Hint...Hint....Your getting very close utilizing the PWM (one that you can adjust the pulse width frequency ONLY) over any form of direct current/cell design I have ever seen. If you want to take it further than a mere supplement to a gasoline engine, your going to need more. Much more. If you really want to destroy h2o and create enough hydrogen to run said vehicle, run your PWM output into a capacitor bank (wired in parallel) and increase the spacing between the anode and cathode plates.
I have been looking everywhere for a PWM like you discribe in the video. I can not find one and every electronic tech looks at me funny and has no idea what I am talking about. The problem is neither do I. Where do I find one? How much will I spend? Also EFIE, where do I get one and how much? Please email me resneckjoe (at) yahoo (dot) com. Thank you
How do you tackle the spark timing? You know, the issue about hho igniting too quickly, before the piston's TDC point unless a delay is input accordingly.
Funny that with all the major Universities that are now doing their own studies on HHO production, and the fact that the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is offering tax cuts for putting in the conversion, that people still think this is a scam. I mean really? Tesla and Brown, two major PHDs put a portion of their lives into this research. Wake up and smell the fuel savings people. Anyway, thank you for the video, it helped me to setup my own system. Only thing I changed was that I used a VOLO chip instead.
I have plans that I purchased online for an HHO generator. You've inspired me to give it a go. Wiring and electrical issues have always intimidated me. Your explanation makes it very clear. Thank you for a simplified view of wiring for my HHO generator (once I build it). I am starting simple and improving as I learn.
Check out the AFR controller which combines EFIE and other sensors. Also recommend a constant current PWM so you don't have the problem of thermal runaway.
Nice instructional video with diagrams. That should help a lot of people understand it for sure. We do the same with our kits and recommend the efie run through the relay as well so it is only on when hho generator is running. Also, some people like the idea of tying relay to the wire of the oil pressure sending unit to make sure it only operates when engine is actually running. Good job!
good day sir! it is possible to send me a schematic of your PWM and EFIE enhancer and pcb drawing board? if you have one? co'z im trying to do it for may car. thank you... it will help me a lot..
you seem very knowledgeable on the o2 sensors on cars. can you please please help me to build the proper o2 enhaancer for the 2 lower o2 sensors on my 94 ford explorers v6 4.0l motor??? step by step would be awesome on how to build the enhancer and how to install it. the color of wires that connect to it and exactly what i need to build the enhancer. dont worry about being blamed for any damage to my engine, i have a backup car. How are you telling the car ECU to inject less petrol or diesel in relation to the amount of hydrogen being injected? Unless you do this, the car uses the same amount of fuel, so NO SAVING. With a huge load on the alternator it means the engine has to work harder, so more fuel is used which again means NO SAVING. I wish people would learn how engines work and stop allowing people to con them with this stupid system that doesn't work. Are you all gullible, do you also fall for Nigerian scams?
I think you are another gullible person that has been scammed. How does your kit tell the ECU in the car to inject less fuel in proportion to the amount of gas being injected? Unless the ECU knows about the gas and to inject less petrol/diesel, it will continue to inject the same amount. So *NO SAVING*. I'm not sure why people overlook this very important fact. Where is the gas sensor, ECU modifications and remap file to include gas sensing and proportional fueling?

Also, where are putting your HHO introduction to the engine? Intake manifold or farther up the intake? Again, I appreciate your video!
One other thing, I presume you don’t need an {efie} if you have a diesel engine, “ I am just curious” ?!! my own car is petrol though, a merc 190, never thought about that before ?
Also, A good PWM will shut down if the output gets shorted. What actually happens is the pulse width goes into a "spike" mode which the pulse width is extremely short thus eliminating the high current draw on the switching transistors. The circuit should have a protection section and if it doesn't, you are wasting your time and money on such. Whoever makes the units should offer you a range oif output voltages. Depending on the topology, it should just be a coil or transformer change.
Interesting... Remember that the higher the voltage, the lower the current. A good PWM will produce a wide range of voltages. If you use a contactor relay, you can avoid high current switches and use the car's ignition switch without damage. I would try to get a PWM that would produce 200-400 Volts on the output. Your current would go down drastically but the risk of electrical shock goes up if you handle the electrodes on the cell.
There is absolute no difference between an AC or DC switch. Its just a switch. It can be used with either, the important bit is the number of 'poles' and the 'throws"and the current rating per contact.. ie you can use a 'dpdt' (double pole double throw) to switch a pair of contacts to another pair of pair contacts whilst switching to another position.

