One of the 2 worst things Taylor Mays ever did stay at USC for his senior year instead of entering the NFL draft that year which costed him being a first round pick and millions the other worst move he did was listening to Pete Carrol
probably his worst move judging that he would have gone like 3rd in the draft or something definatly 1st defensive pickup but hey his still playing so i guess not all is bad for him.
pete is more of a hustler type guy he's not going to be an nfl type coach he's perfect for college programs...he screwed taylor he should have left he had a better combine/pro day as a junior and would have been 4 or 5 picks higher..im all for getting a bachelors but when you can be a 1st or 2nd rounder as a junior in college go to the league. You don't want to expose weaknesses and loose out on millions or get hurt.
this is very good player.... i wish to sit down with him and get some advice on playing the role of a safety.... I want to meet him since I play safety as well
i think all players should stick around and play all four years you will have alot time to play pro but you only get to go to collage once. but some times the money is to hard to pass on.
Its a tough decision. I respect either decision that they take. I think it has to do with what position you are as well. If you are a RB you probably would want to go pro after your junior year because the odds of getting hurt are a lot larger than say a QB or a DB. It is important to get an education though and the longer away from school you have been then the harder it is to come back and finish that last year you have left.
you should leave only if your draft status could get any higher like sam bradfrod last year i think made a big mistake he could of been the #1 pick but decided to come back i also didn't like Josh Freeman Choice of coming out he could of waited 1 more year and still could of been a top 5 pick
But you dont know whether or not you will have an off year or not and totally destroy even the low first round grade that Freeman had. I believe it was that Clemson QB last year that returned for his senior season and did horrible. He went from a 2nd to 3rd round grade to not even getting drafted if I remember correctly. Plus Freeman would have had to have been picked high enough to make up for this one year that he is making millions as well. Its a tough call to make.

Pete Carol wasn't the one to discuss his future with. He wants everyone to stay.
