i dislike this video because A) white people can be ignorant at times and take something that is custom to Native Americans and blow it out of proportion B) When an anthropologist or "white man" studies an Indigenous tribe, they're usually the one who go crazy and start a cult C) I think whatever teachings Carlos endured with Don Juan should've stayed between them two, but that didnt happen. As a result, after Carlos' death, five woman went missing. One was found dead. Others never been found.
mmmm about 25 years ago i read the old women of nagel or nagle and found this very interesting also the shape shifting concept //but i did eventually feel that carlos was dabbling in something dangerous.... i havent read him since.
in all seriousness, if you mess with this old way that has now been closed, you are asking for trouble. if you don't have a teacher, how do you think you will reach higher levels and not be killed and consumed?
Carlos received a letter I had written to a friend of his regarding the danger of using the word "sorcery" to describe the art that don juan taught him. As it used in the Bible, the Book of Revelations makes a point of stating, "Outside the gate (of the city of Heaven) are the dogs and the sorcerers"). There had to be a better word. Carlos then chose to use the word "shamanism" to describe these practices. Regardless, these practices were used to form a classic cult that, in the end, failed.
The best book is Journey to Ixtlan, and the rest aare just avergae, except for where Don Juan speaks. The rule of the nagual in the eagles gift is very important to know who we are. see also highestprecision blogs at myspace
@tsimentor - Carlos was probably not at a high enough level to protect them as his teacher did for him. he may have been egotistical and not wise enough to know when to pull away. either way, he was done in for, as you cannot walk away from this once you have committed. that IS unless you find a new way and a real teacher who can protect you. there are a few in Daoism and Buddhism and one real one in Daoism/Buddhism/Qigong all merged. it is Buddha Law.

I think this movie is really stupidly arranged, it seems to me like the author wanted to picture Castaneda as a dangerous freak, who was just playing with his counsciousness threw a hallucinogenic drugs. Nothing could be more far away from truth. It looks like all Castanedas critics have just red his first book.....
I read the books too and practiced the indications therein for better or worse. I still dont understand the man, alledged downfall and all. No one will ever understand Carlos based on what you can learn about him, from either pro or con point of view. Just dont judge him. Who are you to say what reality is or how it can be perceived. Its not concrete. Every religion, philosophy - its all just attempts to allude to whatever "this" is all about. Heart is the key. Does the path have heart?
All the great spiritual philosophies indicate that this is just a drama, the details dont matter. No single food will tempt the palate of all men, so how can any one path suit all seekers. Perhaps he was a liar, con man and scumbag - but he has given so many seekers a real connection with the universe as they perceive it. This reality has so many facets. The ones CC opened to the average man are extraordinarily complex, and they can shatter rigid worlds.

