so basically ive been stuck on this lvl for three days running around on foot when i could have just hopped into an armored vehicle? FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU­UUUUUUUUU- im an idiot.

I think there's a way to complete this mission so that you have some armor support by the time you get to defending Taranay. I was never able to do it, but was able to beat the mission by running like hell for the hills to the north. There's a whole field of blown out APCs there - except one. I repaired the one damaged one, and rode it back into town. My squad was decimated, of course, but I still got to blast the heck out of some PLA.

the tank is in the middle of the field behind the village you have to fix it first! 1st fix the tank on the north end i think! alot of people will be coming from their kill most of them and the jeep! then go to your current location the south and protect that in your tank have one guy use torrent then you should have no problem!

When you clear the village of AT teams na APC will pull up. Get in the gunner seat and stay where they parked it. Tell your squad to wait outside and keep an eye on the south and south west. There you can spot enemies over the hill to the south as well as the forest south west. and just gun them down from afar. don't worry about the other sectors, The computer has control of the marines in there.

I got up to the last bit on hardcore. You have to make sure the AAVs survive early in the mission. Almost as soon as the enemies start coming to capture the village rockets come out of nowhere and blow the hell out of me and the AAV

Just completed the mission. Started with putting 2 of my squad members on each of the machineguns. used the forth member and me self to command the "tank". Then I just drove around between machinegun 1 and 2. Still dunno how to cycle through the squad members fast though. =/
