  • sir where can i buy this from?

  • @AJChannelTube The software from Magix is now updated. It is available by searching Magix video editing or software. Their new software would do all of what is shown in the video and more. The cost would be between $50 and $100. The Magix I use now is Pro 14 but that would be available only as a used format. Thanks.

  • @Featureman thanks sir you helped me a lot!:) i find the software very useful i actually want to make some videos for entertainment and i want it to be like harry potter is that possible with this software?

  • @AJChannelTube The Hollywood studios can do much more than any available software. Magix does many wonderful effects at low cost, both audio and video. Check other video tutorials with Magix and Sony and Adobe After Effects and then check prices. Good luck. Thanks.

  • @Featureman thanks a lot sir!thanks for your time!

  • THANKS ;) it's Just what I was trying !!!

  • @ricreAnna You are very welcome.

  • This is a demo, not really a tutorial

  • $20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @slayermatt62 The newer versions are between $50 and 100 but they do some amazing new things. Thanks.

  • Thats great !

I have a video about different Green/Blue/Yellow Screen backgrounds

  • @blacktears1978 Thanks. I will check out your vids.

  • thumbs up if this man is good at folowing the time, if i talk to my granpa like this he would probly just say "what?"

  • @Alphieboy Thanks. You might like the editing I did with We Wish Us a Merry Christmas on my profile page. Thanks again.

  • Video editing made easier, specially for young ones like me :D thanks this helped :D making a school project soon hope everything turns oout okay :D

  • @painne13 The video editing is much easier now. Even Windows Movie Maker and other free editors make OK movies with titles and transitions. I like doing green screen and cloning. There are some low cost editors which do those effects. Thanks.

  • Really helpful video! Thanks!

  • @sourslime You are welcome. Thank you.

  • 3:37 looks so wrong

  • You have not talked how to use chroma Key. You say you do it but how can u explain?

  • @bkansupada Each video program does it differently. In Magix I right click on the video track which has the video with the green area. I then select Green Box and I use the two sliders to the right (Threshhold and Fading) to tweak it until it looks its best. The video on the track above will show though the green chroma keyed area. Watch my tutorial #12. It shows the tracks. Thanks.

  • thanks man you r an aussom senior citzen u look very youung

  • Thank you very much.

  • You Sir, Are Amazing.

  • Thanks.

  • Featureman,

You are a hero! In fact, you put us young-'uns to shame! No fear of computers, plenty of funny stuff and informative. Many more happy's, for you, I hope . I wonder if you're planning any more Chickleberry Driveway Company stuff; that was inspired!

    PT

  • Thanks. Chickleberry memorial driveway was one of my favorites. I will think about redoing it or doing something similar.

  • Thanks

  • You are welcome.

  • I like the bit where there was 2 of you, it was funny. I done the same thing in one of my videos. I learned some good tips from your video, thank you!

  • 8:01 IS SOO HALARIOUS! Good video

  • Thanks.

  • Preety cool, i like it a lot. Thanks for the video! :D

  • You are welcome. Thanks.

  • easy efects ... but most of people at your age dont know how to move the mouse !!

  • Thanks. The first time I used a computer was in the late 1970s. I bought one in the 1980s but I did not get on the internet until the 1990s.

  • and some of them can still slap your ass with the mouse

  • Great Video!

    Thanks for the help

  • You are welcome.

  • Thanks for the additional info.! and I would'nt mind you sharing some of your Greyhound Scenicruiser rides some time.Ive got an old 78 rpm record of :love on a Greyhound bus by The dinning sisters I want to use in background on my next video post. Thanks again

  • The Dinning Sisters were popular at one time. Their brother Mark had the big hit "Teen Angel." I often rode Scenicruisers when I was in the Army. Thanks.

  • Many Thanks!

I'm new to videos and you tube.I have only posted a couple on you tube. This will greatly assit me with our Greyhound Scenicruiser Restoration posts!

    Joel

  • You are welcome. I am a Scenicruiser fan. I rode thousands of miles on those in the 1950s and 1960s. I recommend the Magix Pro 14, but watch out with Windows Vista. One of my Windows Vista PCs works with it the other doesn't. Magix support is not great but there are many Magix users at YouTube who have great tutorials. Be sure to experiment and don't rely too much on the built in tutorials.

  • whats that??

    magix edit pro 15 plus??

do u know whats the serial number??

    pls.. help..

