Money is the factor accept it ... this the factor... what r the people complaining of pilots leaving their jobs , pilots r forced to do this in Indian air force ..... for example
in US a fighter pilot gets starting salary of $35k around , in UK it is like 33 pounds nd so on
becoming a pilot in airforce is great job and thus needs to have good salary at least must be equal to a manager in private company Nd all over the world Pilots of airforce are well paid bt in India they are offerd 50k
The Mig 29 SMT upgrade is going to make it a very deadly platform. First it used to be solely an air dominance fighter but now it would be a true multirole fighter with a great range of A2A missiles and the capability of carrying out precision strikes.
is it necessary pakisthan continue as a separate country?like tibet y india take it?isreal & america as well as russia also happy.afhanithan our friendly country also happy. We will give good jobs to taliban and give good salary.
I don't understand why people are reading so much into end user agreement. Every country who purchased US weapons has signed it including close US allies like UK, France and Japan. It didn't limit their use of these weapons. Pakistan did it too, did that stop them from using it against India? If India uses INS Jalashawa for amphibious assault, what do you think will happen? will US recall the weapons? Which court will they go to? These things are superficial, get over it.
President Nixon said to Russian leader during 1971 war " Pakistanis are using our weapons and India is using soviet union weapons" It is the responsibility of
soviet union to prevent the war from escalating.
He said this when stupid Pakistanis went and begged Nixon for help thinking that India was going to invade and takeover west Pakistan
Russians replied that India already tasted victory in east Pakistan and it is impossible to stop them now.
See, it is not about whether we can use the weapons purchased or not. We are going to use them regardless of what, but we don't want to be blackmailed or pushed around by the suppliers, like lets say no spare parts, no engine replacements, no upgrades !!
US cannot replace Russians. We have heard that very often from Indian leaders that even though India has found new relations with the west it wouldn't be at the cost of its time tested friendship with Russia.
@kashsoldier hai u have very deep knowledge of military weapons as i can see from so many of your video u know deep technicalities of aircraft and so i was keen to know that so many ppl disagree with indian decision of choosing rafale over euro fighters(typhoon) what you think??
I am not qualified to compare two modern fighter jets but I am not surprised by Ministry of Defense decision to go for Rafale rather than Typhoon.
Cost played a big role in the selection of Rafale over Typhoon.
Technology and politics played a big role in the elimination of American fighters F16, F18s, Gripen and Mig 35, since these fighters cost less than Rafale or Typhoon.
Indian air force not only looked at technology but also consequences of any sanctions by the US.
@kashsoldier ive heard that we rejected American planes coz they were giving us outdated version of F series and they changed the system some how that no one can carry any further modification in it usa keeps best to them self unlike France rafale who are giving us the most updated version of it and we can also do the experiment of our own once we have d plane and we will very soon gonna have pakt50 5th gen beast daddy of f22 thnx to indo-russian collaboration
nope, Indira Gandhi felt that it was unnecessary to roast west porkistan. Her main concern was illegal immigrants from the east. UN never had any power and it was pathetic while trying to prevent Iraq from being invaded by the US in 2001.
The reson why india didnt get Eurofighter is not becuase its too expensive, its because its not long ranged and not carrier bound. FA18 Super Hornet, Mirage and flying coffin mig35 are long ranged and carrier bound.
i think rafale is d best choice for mmrca..but d thing is we want aircraft to replace our single engined mig-21's..rafale,f-18's,mig 35,typhoon r all twin engined, porkies have f-16's n gripen has no war experience...also to note dat mig 35's wont be available till 2013.eurofighter is too expensive..all other planes have US parts.. in future they can put sanctions on us and hence we wont have spareparts..dassault rafale is d only complete aircraft with all d avionics parts n missiles r dere's
su27 beat f15 & 16 during excercise imagine what would their su30mki would do to F22 and F18. You can google this also which was an eye opener for the USAF.
the end user agreement is bullshit. apparently they even made india sign one for the ship they gave us the INS Jalashwa. We can only use the Jalashwa for humanitarian causes. Not during a war. The superhornet is good but my personal favorite is the MiG 35. and kash any news on the Pak-Fa project?what about MCA have trials for it started?
Dear Kashsoldier , i have very little knowledge about airfoce i need your comment. What you will recommend on selection Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA). The six competing MRCA aircraft are Rafale, Typhoon, F-16C/D, F/A-18E/F, JAS 39 Gripen and MiG-35. What do you fell, which craft will suite for Indian air force?
It will be a political decision !!! I think it will be Rafale. Indian air force has Mirage 2000, which is a medium combat aircraft.
All the fighter jets will come with AESA and BVR. F18 lead the way here but others are not far behind. F16s may not qualify because pakistani air force has F16 A/B/C.
Euro will be out because it is too expensive. F18s stand a chance but the problem is end user monitoring agreement. India can never sign that.
so whats the problem if we get too many migs?.... if we induct that it is esy adopt it and easy to learn and even on spare parts as we operate lot of mig series...i think mig was outstanding in all those fighter jets...what do u think?
Nothing wrong in having more Migs but we already have Mirage 2000 in the medium combat category. Rafale can be its successor. Some people would say, too much dependence on Russia !!
Thanks, Kash, for the explaination. I can understand why that would create a lot of friction to a country that was attacked using US equipment, but the inspection of that equipment that was already purchased, makes no sense to me. I'm sure the Indian Govt. will ammend the agreement according to their own needs. Kind of like a line-item veto we have here. Thanks again, sir.

India is moving ahead fast across all sectors and that means inherent power. Pakistan is mired in a swamp of its own making -jehadis and mullahs roaming the streets and fighting across Pakistan, Benazir murdered, the CJudge under arrest, a dictator struggling to hang onto power! In another 10 years the pakistanis will be eating grass as depicted by the Asiaweek magazine sometime ago. Yes they can try and eat as the main course their Chinese Fierce Dragon jets and F16s' for dessert!
Oh man, I also read that we have the R-172 which claims to have a range of 400km. Never ever heard anyone talk about these. I didn't know we could block the Indus. OMFG! That's funny.

Pakistanis have AMRAAM C1205 series BVR weapons(Iam not sure about the credibility of the report). Its range is 100km. India can go for R77M1 with a range of 150km. Russia uses it already. War is just not about BVR missiles. If india blocks indus river-pakistan cannot surivive for more than 7 days!!
Any Soldier that fights for the Homeland should be respected. When Alexader held Poras (Indian king who fought him)he asked Poras, tell me how you should be treated, to that Poras reply was, treat me like one Soldier should treat another when captured and set the standard forth since you have this historic opportunity.SOLDIER NEVER QUITS TILL HE DIES.
