Hey, this is all good... but yall need to hear this cat Vthov. Search "Vthov Obama Inauguration Song" and you'll see what I'm talking about. He's a nobody now, but he's gonna blow up with talent like that. If I'm lyin I'm flyin.
Within probably umm..2 mins of seeing Barack Obama speak for the first time in 04 I knew he'd be the first black president it was obvious president have a certain quality clinton, reagan, kennedy, obama. It was never a doubt in my mind.
Hahaha....lets see what Obama accomplishes. He can be as sunny and positive as he can and inspire a people who need inspiration, but reality is a potent drawback, and we are in a jam;I hope he succeeds for all our sakes...
Mr Bush has made such a mess of things and left a Colossal mess behind and remember he is still in the house until January. I think Obama has proved that he walks his talk by winning this election which seemed so unlikely at the start. He will do all that he says, but we need to give him time and everyone in America have to work with him, as they have worked in getting him in the Whitehouse.
I hope he is able to make changes to things like the economy and social and cultural differences. His heart and ideas are in the right place, and the people finally woke up and elected a guy who can improve things. He now has a very good mandate to do so!
If you watch this interview in the context of today's events, a lot of what Mr. Obama said came true. He is the combination of a very smart guy, with a great amount of Humanity towards his fellow man. Alot of his ideas are spot on. For example, the idea that one of the real problems facing the U.S. and the West in general, is the fact that China is beating the crap out of us productivity wise. This is one of the causes of the current financial crisis. This man addresses the real issues!!
By far, the fastest growing segment of the new Billonaire population is native mainland Chinese. So there are a hell of a lot of native Chinese Tycoons. Also, you wake up! China owns more than half of America! Who do you think is lending America the Billions and Trillions of Dollars America is borrowing?
This is is the interview that the GOP don't want you to ever see! Barack's vision for America did not start when he decided to run for President. This is a man who is motivated and inspired by the core values of decency of the American people. This is Barack Obama at his best. Thank you Mr President. Obama Biden 08!
Right, grandtheftship, thank America for McCain. It will be a great day when he loses and takes back his dignity and soul from the GOP. Getting that disgraceful and ignorant pretender Palin off his back will be a relief for the country. McCain is a much more effective leader when he's not dishonestly towing his party line. Obama, whether you agree with him or not, is at least an upfront and authentic candidate. A brilliant one at that.
Why can't we have more conversations with candidates? This is so much more revealing than a debate. Barack Obama is so intelligent, his leadership skills, his working knowledge of everyday Americans--We need this man--He inspires me.

You need to show respect. Charlie Rose is Senator Obama's senior in more ways than one. He is a junior senator/academic for god sake. Less than THREE years in the Senate. Charlie is there to ask in depth questions that smart people want answered. Obama is such a politician that its impossible to get a decent answer out of him.
I hope that the American people recognize the great opportunity that has been given to them and vote Obama into office. Imagine having somebody with integrity in this powerful position and how much good such a person could do for America and the world. I think Obama has real decency and is both smart and humble enough to approach the challenges of this generation with honesty and courage. There will be naysayers. Don't listen to them and their message of fear. Instead, be part of the change.
At 5:00 he hits on a wonderful point, and one that our current president doesn't understand. This man has what it takes to be Commander in Chief. May the audasity of hope guide us in 2009. Indeed, Please Win!!!
Unnnecessary to post a thoughtless comment 4xs. People's lives are not cheesy and Obama, who may or not be your choice for prez, is making the attempt to understand what enormous challenges we ALL face together; now and in the near future. Obama is correct. Our lives are more complex than the black 'n white prattle and sensationalisms orchestrated on Fox News etc. It's time for us to wake-up and to think clearly/carefully past the hyperboles.
Charlie was really impressed by the "50 point" election win. Obama made himslef into the "black" candidate with that dumb speech of his where he tried to be a "social engineer". Nobody ever handed me anything for being a caucasoid. Neither of my parents even went to high school but they taught me the timeless value of hard work, best exemplified by my achievement of being born in a log cabin built with my own two hands. Let's see some other sonofabitch ever match that regardless of their race.
I'm glad you worked hard for your achievements, and I'm sure your parents are very proud. Obviously you're doing very well, commenting on a Charlie Rose interview from 2 years ago. All I have to say to you, EnjoyTheBuffet, and to anyone who feels the need to leave thinly veiled Bush Administration talking point memos is this: get your story straight. You built the cabin you were born in? With your own two hands (nice touch!) no less. Apparently you've got Jesus beat. Carpenter in utero!
Diversion is not what we need now -- we owe it to him, a person of people -- IF we have A CHILD comfortable to stand as candidate to represent us -- America; how can we hire him to represent us.
If yes give him a chance; his has claimed that he alone cannot do it He has earned your contributions and respect as a challenge to that call. Do you duty! ...

He hits it on the head when he talks about how talking about policies and programs don't connect with people the way talking about values does.
That's a big way in which the Republicans are ahead of the Democrats.
FreshThoughts 4 years ago 4
He's right.
The Republican's are a lot more concrete on their narrative and their values and presenting those to the American People.
Frank Luntz, a linguist whose been working for the party for years, has done a lot to help them do that.
George Lakoff is doing that footwork for the Democrats today. It's likely to still take them some time to catch up.
FreshThoughts 4 years ago 3