Carlos Castaneda is one of the most amazing film I have ever spend time with. see Carlos Castaneda on this site : qui-ckfre-emovi-e.-co-m ( Without the - - )
This is definitely? one of the coolest movies of 2010! And I've never even seen or heard of it until now! lol Action, romance, great plot ...what more could you want! ;) Get it online here: qui-ckfre-emovi-e.-co-m ( Without the - - )
We tend to focus on the bizarre reality changes. But really the sorcery is about 'survival in the best of all possible fashions' (quoting Don Juan)-- something we find hard to understand in our cozy loungerooms. This survival is the search to express what is vital and utterly precise. Thus the precision warrior survives in a fashion we would call a 'miracle' or other-worldly act. When we are confronted we fight back, the sorcerer does not; yet he survives.
The key to sorcery: 'The warrior seeks a precise act that if repeated often enough sets up unbending intent, then one thing leads to another and the warrior realizes his full [magical] potential.' -- Don Juan. They are Precision Warriors -- why cant anybody see that? The other aspect is that they are dreamers and stalkers.
His downfall was his failure to release the hold on the ego, the firm belief in the existense of the individual, seemingly separate, identifiable "I". And this is from one who read every single book many times, and all publically available notes, practiced the passes, lucid dreaming, as well as erasing personal history. I'm sure the ancient Taoists got further. And they, as well, didn't make it out, or "burn with the fire from within" either. But it's a good path for pulling your life together.
People who try to prove that Castaneda's experience is a hoax never read his books or, if they did, they totally missed the point: The power of Dreaming. I believe that he received teachings from Don Juan in a place that these hoax-hunters will never know or understand.
You cannot prove or disprove anything that does not exist within your perception.
don Juan sealed his lineage with a golden key when he led his party of warriors beyond, taking with them Eligio of Castaneda's party. It was doubtful if Carlos would make it himself...what he did do was to offer up his stories to all of us; a chance at a chance to have a chance of grasping our one cubic centimeter of energy. Whether Castaneda died of cancer or got hit by a bus doesn't matter.
Yes it does matter. He was taught by the best...right? And if he couldn't get it together, who the hell can?
You do not have to follow a cult leader and a fiction writer in order to learn about altered states of consciousness, out of body journeys. We're all born hard wired for it...we just aren't raised to know how to use it. But it's a part of our makeup we can indeed learn as adults. Read what credible authors have published, such as Robert A. Monroe, Bruce Moen, Dr. Moody.
I believed in Castaneda's stuff from the very beginning, until his 4th book came out--a huge departure from the initial 3--and the red flags were everywhere. Later it was obvious that he had never lived his teachings.
I practice the art of Phasing (mental or astral projection) and I can tell you, he was a master at storytelling, but a modern day shaman or warrior of integrity? Uh hell no.
Why didn't Castaneda die a warrior's death?! He died of liver cancer. Cult leader of the worst kind.
An individual (warrior) supposedly gains so much energy that their body doesn't die an ordinary death (death=stops functioning and decays like all other bodies)...it instead burns into awareness, like a magician disappearing behind his cape.
Instead of your physical body dying, you the warrior would burn your body into awareness...like a magician dramatically disappearing behind a sweep of his cape. Read Amy Wallace's book, The Sorcerer's Apprentice. She was one of his 'witches' for 20 years and has revealed Castaneda to be what he really was: good storyteller, cult leader, a fraud.
Carlos writes about Mexican Indian style and tradition of shamanism and Carlos is more like a reporter with his books. There's always been metaphysical practices all over the world, but Carlos just happens to tell us about the ancient Indians of Mexico and their way of the metaphysical. Carlos is more student than teacher and is just sharing his stories of his apprenticeship.
Correct. The filmmaker was in Carlos' inner circle and tried to show that Carlos wanted everyone to find their own way -- not turn him into a guru....
@IndicanPictures as much as i appreciate this film is leaves every one that views it right at the same conclusion,a skeptic.the thing is the point behind the names an faces(don juan, carlos, nagual, tonal)there is an ancient knowledge thats as old as awareness itself.im in mexico an although u wont run into the new seers you do run into lineages of the old seers.these are the ones that never resolved the issues with self importance.
The thing that troubles me: the extent to which Carlitos' behavior invalidates his teachings. I think this is the case only if he can be accused of hypocrisy. This is the danger that this great vid suggests - that he said one thing, and did something profoundly different. What does anyone think of the similar Alan Watts case?
