Hi Vaco, can you tell me what is the dart clip that you first brush on the mugs? Is it light blue glaze???Great job with the mugs. I will go along and check out your other videos. Thanks again.
Well, with the slip I get to physically manipulate the colour and texture at the same time, which I find very rewarding. I'm not too fond of painting on glazes, so when I hit on slip decorating I kind of fell in love with it.
I also use a variety of wooden tools and my fingers to flick the slip around on plates and bowls, the upright mugs don't lend themselves too well to that as gravity is working against it on a vertical surface.
Hi SignGuy.
The dark slip is not a glaze, just a wet clay with colourants added. I cover with a clear or orange glaze. Thanks for your intrest.

I like the idea of once-firing. The lovely slipperiness of the slip on the soft clay. Do you have any tips about matching slips and clay?
By the way, I thought you may have done the music..very well suited, tho' a bit of hi-res drum slipped in there! :)

Great demo. What kind of tool are you using to squirt the light-colored slip?

I am using a veterinary syringe, they are a nice size, I used to use the tiny ink cartridge syringes but they were way to small.

Hi, just wondering, what would the difference be between using colored slip with a clear glaze, vs. colored glazes?
Is there a functional difference, purely aesthetic, what goes into the decision process of one vs. the other? Thank you.