  • I am using a Magix Pro 14 Plus now. I think they have a 15 but I do not have one.

  • is there way to download magix?

  • I do not know of any free downloads, but they do have downloadable software at their site. It might be available at tucows or other download sites. Amazon might have a link or info.

  • I have completed a video with Magix 12 but I can't figure out how to publish it as a file I can upload online. How did you do that?

  • I almost always use wmv file format for my videos. Go to the FILE link in the upper left of MAGIX and click EXPORT TO and when the choices come up choose WINDOWS MEDIA. In that dialog box I recommend 1280 X 720 video 16/9 with 48K sound. You can use smaller sizes but the video will not be as sharp when you upload to YouTube. The resulting file will have a wmv extension. That can be uploaded. A 5 minute video would have about 50 MB in size. It would take about 45 minutes to upload with DSL.

  • Hello from Liverpool England. We use Magix too. Check out our news videos. We have subscribed to you so check out our vids. Keep in touch. Loved your tutorials

  • Thanks.

  • i have 14 edit pro and i have no idea how to use it...

  • Do you have 14 or 14 plus?

  • I now have the 14 Plus. When I made this video I was using the Magix Video Edit Pro 2004 which was an old version.

  • have you tried using the keyframe animator?

  • No. Not yet. I will check it out.

  • It basically is just a tool to make things like pictures move across the screen, but i use very short clips and then move the image very slightly

  • you seem to be a nice man :) I liek this video and i suscribe :)

    Tino

  • Thank you so much.

  • certainly get a lot of program for your money with magix , going have to get a better pc mines struggling , need more ram or bigger processer , thanks for taking the time ..

  • Yes. There is much in the program I have not used yet. I am using Magix Movie Edit Pro 14 now. The audio and video effects are amazing. They have a new Pro 15 now that I have not used. If you want to see some advanced amazing tricks look at any tutorial for Adobe After Effects. It is expensive. I do not have it. Thanks.

  • Thank you very much. That green screen was interesting. I'm off to home depot for some paint for the living room right now.

I hope my wife likes green. :-) I remember something called blue screen in movies, I guess now it green.

Thanks again for the info and insights.

    Ray

  • Before buying green paint be sure to get the correct shade. You can Google it and find the correct number for the color. Also blue will work in many programs including Magix. Just pick one or the other and study a little first. It is a fun effect. Thanks.

  • 5/5 from saudi

  • Thank you very much.

  • hahaha 8:02

  • Thanks.

  • nice work man! grettings from Argentina!

  • Thanks. It is fun to work with the video images.

  • NIce work, keep up the good work. I hope to be as creative as you in 35 years :)

  • Thanks.

  • how do I change the lighting of my video's in windows movie maker? can it be done?

  • I am not real familiar with Windows Movie Maker. It does have many features. There is a Brightness increasing choice that you can use. It is on the left with the editing portion of the program. Click on Video Effects and then make the choice that most looks like what you want. Thanks.

  • Hi. yea I know that is there. But I know that you can improve the quality of the recording like if it is dark or the colours are askew you can fix it. I saw someone do it but he didn't show how to do it. lol :-)

  • your pretty tech savvy for a boring looking old man !

  • Not really. I know a lot about video uploading and music programs but I am not aware of blackberry products or ipods and many other things. I have limited tech savvy.

  • K,.. I'm having issues with sound and visual. Its out of sync,.. (after I Encode my video too AVI). Does anyone know how too synce video on this MAGIX Pro 14?

  • Hi, I rarely ever render my videos to avi. I have had out of sync video results though when I mix two or three video clips into one video, if the clips are different size. For example if I mix a 480 X 360 with a wide screen video of maybe 720 X 480 or any different size the results might become messed up. Also sometimes the still pictures change size when there is a mixed format of video sizes.

  • I've a video software called power director V7. It's a lot better than windows movie maker. It does the same thing transistions, split clips etc. But I'm not to sure about how much effects it has. It's very good I'd say you love it. But I don't know if it's available in your area. Should do.

  • Hi. Thanks. I am not familiar with the Power Director V7, but the reviews look good. The thing I most like about Magix pro 14 which I am now using for most of my videos is that it has 99 tracks available which means I can overlay a still picture or video clip or audio clip or combination almost endlessly. I could actually do a four part harmony with all 4 videos on the screen at the same time and I could still add titles and still pictures to the foursome. Magix also has great audio tools.

