Yes. It can be done in blender. Andrew Kramer from videocopilot(.)net has done a tutorial on a slowmotion bullet. He shows you how to do it in three programs: Cinema 4d, 3D Studio Max and last but not least, Blender :)

Why did you used green background for your render ???

An alpha channel is easier and you can also composite inside blender, no need for Magix. Quality rocks but 'how to' sucks a bit lol.

The reason for doing a green background and Re-editing in others software, the perfection comes when the software works for you and you are not trying to do everything in one software, when there is some others who does the job faster and keeping the quality you need blender gave me the 3D and Magix the video and the results is what you see. 1- There are 6 layers and 2 of those layers are the animations made in blender,

the transformer color in a green background and the same withouth color and background,

then there is the image from the street also divided in 2 layers, one full on the back

through a croma key and the second I crop the trees and the objects in front of the transformer

leaving a alpha channel transparent...
