I did listen to what the man just said and I disagree with him. What if one group hates another group but they don't have power or finances? Are they only officially racist when they get their hands on some guns and cash? Hatred is hatred...like I said it just sounds like an excuse to me.

Hatred is hatred and that is fine; however, without the power its just wasted energy. He's talking more than just a person to person basis. He's getting into the power structure in this country. Black folks can't put laws and policies in place to stop white folks from achieving their goals. The playing field just isn't fair.

I see what you are saying about laws and policies, but there's a difference between being racist and letting that racism being motivation for one's actions. Black enslavement was just racism in action. But for Dr. Anderson to encourage counter-racism and then disguising it as something else is counter productive and irresponsible.

Ur jumpin the gun a lil' bit mama. To predict that we would practice Racism once we come out of our current dire positions as a ppL goez against the prophecies and scriptures that many believe in. Plus, Dr. Claude said we need to reverse our conditions by supporting our own ppL, not using our power, wealth and resources, which we currently don't have as a whole, against any other groups. Then he said eventually we can put the movement in neutral.

I do agree with supporting our people...I am all for edifying and supporting each other so that we are better for it in the future. But I don't believe it's possible to reach neutrality if blacks are being told that it's okay to be bitter at the white race as a whole. That is how I understand Dr. Anderson's statement. Such thinking only perpetuates the negative cycle. I do respect him and agree with many other points he's made. It's just this definition of racism that I have a problem with.

Thank you! It was starting to get lonely over here. lol. But yeah, that was an ignorant statement. I believe the major obstacle that black America faces today isn't "the white man," its our own selves individually. The restrictions placed on us a hundred years ago have done their damage, however we're no longer bound by willie lynch and jim crow. We ought to move forward accordingly, because we really do have so much more freedom than we did back then.
