Everything speaks for a calendar disc; because if you count its figures, according to my discovery of an abbreviated system, you reach the day number of a year of twelwe months.
The Phaistos disc was not adapted for games; alone its seize is inapplicable as such.
And I wasnt done with my reaction. It allmost looks like a old board game. Its probably not but to me its weird to understand that most of these things that are found never ever looked like this one. Strange figures and so on. I think most of the signs werent available yet in the time this item would supposed to originate from. I think that its or a hoax or people werent realy far into technology yet at thhe place this item was found. But that still doesnt explain the rest of the world wonders.
Like pocket-chess? No, it is too uncomfortable to move around pawns on its surface without magnetism. In that case they would had made a much larger pancake.
@mphet26 Your curiosity is understandable, but remember that our reading of the 'written word', neither depends on our notions of the origin of the patterns making up the letters; or the numerical figures for that case.

The gauntlet figure looks like a glove but it also looks a bit like a Tunic to me. Like it has a belt around from shoulder to side.