Excellent presentation. The only thing that you should do is take the schematic 1 step further & define which terminal # on the relay goes to what (ie: relay terminal 30 goes to battery, terminal 87 goes to PWM etc
When the SL50 is hooked up and making gas, why didn't my exhaust O2 sensor resigister that the mix was too lean, and back down my injectors? ( I have a '98 Honda Odyessey)
one line goes to the computer? oh yeah right which of the twenty lines into teh computer does it go too? INCOMPLETE instructions. AS USUAL. he also doesnt say why the pwm is necessary. or what it actually does. So far no one but the garage boys give exact details and have thought it thru. go figure!
If you have a narrow band O2 sensor (4 wire snsor) then you just split the white wire and put the efie in line. ie. the white from the O2 sensor into the efie and then the efie output to the white wire. It was on the Smack site. Can also buy from another site but can't remember where. Just google the thing... easy.
That really depends on what casing would use. You can also limit current flow to limit over heating. Best bet would be so have some form of intercooling system. HMMM???? tied into car radiator? Encapsulate Cell within cooling chamber.
very very good.but ,please dont speak so quickly and do not put music while you talking.some people wordwide like me don´t undertend what you are talking easily.but thank you anyway.
Awsome system......better than my wiring diagrams i have on AutoCAD where do you get your supplies and what type of container did you use for you cell..........Mason jars are the only thing I can think off........got any other ideas
Great diagram and excellent description. (You might want to add the amp meter shunt to the diagram and description.) Thank you for your contribution to HHO education. Greg in Carrollton, GA
Use 10 ga wire if you plan to operate your cell at 30 amps. Also the longer length of the wire will create more resistance and heat which could be a fire hazard. I recommend a constant current PWM instead of the motor control PWM you have.
Nice job. As the owner of an electronics company that invents/improves HHO products, I always stress to my customers this EXACT method of connecting the hydrogen generator to a vehicle. It is VITAL that you connect your switch (that controls the relay) to a "switched" 12 volt circuit. This switch MUST only be active when the engine is running. Otherwise you run the risk of explosion and possible suffocation. Great information on this video!
Hi Steve great stuff mate keep it up, you can get a resettable 20 or 30 amp fuse that will reset themselves, most auto shops should have them - autocheap in AUS has them so you guys should find them over in USA.
Very cool well done and to the point I am starting a project with my son on this subject and your vidio was very helpful. We still have more research to do but you cleared up a lot of questions we had in language we can understand. Mel
thank you very much for the explanation I'm from the Dominican Republic and wanted an explanation to better understand the system take care thank you very much and God bless you
Thanks for the compliment, but I am just trying stuff and finding what works. As for new vids, just go to my profile page and look at the more recent vids.
Hi Steve, Nice video, however I think you might want to put a fan on that control box that's housing the PWM. They get hot and can burn out. EFIE on the O2 circuit is probably not a good way to go with OBDII. My research is leading me to believe that EFIE is best used to modify the MAP and/or the MAF signals. Modifying the O2 signal voltage could allow the fuel system to lean out so much that the cat will burn up.
Keeping im mind Gas is still the primary fuel we burn and it must burn properly.
The links you gave for those efie units are way too expensive.. My units are $50 each, the ones your promoting are over 80 bucks each and one is over 100 bucks!.. Wtf??
Stop talking trash & listen real good cause I am only going to say this once... I've never owned an efie or have I promoted any product (except JB Weld & Marine Epoxy).
If u read the description box it says "here are some links that have some good INFO about EFIE and PWM stuff". In the vid I state they have good INFO & articles; never said to purchase anything or that I endorse them.
So before u start swearing more u better reconsider; ur so close to getting banned, its not even funny.
I can get the same pwm for $25 (lower price if I buy bulk), then slap on a $4 cooling fan and call it good, however thats not the problem. those pwms are not rated for 30 amps continuous use - probably only 75% of that, so no thank you.
personally I am looking for a heavy duty pwm, something in the range of 80 amps max and about 60-65 amps continuous.
Read my comment very slowly & very carefully because I said...
"Personally I am looking for a heavy duty pwm, something in the range of 80 amps max and about 60-65 amps continuous."
"LOOKING FOR..." not 'MAKING'.
No where did I say I was going to MAKE anything; & it still doesnt make ur over priced pwms any better; and until you do some comparison testing, all your doing is talking trash, & I dont have time for that.
Looks good to me! I'm wondering why you ran the ground through the PWM as well as the hot wire? I run two large gens in my 4.0 Cherokee and heat is a definite problem, they run about 28 amps for the pair. By the way, get an in-line EFIE for the O2, don't bother with time wasting MAP/MAF mofifiers.
yeah, i have a digital amp panel meter now, but i don't know how to hook it up.. it has 5 pin wires and dc input metal thing.. does yours only have two wires???
Hey Dude, I gotta know where did you get the digital Volt and mp meters. Those are super cool. and by the way thanks for the part number for the clear pvc at Mcmaster carr.
hi , I have an idea really basic, but I think it may work, if you disconnect o2 sensors and connect directly the generator to those spaces left , would it work as 100% water , or do you find a failure there?
actually I dont think it would work. If your vehicle has an o2 sensor your engine computer needs the signal from that sensor. if you got rid of it, then you would get an error/check engine light & possibly increase the gasoline going into your engine (but I am not 100% sure).
Still a good question for a smarter person than I - perhaps a mechanic.
Sorry but I dont sell any thing - I just pass on what info I have learned. Besides there are people on the net who can make much better quality stuff than me.
