@mrkaysta1 let me be the first to agree with you!! This craphole city is full of money hungry oil drilling greedy people in the world. I've lived here all my life and am waiting for the day to leave!! If you don't have money you are a nobody here and it's full of stuck up people wanting to be the number 1 in drilling oil. I hate to burst your bubble but CBS 7 is actually in the City of Odessa, and so is the mall, ITS NOT in Midland so I don't know why it shows Midland as the city where the station is located at and futhermore New West 9 is located in Midland County NOT within the City of Midland, located by Midland Intl Airport which is about 10 miles southwest of Midland/10 miles northeast of Odessa!

Between 1981 & 83, I worked at this station. It was a great place to make mistakes and learn from them. It helped me jump to the Tulsa market (from #154 to #51, at that time). Don't judge the people too hard...it is, after all, a small market and even the Dan Rather's started in places like this. While I love Tulsa, there are things I miss about Odessa/Midland. Heck, if I find my old resume tape, I might post my gawd-awful video clips on YouTube!

The studio that this newscast is based out of is located in Music City Mall. This is actually in the City of Odessa, Texas, not Midland. In the clip, the mall that is shown is in Odessa. If you are going to do a show about something and broadcast that show, someone needs to take the time to do the research and get their facts straight before any national broadcast.
