heck are you?!?

  • As far as punishments, it is a fact! Especially in the spy trade. Considering how many people have access to the communication systems and can hack into defense systems and turn so called diagnostic x-ray satellites and weather satellites for forms of monitoring and weapons. Too many people in the so called intelligence community are crooks who get your tax dollars while gaining information from the minds of the tortured! ECT is more advanced as wireless.

  • i had that shit in the early 60,s it was mostly for punishments, i have no memory of my 20,s only part of my 30,s , permanent headaches.... still memory loses...besides the abuse in that damn place

  • @SuperSwa2011 God it's people like you that give Americans a bad name...seriously think beore you write. "I feel so bad for these people." idiot. now imagine unbelievably strong voltage and current damaging you for life, it's permanent, I read up on all the studies...go back to watching wheel of fortune...

  • it is my personal opinion, as someone who is, myself bi-polar, tha ETC is not a cure, but medically induced torture. This is an opinion based from a researching obsrvation. As for those of you who have undergone and suffered from it, my deepest condolences. I choose to take Effexor, and it works well for me (as Paxil had no effect and Wellbutrin only worsened it to a near successful suicide).

  • @doug5217 yes you got it! This is a sick lie that the industry and media convince us that it's safe, it's brain damage, it dumbs you down into a zombie state, I've had it myself, I'd rather have killed myself than live with the amnesia I have now...it's bullshit, you can get better by just working at your depression, nutriion, supplements, and there are new treatments, also damaging but not as bad.

  • I have had 23 ect treatments at Johns Hopkins hostpital and it was forced on me after a 6 month stay at the age of 15. I had had a head injury prior and was suffering unexplained neurological effects. ECt destroyed my memory and left me blunted. It also slowed down my thought process. People don't realize that it effects more than memory. They broke their hippocratic oath of Thou shalt not harm the patient and i recieved absolutley no benefit. So essentially I recieved damage forced on to me.

  • @SuperSwa2011 You seem like such a nice person. I wish you all the best! :)

  • @SuperSwa2011 Hey you don't need to apologise to that idiot. I would be surprised if his mental capacity was beyond that of a 5 year old.

  • I'm finding it disturbing that the doctors don't really know why it helps and what's happening in the brain, they're just doing it cause it seems to work?

  • @SuperSwa2011: You're an idiot i could careless what you say to me. Your comments are not effecting me so don't flatter yourself kiddio. lol

  • @Quetzalqoatl99 Hey fucktard what the hell is wrong with you? Did you get raped as a child or something?

  • @999liverpool999: You're an idiot, and your insult is so stupid. TRY HARDER BITCH! lol

  • @SuperSwa2011: Go fuck yourself.

  • I am 34 now, I had ECT when I was 18. It literally saved my life. After the 8th treatment, I never found myself ever again depressed. I now live a happy full life. It was the last resort. as no medicines had any effect on me.

  • @1977podog: Your full of shit and everyone knows it just by reading your pathetic comment.

  • @Quetzalqoatl99 podog seriously, if you even knew what I know I've networked with hundreds who have been destroyed by ECT, some deny the memory loss, but admit to it to the right people, the industry has brainwashed the masses to believe this is safe...2 + 2 equals 4 right? well high volts and current directly to the skull is about as simple as solving that equation, those who have been fooled know this now.

  • @1977podog hows your memroy? you probably were ok because you did not have that many, and your prior memory was good, this is usually why people who do do well say it was a good treatment....by the way the high does not last, hence maintenence ECT, the more you get the more destroyed the brain becomes...be thankful you stopped! I am glad you are doing well, and you think the treatment helped you. yes it can save a person from serious depression, usually the depression comes back

  • @dfowler351976 last crucial point, it doesn't bother you that the doctors do not warn of serious permanent memroy loss? there is no truthful informed consent, so although you may have lucked out, thousands, maybe millions were clearly not so lucky. read the studies, the truthful ones not the spun pro ECT ones...there is a serious lie cover up going on...the industry knows it, once a new therapy comes in, they will admit ECT was damaging, and they already do!

  • Its like a drug tgat makes You High...

& if they dont know exactly what it does or How it works, Why do it in the 1st place!

  • "The world is a dangerous place to live;

not because of the people who are evil, but

because of the people who won't do anything about it."

    - Albert Einstein

  • IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SAD DONT WACTH THE NEWS OR STICK YOUR DICK IN A TOSTER ONE OR THE OTHER YOU CALL. JACK ASS.

