I love the sound of that V8 but whats with that awful high pitched whining sound? Is it a supercharger? sorry for my ignorance

The whine is from the transmission. Combination of both gearbox and differential, the latter being the most audiable.

I'm just curious to know how the new 638 HP/604 LBFT (ZR1) would do against this Vette in a drag race? So far, the new ZR1's best magazine numbers are... 0-60=3.3, 0-100=6.9, 1/4 Mile=11.2 @130.5, Top Speed=205 mph, skid Pad=1.10G (AVG), 60-0= 97 FT. *Also, does anyone know what this Vette's time is on the nurburgring? Thanks & Great video!

This Vette is a racing car and therefore not tuned for drag racing. The ZR1 may be the winner in a drag race, but round the ring (or any other race track) the racing vette would beat the shit off the ZR1.
