@randumbuller break ins are usually done within 300 miles, thats plenty of time for the rings to seal up. Some ppl take that whole break in period to serious. My buddy pulled out of the dealership sideways back in 2001 with his brand new mustang GT with 250 miles on it, same stock motor today, with 130k miles on it with a 14 psi procharger laying 400 to the wheels. Guess he shoulda broke it in huh?

I do build motors, its what I do for a living, ASE tech just need electrical and heating/cooling tests done for master tech but i admittedly have a long while before I get the electrical side down. Anyway after 300 miles the motors of today have plenty of time for the rings and everything to seat and seal properly. And if you think 14 psi on a 2v 4.6 is gonna do much more than 400 with bolt ons you're crazy, at most he'd be able to knock on the 420 door.

Either way it doesn't matter, fact is, as long as you give the rings time to seat nothing else really matters, any other issues that are to occur are from a bad install, not a break in period. Besides that, cars that are built for performance, are sure to break something long before a break in issue comes about lol.