the good thing about carlos' way is that it does NOT represent a religion or something to believe in. this is mostly a concept of the western religions. his way, along with buddhism or hunduism does not turn you into a blind follower (like christians, muslims or jews). it makes you a seeker and shows you ways how to seek the truth. the rest is entirely up to you.
there are blind followers in every tradition, whether political or religious, or scientific. you are right to point out that the three monotheistic traditions have the tendency to assume they have the market cornered on truth.
Carlos, as a great Artist, released this knowledge to the general public. As the books state: "there are NO volunteers for this path". This of course causes great confusion and disappointment for the common person, who no matter how they try...will never really understand or ever become sorcerers. And in their frustration, have to pretend the books are untrue.
Carlos did a great work, and despite characters or else, the wisdom is there for the one who wants to listen but for many is just a sci fi saga. But once you really practice many of these teachings, something new arise, thats energy. And what people as the worl needs, energy to perceive.
@xwaystranger wow, awesome comment, it takes a lot of energy to say something like that. and you are 100% right. most people will never have enough energy to become warriors. that's the current situation of our species, devastated by the foreign installation.
after reading the art of dreaming i practised and experienced some lucid dreams. it was more real than real. truly amazing, but so powerful in fact, that i stopped. what is the truth? you decide for yourself anyway surely. the ideas in his novels cross and repeat in many other philosophical books out there. push the envelope watch it bend. peace.
great comment rjmclive - i've long suspected that the books are psychoactive devices designed to induce highly concentrated states of consciousness. under these conditions, the question of his character might become less significant.
nagual is when you are high, and tonal is when you are awake... like don juan said, we need tonal, without tonal we are nothing, we have to protect our tonal.
so, we have to do this trip from nagual to tonal many times to understand so many things & change our perception of seeing things. i dont trust drugs,
only weed and other shit, but nothing that is damaging our brain, like i said, we have to protect our tonal.
Don Juan's teachings were about stalking and dreaming as the means to acquire the truth that he called 'knowledge'. The journey to truth is not routine and has no lust. Each of us has a huge question we want to ask the universe. When we find that question we begin the path because questions lead to more and more questions. Before my question, I loved skill totally. We must be precision warriors: lovers of skill and precision rather than might and power as our sole means of survival.
Thanks to Carlos the art of dreaming atleast once became possible to me.
Only recently did I realize there are people engaged in the research of lucid dreaming. Which is the same thing Weither ficticious or not his stories resonate with philsophies of the far east, that are intended for the development of self awarenss. The first enemy of a seeker is FEAR, and he has to overcome it, Don Juan teachs him So before we judge him or anyone else for that matter shouldn't we enquire within?
Carlos was a good writer, but it was all fiction, If you believe there was a real Don Juan etc, you are deluded, but what the hell, have fun with it...he's right up there with Uri Geller and there are still alot of people that believe in him too... hey , live the illusion if you can't really live....
YNOTIOO2...A WRITER is an ARTIST! Carlos originally studied sculpture and wanted first and foremost to be a Painter. The first jacket covers for his books may have been the work of Carlos under the name Giusti. The only paintings in his WestWood house were these original illustrations. Inorder to be a Tolteca Nagual one must be an Artist.
for all the faggots on these comments who cannot see the art of Castanedas work, go read peter pan or picasso ur ass, carlos was a great artist because to put together historical novels he did, it takes a brain and creativity to execute, and he did execute, the part about conning people, go fuck yourself, he writes books if you like it you read it if not u pick up something else and continue living and fuck you too!
In 1979 I 'stopped the world'. The crack between the worlds of work and sex is reality and is freedom. There are only two methods: stalking and dreaming. (The Eagles Gift.) Both are methods for finding the truth. Stalking is asking questions and seeking the answers. Dreaming is about being able to isolate the truth in a dream. In this world work and sex are both lies. To make either one of them truth is to become free. The sorcerer worships skill and precision in any action -- this sets free.
SilentKnowledge8, You may want to do some research. He was a fraud and he lied to all of his followers, ALL OF THEM and he had 2 wives at the same time. Maybe you should look up "tales from the jungle"
Common Knowledge. First of all I said ARTIST...Not Guru or Saint. Second, he was a master stalker and set up Amy Wallace to write a book all about SEX....the one thing regular people need to never make Tolteca into a frozen religion. Genius.
