If you can get past the fact that they've got the most beautiful women to ever grace the silver screen playing a woman who has a hard time getting men & is apparently forgettable in bed, (pfft, easy enough) the acting is really remarkable on both Natalie and Steve's part. I love this movie so much. I really hope it comes out on dvd soon.

This is a very good post, thanks for sharing it; It was funny and entertaining--which is rare for Hollywood players nowadays. PS: why are there no women like Natalie Wood these days--period: movie stars or girls in your everyday life? I'm fairly well-read (Fitzgerald/Poe/Jimmy Baldwin/Orwell/Wilde) and and under 35; yet all I encounter are one-dimensional women with tattoos and attitude and hang ups that aren't even interesting. PPS: I'm in Britain: is the answer thus in the question?

Nathalie Wood already was not just a star but also a magnificent actress at early age she was just 25 when she did this movie and Steve Mcqueen was 33 both made of this movie one of the greatest films ever, at any time Steve McQueen reminds me Paul Newman at all Steve and Nathalie were unique both talented and charming, as I said Nathalie at early age already had adult roles and today all this old actresess what to play teenage girls when they are in their 30's

This is a great scene in a good movie that had a sad and ugly storyline for most of the film. I would have liked to have seen more scenes like this in the film. Natalie Wood had the unique quality of seeming vulnerable and street savvy at the same time. There is something about her that makes you want to protect her. I would have also liked to have seen Steve McQueen's character soften a bit more. I never got the feeling that he had really fallen in love, just a bit quilty and responsible.

This is one of my favorite movies. I watch it all the time. I can't believe with all the lousy movies that do get on DVD, this one hasn,t. I have it on VHS but I am afraid I will wear it out one day. Please get this one on DVD. They were classic together.

Yes, she's still pregnant at the end. The character Columbo that Tom Bosley plays was going to marry her and say the baby was his, but Steve McQueen's Rocky steps up and it's bells and banjos and happy ever after...I hope.
