do you lose marks for not doing your belt in time?

No but there is an expectation for the children to be able to tie their belt within one minute as part of their grading.

well done clarke and all your family, me and my 7 year old have just taken up karate, i am 35, we are due to grade next month, am very nervous about it!, but kids who have the courage to try it are an inspiration, bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
