I find myself conflicted on the subject of commercial music used in soundtracks. On the one hand I think all music used in a film should be original, allowing for no preconceived emotional associations. On the other hand I must admit I owe films like "the crow" and "mortal combat" for exposing me to industrial music. Without those lame movies I really don't know where a 8 or 9 kid would have been exposed to such bands like kmfdm, my life with the thrill kill cult, gravity kills, and so on.