  • pharmaceuticals love everyone to believe their drugs work and make ECT look so wonderful; 1000's are dying; you never hear about that, why; website electricshocktherapy.info

  • @patbrodnik That site is a load of crap. The use of ECT treatment has been PROVEN to be effective in the treatment of depression. And they do it under anaesthesia these days so the patient does not feel anything and the only main SE is short term memory loss. Just because a few people have had bad experiences with it in the past does not make it an ineefective treatment. Just ask the THOUSAND's of people who are helped by it each year to overcome their suicidal thoughts.

  • @999liverpool999 bullshit, read the studies...PROVEN what proof? give me proof us who have studied ECT know its as damaging then and worse now to the brain...they FORCE shock on the elderly, I happen to know Pat his mother almost was forced ECT for no reason than it's a sick industry, he fought HARD to expose it to media in his country, finally they are letting her go, but the industry is so sick in places that the battle for him and his mother is not over.

  • @dfowler351976 also asshole idiot, thousands report serious brain damage, that the industry flat out denies...go ahead shock yourself silly...oh and by the way not only do they shock dementia patients now and the metnally retarded, (my former ECT doc admitted to me,) but he also admitted many patients lose decades of memory, amongst other cogntiive skills. It's people like you that just blindly listen to industry propoganda. do you watch the news?

  • People like Leonard Frank need to stop trying to ban ECT because many of us RELY on it to save our lives. I'm sorry he had it forced on him in the old barbaric way, but don't confuse your anger for having it forced on your against your will with the reality of things. You are taking your anger out from what happened to you on the ECT community and it is not fair to those of us who ECT helps!

  • @koochy79 Its not necessary to fry your brain. You could just use a magnetic or an electric field. These fields go right through the skull and have a similar effect of activating neurotransmiters. But without the high voltage destroying nerve cells.

These comparatively low level fields can even be produced with microwave or lasers. See the related information on my channel and homepage.

  • @koochy79 actually Leonard Roy Frank is well, correct, it is playing Russian Roulette with your brain...people assume people come out against something because they were hurt and are just making it bad for those who "do well," well ECT is brain damaging if you listened to Franks' ideas, in 100% of cases, the current is higher todya than in the past, so basiclaly they lie, the ECT doctors do not warn of permanent memroy loss or even partial...they now shock dementia patients and

  • @dfowler351976 and the mentally retarded, which my former ECT doctor at Mcleans hospital, the "gold standard" in this stupid country admitted to. He also admitted "he did not know if the shear current energy was higher than in the past, of course he did, we can't afford to be naive and listen blindly to an industry infamous for destroying lives, think lobotomy, insulin comas, and ECT was actually less damaging to the brain in the past. Yes it's safer to the body, wikipedia it.

  • @dfowler351976 for God's sake stop listening to ECT doctors, even they freely admit it is damaging, as in it kills nerve cells, causes gliosis, heats up the blood brain barrier, and we're ok with this? Do you know how many voluntary ECT survivors have told me, or I've read how damaged they are? Some can't read, some can't do simple math, some most forget years of life memories. It killed my brain. i'ts playing russian roulette with your most valuable organ

  • Depression is an awful illness. That constant feeling of despair is hard to cope with. People underestimate how awful it is until they have it

  • @bus140808 I had depretion for years and i had it non stop and har! Until i changed my diet. For the last 3 years ive been alive again.

  • @bus140808 it IS an awful illness, "closed head diffuse brain damage" from high 9 ampiers of current, 450 volts causes severe memroy loss, global cogntiive problems, and even has killed people, way under reported, yes recently. This is no conspiracy, it's fact. they lie about informed consent, they lie to us all, and then it's too late, suddenly you can't problem solve, or you forget names, or years of life, or can't write for shit...it's incredibly dangerous...

  • last comment for anyone considering ECT. Don't just blindly trust doctors saying it is "safe and highly effective." It's some serious covering up of studies showing the exact opposite, it leave most amnesic, or close to it. I have read so much up on ECT, including all the patient former stories that doctors ignore, there is no follow up testing, no scans to see if their brains are "well enough" it's akin to getting hit on the head with a baseball bat, only with high current.

  • @bus140808

i agree, people think its just a normal headache

  • @bus140808 I had depression but never got any care at clinics or hospitals. My friends and my grandmother are the real heros that put depression behind me and back on my feet. It took nearly a year for me to get over it. I give credit to God for surrounding me with family and friends.