hi, exactly how does the efie connect to all this because i am a little confuse due to my little skill of electronics? will the efie be exactly like how u have the diagram??? anyone, let me know how to connect the efie because i can't understand the diagram well, thanks.
I dont know... check out the new vid from electrikride (smack booster creator). He is putting about 5 lpm into a 97 ford ranger and got a 88.8% increase in mpg.
Sure, efie is like a light dimmer switch that adjusts voltage going from the 02 sensor to the vehicle computer (it uses the voltage measurement to determine how much fuel to inject into your engine). Some vehicles need an efie so the vehicle computer doesnt over compensate & dump more fuel into your engine (which would use more gas, instead of saving gas by using hho).
HHO systems inject 2 parts hydrogen & 1 part oxygen into the engine to help burn the fuel & reduce the need for gasoline.
a pwm is again like a dimmer switch except it can dial both voltage & amperage in a circuit.
Its kinda like an iron - you have a dial that can either increases or decreases the heat (which is comprised of volts and amps).
You can set the pwm so that it wont get too hot and melt your hho cell (kinda like keeping an iron on a setting so that you can iron a shirt & not burn it).
Thats about the simplest way I can explain it - I hope this helps.
thank u so much for reponding back the comments. It is the first time on youtube some one responds my comments. I m not a michanic and the hill dont know where the carborator is; I was hopping if u could email me the diagram. It will be very helpful. thank u
hi, very impressive video. would u mind telling me which state are u living in. Becouse we dont have, or I dont know such people in Canada. In case ur living close by toronto I wanna come to convert my vehicle to this technology and second get more information about it. keep up the good job
Very impressed,my circuit is the same as yours Ive connected a digital ammeter up,& when the cell is on this works as a warning light as well.I have made a PWM on a plain board & it works well also a MAF enhancer.I would like your circuit diagram for the EFIE so I can make 1,your presentation is great, how do you get these diagrams on your videos?I would like to try this as I have had requests & Ive got some interesting stuff I would like to post,I will be viewing all your video, regards TERRY
thanks for the offer of the diagrams, any info would be aprieciated, must get my system finished before petrol goes up passed the current price of $11.50 per gallon;Ive had that much interest locally that I could start up my own fan club;thanks again TERRY
Just wanted to know the wire going to the computer for the efie, what wire is that. What am I looking for. There are a ;ot of wires going to the computer. Thank Great lay out. Just watched the one on the relay. Had to look that one up awhile ago.
Its different for various vehicles - not all wires are colored the same so I can really say. Google "efie installation instructions install guide" and I am sure you can find more info that can help.
so im new and getting into this..just within the last two weeks..i enjoy your videos..even more so that you have kutless playing in the background! you still in the military or prior service?
that is awesome...I am in the army reserves right now. I love kutless..theres a ton of not so well known christian bands out there that hardly anyone knows about.
You can also put in a small vent fan to cool down the pwm and circulate the hot air inside the box. Can you pdf or scan me diagram of your pwm/map enhancer wiring? Where did you get that box? Thanks
if you look up the madscientist67 youtube videos you can build your own efie; i made one without any electronics training. next step would be to try to vaporise the gas before it gets to the injectors. i didn't get one yet but i will. general, you can get your pwm from electronic-light or make one if you follow zerofosilfuel's instructions on youtube also.
yes those are very good vids - mad and zero have some really good insight and experience.
Zero's pwm is going thru revision but when he finishes it, it truly be a step above everyone else. I might take the plunge & try to build one, but right now I am concentrating on wiring up & installing my system. If I dont get a marked improvement, I might try and build one.
Congrats on building an efie & keep up the good work.
I have a 30 amp PWM with two heat sinks; frequency 400Hz; uses 12-30VDC. I'm only going up to @ 20 amps.
I got it on ebay, cant remember who tho (sorry).
But the most kicking PWM I have seen if from ZeroFossilFuel; it has a current limiter on it - IOW you set the max current you want, and the pwm automatically keeps the cell at that limit (even if the cell is hot or cold).
He posted vids on "how to" build it too. Great stuff.
hi,, you have excelent videos..any chance that you have clear plans on how to build the cell and how the plates conect to each other, thanks rick allso what is your email address ....
Matter of fact if you google "Smack Booster pdf" you will find the plans for free from youtuber "EletrikRide".
EletrikRide is the one who designed the Smack Booster I am using. Pretty cool and a good way to start learning about this HHO stuff. My next cell will be a dry cell, but before I do that I have to install this one and see if it works.
no problem, i got one more for you, when you go to the supply house to get the inline fuse
get a 440vac 40uf capasitor, and try to get the transformer out of a microwave.......
then use the wire and just run the negitive through on side of the coil,,,,so your using the same wire to the cell, it just travels through a cap and a coil befor it get there....any way that pulse that the pwm makes
will be collected by the cap/coil, and your get hv out of the other side of the coil. look at my video
thanks for the compliments all, but I'm just trying to learn how I can put my system in my truck. Seems like not many are showing how to do that, but rest assured, when I install it in my truck, I will post a lot of vids showing how.
As for my jerry-rigged box, it works and is nothing like the quality stuff that Zero, scarecrow or others do, but its a start. I just consider it another "learning opportunity".
Love the box, man...Neato! I love to watch vids of people that use common items in situations that the original manufacturer never thought of(or intended), and transform that item into something cool. It's all about the imagination.