  • thnx for the information im a young actor/movie maker in the making and i wanted to know what the green screen was and how they do it....

  • I think it was my firstvideo a couple of years ago where I show the basics of green screen or chroma key. It is a way to add green to one video and overlay that on a second video clip and the green disappears and the second video shows through. Watch the first video I did and you will see it is a lot like watching the weather forecast on TV but you put a scene behind you, not a weather map.

  • I know the Magix software. Its from a German software company. It´s nothing professional ;). But it´s nice if you want to do a few little videos in a short time. These programs are very easy to use and that´s why I bought the videomaker :).

  • It is rather amazing how much can be done so cheaply now. About 15 years ago a Video Toaster would have cost thousands and it did not do all that video software does today. Magix does the audio and video effects plus burns DVDs, although I have not burned any DVDs with it yet.

  • You´re right! Magix is quite good for non-professional videos. I also don´t have the time to learn more complex software like Adobe Premiere or something.

  • video greatness

  • Thanks.

  • 14 is the new one

  • Thanks.

  • yes, a new one

  • Thank You.

  • You are welcome.

  • haha cool stuff, cool videos

  • Thanks. Video making is fun.

  • Good tuturial. Thanks for spending your time helping others.

  • You are very welcome.

  • Great stuff.

  • Thanks.

  • great vid

it helped me alot im gonna be fliming a home movie for my music label this was gud

    made it to my favs

  • Thanks. Have fun. You will be able to do a lot with any video editor that has multiple tracks.

  • ok thanks for tips also when you pan down the video and stand back far enough it will look like your levitating

  • Thanks. I occasionally watch Magic's Greatest Secrets Revealed. Some of the magic tricks could be used in video productions.

  • sony vegas 7.0 is better i think :D

  • Probably. I don't know. I had Vegas 4 when it was Sonic Foundry. It was very good. Thanks.

  • but nice effects :D its hard 2 mask things on sony vegas :S its not easy 4 me 2 use it

sorry im still dutch soo i dont type all words good

just download a key gen and hack the activasion code or something :D

  • Thanks. I haven't done any masking yet but maybe someday I will try that. I know it can be used to make almost any effect.

  • good luck wise man :-)

  • im getting 14 plus

  • I think it is a good choice.

  • i calnt find the software on ebay uk so ill just torrent it lol ;) and featureman plz accept me as a friend :)

  • Hi. I know nothing about torrenting. Good luck with everything. I accept most friend requests.

  • I have Magix 14. Very nice but It was $50 At Best Buy

  • I also have the 14 version. I think it does all the things 12 does plus you can upload direct to YouTube. It is a little more expensive, but it costs so much less than the high end video editors.

  • hi, do you know if Movie edit pro 11 plus, has green screen. I Would think that it does if 2004 had it and 11 was released in 2006.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    John

  • My guess is it does. If you can get a copy of the video effects and see if GREEN BOX is listed. Also check amazon for users comments and reviewer. Good luck.

  • It's good but I didn't understand how you do it...

  • Hi, thanks. Each effect has a link inside the video editor. The newer versions of Magix have all the video effects in one link and all the audio effects in one link. Each effect has many different variations and tweaking becomes necessary. Magix is reasonable easy to work with and learn. Sony Vegas video editing is also much liked and low cost. Transitions are easy between scenes for most video editors.

  • featureman, do you do any personal teaching for magix software. I have a photography business I do on the side and i have found need for video. I am located in Nc. Thanks for your time

  • No. Thanks. I don't have any spare time to do anything right now. I keep busy going back and forth between two houses and I spend what spare time I can doing videos. You will learn the Magix or Sony Vegas or Ulead or any system if you just keep making test videos and don;t rely on their tech support to be very helpful.

  • mine doesn't work, i have 2004 and i've tried it on many shade sof green but it still doesn't do anything

  • I am not sure what you are doing. Do you open VISUAL EFFECTS and then drag the green screen box down to the video track you are working on?

  • Looks good im getting magix 11

  • That should probably be a good one. There are some videos here that show various Magix software.

  • In my experience free movie editing software has always been overly complicated to use, such as "Jashaka"...i have yet to find a decent program that is also free...

  • Hey I have a problem, i just got magix movie edit pro 14 plus and i clicked something and my playback screen vanished, please help!

