This song is so profoundly moving to me.... the first time I heard it I wanted the whole world to hear it right away! Thank you so much George! You are a true human being!
Yes... sadly the 21st Century defined. Yet don't forget 'FAITH' (yep you've gotta have it ) because the father always loves the prodigal son. Great video... Great song.
I'd say this is the best song of his. So emotionally full, very deep and touching, and the video is just perfect for it. Let the words explain the meaning of it all. Just beautiful.
It is not too late. It is never too late. Don't wait for change. Be the change. It is in our power. It's our own world we paint. Be grateful, love yourself, love another, We are united in our differences. Do what you love and do it OFTEN. Smile to strangers on the street. Try to keep an open mind, heart and soul for new things, changes. Don't worry about the past or the future. It is all about now. Create, alone or together with other people. This is what being human is about. Peace.
@JordiSmulders xD You said it perfectly. Let the light of our hearts, minds, and spirits project far from ourselves and strengthen others to do the same. We shall, on the canvas that is the Universe, paint our destiny of love, peace, and prosperity.
@JordiSmulders that was amazing , u just made a great difference in my life, i'm 14-15 and i've been confused for 6 years now, because of my past ,i was never normal, i always prentend to be happy so i won't upset my friends and family, tbh i pretend so much i loss myself. i don't even know who i am...... and i now i'm worry about my future ..... so thanks!!! :D
What u just said made a great difference in my life, i'm very thankful <33
Amazing and really stunning song from legendary George Michael. I miss the 80's and early 90's - best era in music industry (George, Madonna, Bryan Adams, Whitney Houston, Belinda Carlisle, Tina Turner, Sandra, Cher, Michael & Janet Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, A-HA, Paula Abdul, Laura Branigan, Depeche Mode, Enigma, Sade and many others). What a good times & memories!
'Praying For Time' is one of my favorites from George Michael
Such a beautiful song. One of only a handful of songs i cant sing. It fills me with so much sorrow and guilt. The words in the chorus are both haunting and poignant. Too much.
You made a brilliant job, fantastic homage to the original video. Actually in my opinion the clip for "Praying For Time" is possibly one of the best videos ever made - I remember when it first came out, i was maybe 11 or so, I didn't speak much English, but seeing the clip on MTV UK I could feel all the sorrow and pain coming out of this song with my whole body, I just knew exactly what this song was about. Very, very universal and powerful.
THE BEST song from THE BEST George Michael's album. I believe we should all listen to this piece every morning just to get right mindset for the whole day. And to remember what is life about... Thanks for posting!
It's deep deep DEEP. The world should be thankful of people like George Michael instead of trashing him for what? Other celebrities do worse things. Anyway this song should be played wherever and whenever possible.
I love the song since early 90 and I remember I ran to the store to get a cassette of this song.now I finally found the song again.was searching for it a long time.thank you.the video is fabulous, too.
One of George Michael best songs, hard to believe that a song like this reached the top 5 and talked about an important social issue, it reminded me of ToTo's "Africa" , i hope more artists follow George Michael's and use their position in the media to help others
rolybling, thank you very much for making this homage. Someone has posted the original, but the sound quality is sub-par, whereas your video has wonderful sound.
I remember getting this album when it came out and when I saw the video, it was something I always wanted to see: a video that didn't show anything. Sometimes a video can ruin a song - and perhaps George Michael felt that way too (of course, the song Freedom from the album itself was a stab at MTV itself).
No Problem. I can feel that George is an outspoken human rights advocate and it shows in this song. Very poetic for recent history; no matter what anyone says, he is a rare and amazing talent that God has blessed us with.
Sometimes, when you know you don't feel good inside, a song like this is theraputic in letting out that pent-up pain so you can move forward. When I sang this one time today, I felt such a release from my own pain, but I felt better.
Oh yes! This is an underappreciated gem by George Michael, 'cause for me, it is in the middle of despair that hope emerges like a phoenix. Thanks for the lyrics!

Y es difícil amar, cuando hay tanto por odiar
Aferrados a la esperanza
Cuando no hay esperanza de la cual hablar
Y los cielos heridos arriba dicen que es demasiado tarde
Quizá deberíamos estar rezando por más tiempo.