If you have a narrow band O2 sensor (4 wire snsor) then you just split the white wire and put the efie in line. ie. the white from the O2 sensor into the efie and then the efie output to the white wire. It was on the Smack site. Can also buy from another site but can't remember where. Just google the thing... easy.

2jeter2222 2 years ago
That really depends on what casing would use. You can also limit current flow to limit over heating. Best bet would be so have some form of intercooling system. HMMM???? tied into car radiator? Encapsulate Cell within cooling chamber.

Use 10 ga wire if you plan to operate your cell at 30 amps. Also the longer length of the wire will create more resistance and heat which could be a fire hazard. I recommend a constant current PWM instead of the motor control PWM you have.

Don't use salt use baking soda salt makes Chlorine.
HHO gas floats up to the ceiling in a house do project outside.
Use wind power while driving down the road the wind resistance
against the car and a wind turbine connected to the HHO cell.

dodoshlodo 3 years ago
Great information on this video!

hotairblower 3 years ago
I'm not smart on all that stuff, but from what I have read on different hho sites, you need one efie for each sensor.
Again check with others to see if this is the case.

you only need 2.... (the bank 1)
the other 2 (bank 2) are in ralation with the cat. doesnt take any control with the A/F realation..
evildrag 3 years ago
Hi Steve, Nice video, however I think you might want to put a fan on that control box that's housing the PWM. They get hot and can burn out. EFIE on the O2 circuit is probably not a good way to go with OBDII. My research is leading me to believe that EFIE is best used to modify the MAP and/or the MAF signals. Modifying the O2 signal voltage could allow the fuel system to lean out so much that the cat will burn up.
Keeping im mind Gas is still the primary fuel we burn and it must burn properly.
elitegt1 3 years ago
yea I'm looking at a heavy duty pwm - as for the efie & stuff, not sure if I need that yet. Well see as testing goes on.
thanks for the tips.