SlentKnowledge8, yes you said "artist" But I think CONartist is more accurate. I have not as yet seen any of his "art" Please let me know where i would be able to view his art.
Ynot have 2 wives, lol? CC wasn't a Jesus figure - his philosophy wasn't about being 'good'. There are lots of things that don't add up with CC, but there again, it was part of his philosophy to give that impression deliberately. And I do rather personally despise gossip, which, without 'attacking the critic' I do feel a lot of the criticism of CC does amount to gossip. There are enough factual things, without gossip, to have a go at.
I just finished Amy Wallace's book. It's gotten more bizarre & convoluted as I near the end. All I can conclude is that Castaneda was a brilliant (sci-fi)writer and Wallace is short a few cards out of a deck, perhaps partly due to her upbringing by a disturbed mother...I doubt
that any of us non-Cleargreen folks will ever know if this was a cult or not. I would never want to be part of a cult that would accept me(ha ha).
As beautiful as the books were, they are proven to be frauds. The spiritual beliefs contained in them do not match the rituals of the Yaqui indians of Mexico. Furthermore, it appears that the time lines are inconsistent, Carlos never produced field notes for his books, and could not provide any evidence that Don Juan Matus or Genaro ever existed. If you look him up on Wikipedia, you will see the history of the man and his legacy. Its sad, but I would rather know the truth than promote a lie.
Kurtis, there are many things you can criticise CC for, but make sure they are the right things! CC did say 'A Yaqui way of knowledge' but later explained that that was his mistake, as don Juan explained that 'Nagualism' was a vast, very old pan-indian phenomenon in that part of America - something which is backed up by numerous historical and modern sources. See Daniel Brinton's 'Nagualism' for example, which refers to many of the things CC talked about. Possibly CC plagiarised it, possibly...
I'm a skeptic. ..I don't belive aliens come to earth in ufo's and pile em up in the arizona desert .. I don't beleive the world will end some time soon this stuff is shit ..but ..Castaneda ? hell I have lucid dreams and I learn't my technique from this guy ..and really everything he said is kinda there and works .. everyone slags him off and yet no one looks at what he said.. and he said some good stuff ..who cares if it's a fiction.. if his I can verify his ideas through personal experience?
Amy Wallace couldn't ever become a sorcerer. Carlos set her up with his masterful stalking...as someone to Erase his personal history through sex stories. That way his teachings are looked down on by the common people...and could never become a frozen religion. Brilliant!!
The first time you awaken in a dream(perhaps by remembering to look at your hands), you will experience the clarity, the total sensation and immersion in the dream world..
following Carlo's tecniques you will pass the first 3 gates easily..
i saw my body sleeping, tried to move and could not..the bedroom was upside down..lol
i thot i was paralyzed..
finally i awoke in my body and slammed my arm across the bed
I had almost the SAME thing happen! I was practicing astral projection and I "got up" and saw myself in bed! Then I realized what was happening - I tried to walk but couldn't. Then I just stayed there in a state of shock then I felt like I knew everything there was to know and didn't have a body but just existed. I wasnt afraid of death and I was in a place that was neither light nor dark - it just WAS! upon going back in my body I felt like I was spinning down into it like water dwn a drain
All I know about Castenada comes from his books and a couple of interviews that I've read. My impression is that his books are not literally true, but that they are true in a deeper, "truer" sense. They have been a great positive influence on my life. Silencing the internal dialogue is crucial. Tripping alone in the desert can be a fantastic experience. The landscape buzzes and hums with energy. I've had telepathic contact with animal emissaries from the spirit world. Thank you, Carlos!
Uuh, hello? I suggest that if one trips in any place that is quiet and you will notice the landscape buzzing & humming with energy - no need to go it alone in the desert!
Well, I'm not dead yet! I know the desert, and I know myself and my limits. Of course, I need to stay humble; if I go out too far on a limb, I could wind up dying out there. But what better place to die? The risk is worth it, in my estimation. And, to paraphrase Don Juan, my death is an unsurpassed counselor. It puts everything in perspective to realize that what at first might seem to be a disaster is really next to nothing . . . my death hasn't touched me yet.
I know for a fact that some of his techniques works. For example the walking with the special way of using your eyes.. and the state of mind... Empty your thoughts.. Then stillness will find you from time to time.. and as some of us know.. sorcery derives from a quiet mind..
ha,ha,whiteman can not understand, you really dont want to know..you ll just go crazy..first find out who you are,the name of your BLOOD.THIS IS A PLANET EARTH THING.....
