  • wow i never knew you could work for Sony if your only qualification is you can read!

  • oh he probably has no idea what hes talking about

  • hahah, i wonder how much this guy actually knows?

he isn't selling me on it, after that acting job.

  • is sonic foundary still developing thier catalog? its like the sony has dumped the whole lot (vegas, sound forge, Acid). Very cool, legindaty packages, but their lack of development is pushing them far behind. they need to put acid, SF and vegas into a media suite. And fast.

  • Hey guys, could someone tell me how to change the bass, mids and the treble or the tempo in in a single (individual) song/track in the timeline in sony acid pro 7? I'm kinda new to sony acid so I could really use some help.

  • You need to use the beatmapper wizard for the tempo. Do a search, there are tutorials up on youtube specifically covering this topic.

For the bass mid and treble of an individual track, look to the left of the timeline where your track is displayed (the same area you can mute or solo and individual track) and scroll your mouse over the little symbols. One of them (green one, in middle) will say track FX.

Click this, and there is your EQ. Hopes this helps mate, happy tipping ;)

  • Thanks man... :)

  • hey no worries, I'm new to acid too, just finished my first track, no loops, all my own patterns and sounds, click my name to check it out and tell me what you think!

  • I've been using acid pro since 2.0 and i hate what sony has done to this program! i use to use it to mix music, now the stretch feature doesn't work at all and when you change the tempo the wave file doesn't match what's being played. sony completely screwed up the looping feature every time they release a new version it's worst that the last! i'm now looking for a new mixing program that gives me complete control like sounic foundry use to!

  • I used to use Acid Pro....Until...two words: Ableton Live

  • I've been using acid for a while, it rocks...but 7.0 is very slow compared to 6. I also use protools....Acid works great as a "scetch" tool, but for real studio work nothing can beat protool

  • For a long time Ive been a huge Cakewalk user, Sonar requires so much configuration just to get things working, compatibility with drivers is awful. This thing runs as soon as you install it, im happy with it :)

  • I've always liked Sony/Sonic Foundry software. I've found it to be incredibly stable (which is no small task in a Winblows environment), simple to use, and cheaper than the other overpriced, overly complicated offerings out there. However, Sony sometimes has a tendency to lag behind other players. I've been running ACID Pro 7 for the past few days, and it's a huge (and overdue) upgrade from the previous version.

  • Yeehaw! Just got mine today! Can't wait to put Acid Pro 7 thru the paces. I loved 6, let's see what 7 can do.

  • acid is cumbersome? thats just cuz you cant figure it out. besides who are you, no body important i prosume. Acid pro is the baby of pro tools no dout. and to me seems to be just fine when it come to digital audio, i choose acid over alot of other softwares...

  • @two45cals Acid Style(before Pro) was the first music creation software as a child that I could easily comprehend and use. It's also one of the greatest work stations I've ever used compared to anything else.

I'm still using Acid Pro 4 and it's still helping me create great breakbeats <3

  • Please tell me Acid Pro 7 can finally route audio to other channels for sidechaining...if not than Sony truly is way behind with their head up their asses.

  • i'm feeling naughty at the moment V

  • It looks like crap..em...I mean.. it looks cumbersome.. Let's just be honest, people.

It's got NOTHING on Pro Tools (even LE...eww) or Logic. Hell..even MOTU's DP.

The included tutorials are cool.. But.. if it can't export audio & video as a single quicktime file...then it's useless (note to Apple: when will you include this in LOGIC?!?).

Oh, and thanks to Rick for reading the stuff off the screen for me. I couldn't have done that with the powerpoint or flash file.

  • Ummm...you think Acid Pro is cumbersome compared to Pro Tools?? Wow that's an amusing statement.

  • Yes "the lord is my shepherd I see what I want" Sony Acid Pro 7 Finaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllly, sorry Cakewalk....

  • wow 7 already
