If she wasn't wouldn't you think she would say so? In the Martin Bashir interview there is a clip of MJ and Karen together and Karen has her hands all over him, she's laying her head on his shoulder and caressing his hand. It's so obvious that she's in love with him! when you look at all the video of her with him (and not while she's working on his makeup) she can't keep her hands or lips off him.
