This concert was October 19, 1991. I was at the concerts on October 17, 18, & 19, 1991. The Expo started on 4/12/92, but the concerts were before the Expo started. It was an incredible time. I remember that date because my wife and I started dating that night.
This was an awesome night...so many great guitarists on one stage together! Brian May is great and I had the opportunity to meet Steve Vai in our hotel bar in Seville late one night...he is such a nice person!!

i agree with sioux333... some people here dont even know who is Brian May .. Brian and Queen ruled the world before them in 70's and 80's .... Satch himself gave him a guitar of his as a present in this concert he was standin next to one of those who had built the infrastructure of the rock house
youre saying crap..just because he likes to play differently it doesnt mean he doesnt know how to play..brian may is a genius guitarist and songwriter and if you had heard some of the riffs he devised in queen you would already know that. after all, he was playing in . the greatest rock band, in front of 120000 and 180000 people. you don't know a shit about what you're talking. joe and steve are one generation after him he is their guitar hero and the one who inspired them and many others.
Don´t forget that Brian says "Welcome to the genius, the master of the space age guitar Mr. Steve Vai". I saw Brian live last year 11-27-2008, it was the best day of my life!!! He´s not a full skilled guitar player, but his feelin´ is amazin´ and I adore his solos!!! It´s not about beat anyone. it´s a foolish to do this comparations...
Brian it´s an amazin´ guitar player, one of my favourites, but he never made his tech be higher than his feeling and that´s the greatest thing about him and that´s why I adore his solos and all the fills he puts in the songs. That makes him diferent.
And you gotta admit Vai and Satch are more technical playin´ than him, and, hey, there´s no problem about that.
I like his solos cos´ they´re all feeling, and that makes me like it.
Fact is, no one can say Brian´s so skilled as Vai or Satch, cos´ that´s their way of playin´ n´ that´s what they´re. Hv U ever seen Brian playin´ a triple neck guitar? Or spinin´ it around his body with a ribbon blindin´ his eyes?
Brian May is unique and inimitable! At this show he showed( ;) ) that although Vai and Satriani are the next generation of players they can't really beat him.

the guitar and music isnt about how is more faster or who is more technical, is about the message that you wanna leave to the pleople.
personally i like satch but brian may is a good guitarrist too.
ask your fathers about queen and brian may, they probably know more about his music that you.