he lied about everything im a yaqui and i went to all place he talk about the books and nobody knew him i went to look for juan matus and he a drunk and lived potam
total libertad!!! you must supress your ego, the emotional disorders you carry around every day. the upper 3% of our conscience is where the "gods" live and we, at best, hang around the 20% point. all thats required is 50%. that way those whom desire to feed upon our ego dont have the buffet to choose from. total LIBERTAD
I am thankful to Carlos for writing of the wisdom of Don Juan, Genero, and the nagual Julian. They have given me insight of how awesome and scary the universe is....and i am part of it! I know this sounds vain and reeks of self-importance...but i want to dart pass the eagle to be free...it's always a struggle but the only thing worth living...
it always brings back great memories of my first encounters with castanedas books...and yes my friend the struggle for freedom is the only real issue here
I read "Journey" twice..and paid more attention to my surroundings afterward.Read the books, dismissed them over time, then re-considered.I've only seen one t-shirt with the logo..he was passing me as I made my way toward a noon surf session(10 yrs ago)The coyotes are ever-present where I travel (Malibu to the lower Sierras)..every year or so I pass them by-we always exchange glances.Just a month ago,a huge Cooper's hawk landed on my patio chair(3 feet from my window)I got the glance.Life is good.
I found Tales of Power in my highschool libray.....I immediately felt its magic.............Carlos Castaneda was indeed going after something that no one else has dared to try to explain.....He had some fucking balls.......
you all should read carlos castaneda's book's, starting with, las enseñansas de don juan (don juan teachings), una realidad aparte (one apart realaty). I spend time in la sierra, with the yaki shamans, and know, i am totaly changed. My percepcion changed, forever.Ive seen god!
youtube member SNARLTIGGS likes to collect videos of little teen and preteen girls in violent fights. This sado/pedophile then has the balls to try and label Castaneda as a monster. You are one sick twisted pervert who should be in prison
Dude was fake. He encouraged his girl-slaves to kill themselves when he died. Many went missing right after his death, and some of their bodies have been found in the desert.
You are the fake...repeating bullshit you heard from people who you do not even know. One woman was found in death valley. I think she was murdered by people like you.
would any1 contest that a man on the path of knowledge would consider it a waste of energy to validate the ego and syntax on a chat board on you tube?
would any1 contest that a man on the path of knowledge would consider it a waste of energy to validate the ego and syntax on a chat board on you tube?
they are partly rooted in past-limited tradition!it means that those claivoryant indian in past werent seeking peace but doing study!hence enermous pratices that are all partial not full.that tradition lastly find that something is missed and thing that is missed was peace!so after seeing this they added peace training and the result is mixture of peace training-inward silence and past-remained limited exercises!so in don juan matus are now both-peace and knowladge of the past exercises!
but anyway the past knowladge never let him to be fully free.those knowladge and exercises are just taking away your attention so you never enjoy life fully but only as secondhand thing!and so called freedom after death was just an escape from this world!so all this tradition is but runniong away from life!if there even peace then this peace are empty of life inside!so those warriors were slaves of their past remained knowladge!they never could drop it!never!and so there is no hope to them.
Anyone interested in Advaita or non-duality should read Castaneda from this p.o.v. and will easily see that the teachings are totally dulaistic and as with all cults all about "the leader" "ego" and personality and the poor followers are always lesser individuals. Somehow infinity is mentioned but is always owned. Another way to tell is to notice the amount of scorn and ridicule dolled out to the non-believers. The books are a great read though.
im an spanish actor, and i was ask to represent castaneda for a short documentary about his life.
this has been the hardest representation in my Acting carrer but i believe that it has been the best one i ever done.
he was full of mistery, that was somenthing that make mi job harder. the documentary comes out on feb 10 2008 at channel cuatro in spain at 11:30 pm local time. i´ll try to post it here after it comes out
yea, right you are so clever mr guru.. but according to the classic ocult traditions like yoga and tibetan budhism, what you are saying is on the level of the sex chakra. Thats only the seccond of the 7 levels, and not realy a spiritual way. You talk like that because u dont have a system, and dont know any better !
the sad fact is that its not about Carlos Castenda! His message like any other belief form is ..its not about the person its about the content! Carlos had a message but he was not the message! Jesus had a message, Muhammad had a message, Buddha had a message but it's not about them its about YOU! You take the message and give it a meaning as it evolves for you!