The links you gave for those efie units are way too expensive.. My units are $50 each, the ones your promoting are over 80 bucks each and one is over 100 bucks!.. Wtf??
eliminategas 3 years ago
Stop talking trash & listen real good cause I am only going to say this once... I've never owned an efie or have I promoted any product (except JB Weld & Marine Epoxy).
If u read the description box it says "here are some links that have some good INFO about EFIE and PWM stuff". In the vid I state they have good INFO & articles; never said to purchase anything or that I endorse them.
So before u start swearing more u better reconsider; ur so close to getting banned, its not even funny.

I have a 30 amp PWM for sale ebay item number 250297045784
eliminategas 3 years ago
sorry but thats WAY TOO expensive my friend.
:(
I can get the same pwm for $25 (lower price if I buy bulk), then slap on a $4 cooling fan and call it good, however thats not the problem. those pwms are not rated for 30 amps continuous use - probably only 75% of that, so no thank you.
personally I am looking for a heavy duty pwm, something in the range of 80 amps max and about 60-65 amps continuous.
AlmostHydrogen 3 years ago
I have the 30 amp and this PWM is better then the one your making.
eliminategas 3 years ago
(sigh) your not paying attention (again).
AlmostHydrogen 3 years ago
Looks good to me! I'm wondering why you ran the ground through the PWM as well as the hot wire? I run two large gens in my 4.0 Cherokee and heat is a definite problem, they run about 28 amps for the pair. By the way, get an in-line EFIE for the O2, don't bother with time wasting MAP/MAF mofifiers.
cherokeenut 3 years ago
Thanks for the compliment.
Now for the "why"...
Cause thats what the directions said to do.

as for the efie, I am looking at that too, but only after I determine if I need one. I'm just taking this one step at a time.

I have 2 oxygen sensors in my car, how do I hook up the EFIE to both of them? do I need 2 EFIE? or can I just connect 1 EFIE to both oxygen sensors?

not sure - my vehicle only has one o2 sensor and I havent done an after mileage test to see if I even need one or not.

hi , I have an idea really basic, but I think it may work, if you disconnect o2 sensors and connect directly the generator to those spaces left , would it work as 100% water , or do you find a failure there?
shetpopo 3 years ago
actually I dont think it would work.
I hope this helps.

milacute04 3 years ago
I dont know... check out the new vid from electrikride (smack booster creator). He is putting about 5 lpm into a 97 ford ranger and got a 88.8% increase in mpg.
;)
AlmostHydrogen 3 years ago
how does the efie and the pwm work? what are the differences about them two? pls reply to question, thanks.
milacute04 3 years ago
Sure, efie is like a light dimmer switch that adjusts voltage going from the 02 sensor to the vehicle computer (it uses the voltage measurement to determine how much fuel to inject into your engine). Some vehicles need an efie so the vehicle computer doesnt over compensate & dump more fuel into your engine (which would use more gas, instead of saving gas by using hho).
HHO systems inject 2 parts hydrogen & 1 part oxygen into the engine to help burn the fuel & reduce the need for gasoline.
AlmostHydrogen 3 years ago
a pwm is again like a dimmer switch except it can dial both voltage & amperage in a circuit.
:)

Since each vehicle is different, and I dont have mine hooked up thru a relay & ignition, I cant really help you out now.

if you look up the madscientist67 youtube videos you can build your own efie; i made one without any electronics training. next step would be to try to vaporise the gas before it gets to the injectors. i didn't get one yet but i will. general, you can get your pwm from electronic-light or make one if you follow zerofosilfuel's instructions on youtube also.
pgpeachess 3 years ago
yes those are very good vids - mad and zero have some really good insight and experience.

EletrikRide is the one who designed the Smack Booster I am using. Pretty cool and a good way to start learning about this HHO stuff. My next cell will be a dry cell, but before I do that I have to install this one and see if it works.

you can puchace the resetalbe inline fuses at heating and are conditioning parts houses.
crob227 3 years ago
Thanks Cro for the info, I appreciate that.
AlmostHydrogen 3 years ago
no problem, i got one more for you, when you go to the supply house to get the inline fuse
get a 440vac 40uf capasitor, and try to get the transformer out of a microwave.......
then use the wire and just run the negitive through on side of the coil,,,,so your using the same wire to the cell, it just travels through a cap and a coil befor it get there....any way that pulse that the pwm makes
will be collected by the cap/coil, and your get hv out of the other side of the coil. look at my video
crob227 3 years ago
thanks for the compliments all, but I'm just trying to learn how I can put my system in my truck.