  • Try while in EDIT mode, going to the upper left menus. Select WINDOWS and then click MONITOR.

  • Thanks professor. You are a true gentleman and hands-on scholar...giving freely and receiving. I believe your bread will return...or allready has.

  • Thanks. It does not hurt to share the little I know. I will add more later.

  • Thank you THX THX THX ^^

  • You are welcome. Use bright lighting on your green screen and a light behind you so you don't reflect the green. Have fun.

  • okay im sorry i said it in the wrong way,

i have magix mivie edit pro 14 plus

can u make a response how to use the green screen i can´t find it in the program can u show me where it is?

  • Hi. I have the Pro 14 but I rarely use it for editing. The green screen in that editor is found by loading your green screen overlay in the lowest track and your background above it. Next go to EFFECTS then go to VIDEO and then to GREENBOX. Click on the Greenbox and drag it onto your green screen overlay clip track. Right click on the track and click VIDEO EFFECTS. Use the GREENBOX and the two control sliders to the right to make tweaks. Good luck.

  • How do u do the green screen thingi ^^ ? please help

  • Hi. It depends on your video editor. The basic idea is you stand in front of a green or blue screen and put that video clip over something you want in the background. You need two video trcks. The green is keyed out so it becomes invisible and the other track shows through. You could put a green paper up against a car window and film yourself inside with the green window in the background and have a second video of moving scenery. It looks like your car is moving.

  • Hi, can u show me how to do the green screen?

    THX

  • sorry dude i was only joking ur awesome and helped me alot

  • U r The Coolest Old Man I have Ever Seeeeeen Thx Really I liked your Video

  • Thanks. I will eventually get more video info up here. Thanks again.

  • Awesome!-I love U.S!

  • Thanks. I will soon do an update with a newer version of Magix software, but I have to upload it and learn it first.

  • Oki Doki!

  • Some great information here,

    thanks for sharing Featuteman.

  • Hi, BigLon, I will try to do some more of these when I get my new Magix Movie Edit 14 Pro probably next week or the week after. It will take me some time to learn what I am doing. Thanks.

  • Hey tom, have you ever thought of shelling out cash on some serious video editing systems? I'm talking Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas Pro, Avid, Adobe, etc. I guarantee you will have a ball with all the bells and whistles they have.

  • Hi. I had the Vegas video editor several years ago when it was Sonic Foundry before Sony bought it. I did some videos with it. It cost a couple of hundred then. I like the Magix better. I will be getting a new Magix Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus in a few days. I have a very high end chroma key program, but I never use it because it takes hours to render a one minute scene. I will let you know how the new Magix stacks up.

  • Ah cool. AS far as render times go what hardware is your computer running?

  • Hi. My computer does not run any hardware. It is connected to a printer which I use once in a while but I don't have any hardware going that is run by the computer. The render time is fast enough with everything except the chroma key program that renders only in AVI or MPEG that takes a lot a lot of time because of the large file size. I can do a quick green screen with just the Magix and a render to wmv file.

  • Oo, intresting stuff, Thanks. :)

  • Thamks, DD11. I hope the viewers here will check out some of your videos. Daniel has made a stop motion movie and some light sabre vids. He also is very informative about the camera and methods he uses.

  • Very informative, thanks for taking the time to show this.

  • Thank you. I do recommend ost of the newer lower cost editors for most video makers.

  • TIP: Use better lighting on the green wall and you should have a better image infront of it.

  • Thanks. I did rush this one. I also need a bigger room where I can be a couple of feet from the wall and still have the camera far enough back to get a full body shot.

  • cool!

  • thx tom!

  • You are welcome. Thanks.

  • SWEEET!

    Thanks.

  • Thank you.

  • I love your Videos!!

  • Thank you very much. I enjoy making them. I should have more time next month to make videos.

  • hey tom i sent you a message for a video request i hope you got it

  • hey tom i sent you a message for a video request i hope you got it

  • hey tom i sent you a message for a video request i hope you got it

  • hey tom i sent you a message for a video request i hope you got it

  • I received it. I just sent an answer. Thanks.

  • Tom, thank you so much! You can't imagine how helpful this was. I have looked at a few tutorials on here but usually can't get past the blaring rock music that one feels is necessary to get their point across. They talk fast and assume that people have some editing skills. Big Hugs, Tom! Susan

  • Thanks, Susan. There are some good tutorials here for some video tricks but never enough.
