In case anyone didn't know, this is the way to use DSS in the battle arena: enter the battle arena with a fairly high level, lots of mind highs and a summon combo equipped in DSS. Go to items and use the mind high. Unpause and IMMEDIATELY use the DSS button, then down/forward/up/attack to use your summon.

if u use use mp restore items u can still cast summon in battle arena if u can pull the combo fast enough b4 mana get drained lol

Maybe because most of the game seems to be fair in challenge and that it's stepped up that it becomes hard?

The Large Cavern in Order of Ecclesia is probably the hardest arena area in any of the games. I don't count the second, totally unacknowledged tower in Curse of Darkness. The game doesn't even mark it anywhere towards area completion. :P

i don't remember my level when i get to end the first time (probably 40) and i make it in the third try, I'm not trying to say you do it the wrong way but you could have do it a lot faster if you haven't wasted hearts in the first group of rooms, i don't start to use the sub weapons till i get to the poison armors. But anyway is only another way of do it

A technique that you will need to implement to beat the battle arena is a "reverse cross toss." Throw the cross in the opposite direction of the enemy, then jump, duck, or slide to avoid it so you can reach enemies across the screen.

Nicely done this far, I liked the room with the poison armors and bloody swords especially, you did great there, they always hurt me badly. Although I'm level 42, I just can't get past those minotaurs, they own my ass in 2 seconds... :(

to get to the battle arena make sure you have the heavy ring which is the ability to move huge blocks(defeat twin dragons in underground gallery) and you must have the rock wing (defeat camilla in underground waterway) got bout to the end of chapel tower and before you enter the final room before go to the bottom and push the block then use the roc wing to fly up go to left crop down(pretty long ways) and go to the right and you're there.

well nowadays they arent expensive anymore, yea you should get one its a classic and this game does rock, but a gameboy advance should be like...average 100 bucks i think, should be less, if you can get it at a flea market or something itll be like 50 bucks used or something.

you abuse your crosses...thats how you win all i do is whip, lol. and hey anyone want a cool trick? ok if you have lots of mind potions, go to dss if you have the cards to summon a thunderbird use a mind potion when you press B do the combination really fast and itll work trust me i did it aloooot and it will help a lot =]

Here's a secret with the crosses. When you want to hit an enemy on the other side of the screen but can't reach them with crosses, throw the crosses in the opposite direction. Just don't catch them or else it won't work. I abuse that little trick a lot. Really comes in handy.

You mean Vampire Killer?. If so then Touche'. I tried in fighter mode and I wasn't able to beat this.Castlevania producers should really think of making other modes like this. The dificulty in Boss Rush in any Boss Rush mode wasn't even half as hard as this.

Yeah, the first time around in there I had a hard time but after about 3-5 times it gets too easy.