When we are confronted we fight back, the sorcerer does not; yet he survives.
inertialcapacity 1 year ago

Whether Castaneda died of cancer or got hit by a bus doesn't matter.
atomicdogification 1 year ago
Yes it does matter. He was taught by the best...right? And if he couldn't get it together, who the hell can?
You do not have to follow a cult leader and a fiction writer in order to learn about altered states of consciousness, out of body journeys. We're all born hard wired for it...we just aren't raised to know how to use it. But it's a part of our makeup we can indeed learn as adults. Read what credible authors have published, such as Robert A. Monroe, Bruce Moen, Dr. Moody.

Like Pablo Picasso & David Lynch, Carlos Castaneda was a total fraud
His screwy nonsense meant nothing at all
When Franco Fellini went to Carlos for collaboration, Carlos ran off and hid rather than to be uncovered for the fraud he was!

Boris82much 1 year ago 3
what is a warrio's death then?
LookingGlassProject 1 year ago
An individual (warrior) supposedly gains so much energy that their body doesn't die an ordinary death (death=stops functioning and decays like all other bodies)...it instead burns into awareness, like a magician disappearing behind his cape.
Boris82much 1 year ago
Instead of your physical body dying, you the warrior would burn your body into awareness...like a magician dramatically disappearing behind a sweep of his cape. Read Amy Wallace's book, The Sorcerer's Apprentice. She was one of his 'witches' for 20 years and has revealed Castaneda to be what he really was: good storyteller, cult leader, a fraud.
Boris82much 1 year ago
Carlos writes about Mexican Indian style and tradition of shamanism and Carlos is more like a reporter with his books. There's always been metaphysical practices all over the world, but Carlos just happens to tell us about the ancient Indians of Mexico and their way of the metaphysical. Carlos is more student than teacher and is just sharing his stories of his apprenticeship.
WeaselHalfbreed 2 years ago 5

What does anyone think of the similar Alan Watts case?
profjdurham 2 years ago
the good thing about carlos' way is that it does NOT represent a religion or something to believe in. this is mostly a concept of the western religions. his way, along with buddhism or hunduism does not turn you into a blind follower (like christians, muslims or jews). it makes you a seeker and shows you ways how to seek the truth. the rest is entirely up to you.
niox20 2 years ago
there are blind followers in every tradition, whether political or religious, or scientific. you are right to point out that the three monotheistic traditions have the tendency to assume they have the market cornered on truth.

And what people as the worl needs, energy to perceive.

so, we have to do this trip from nagual to tonal many times to understand so many things & change our perception of seeing things. i dont trust drugs,
only weed and other shit, but nothing that is damaging our brain, like i said, we have to protect our tonal.

We must be precision warriors: lovers of skill and precision rather than might and power as our sole means of survival.
inertialcapacity 2 years ago
Thanks to Carlos the art of dreaming atleast once became possible to me.
Only recently did I realize there are people engaged in the research of lucid dreaming. Which is the same thing Weither ficticious or not his stories resonate with philsophies of the far east, that are intended for the development of self awarenss. The first enemy of a seeker is FEAR, and he has to overcome it, Don Juan teachs him So before we judge him or anyone else for that matter shouldn't we enquire within?
ThePodarek 2 years ago

I would never want to be part of a cult that would accept me(ha ha).
brainsparkles 2 years ago
As beautiful as the books were, they are proven to be frauds. The spiritual beliefs contained in them do not match the rituals of the Yaqui indians of Mexico. Furthermore, it appears that the time lines are inconsistent, Carlos never produced field notes for his books, and could not provide any evidence that Don Juan Matus or Genaro ever existed. If you look him up on Wikipedia, you will see the history of the man and his legacy. Its sad, but I would rather know the truth than promote a lie.
KurtisERIK 2 years ago 2
If you tried applying the way of life explained in the books, then you would find that whether or not Don Jaun was "real" is inconsequential.
odetoinsolence 2 years ago
True---but you miss the greater point: that "what is THE truth" isn't relevant...what one EXPERIENCES IS!
It was the same with the Gnostics (early followers of Christ that the "Christians" murdered)--ONLY DIRECT EXPERIENCE IS TRUTH.
Castaneda's books, "factual" are not, carry great understanding.....!!
eldiran2 2 years ago 3
Kurtis, there are many things you can criticise CC for, but make sure they are the right things! CC did say 'A Yaqui way of knowledge' but later explained that that was his mistake, as don Juan explained that 'Nagualism' was a vast, very old pan-indian phenomenon in that part of America - something which is backed up by numerous historical and modern sources. See Daniel Brinton's 'Nagualism' for example, which refers to many of the things CC talked about. Possibly CC plagiarised it, possibly...

It puts everything in perspective to realize that what at first might seem to be a disaster is really next to nothing . . . my death hasn't touched me yet.

they are partly rooted in past-limited tradition!it means that those claivoryant indian in past werent seeking peace but doing study!hence enermous pratices that are all partial not full.that tradition lastly find that something is missed and thing that is missed was peace!so after seeing this they added peace training and the result is mixture of peace training-inward silence and past-remained limited exercises!so in don juan matus are now both-peace and knowladge of the past exercises!

Trying to act as if you have to perfect your soul in this life is both arrogant and vain.
Self conceitedness doesn't appeal to my, or anyone elses emotional vanity.
Relax and exercise your continuity of infinate imagination or seal yourself in with expressions of doomed righteousness disuised as wisdom ...

yea, right you are so clever mr guru.. but according to the classic ocult traditions like yoga and tibetan budhism, what you are saying is on the level of the sex chakra.
