hi ive got a g25 shifter and igot it all apart (only needed video to figure out shifter nob) shifter wont work its got power everthing plugged in but no buttons on my shifter work anyone have any ideas ?

all connections good no water damage it has been sitting in my closet waiting for gt5 to come out! i hooked it up to ps3 for gt5p and nothing hooked up to pc and did a test everything works except the shifter? (including all buttons on shifter) but the led's come on solid?

my shifter is very sensitive when moving backwards in sequential mode. do you know what may be causing this problem or how can i fix it? i opened it and saw the inner workings, but didn't want to mess it up without really knowing what to do. thanks in advance!

maybe not directly to the driving force pro, but possibly separately...? I can't guarantee whether it will work or not... but I guess you could try getting a "USB To DB9 Male Serial Adapter" (the Shifter has a DB9 Female connector)... :)

Out of curiosity, why would you want to open the Shifter?

some people like to modify the resistance of the shifting action to allow a more "realistic" feel. You can also replace the shifting knob with a real knob from a real car(but only if the hole fits).

easiest way to mod is to use a screw/bold exact size as the spring the spring will screw in perfectly and then this screw can be placed inside then the tricky bit is to try get the spring and ball bearing to hold while you put it all back together to much pressure !! by the way screwing the bold in 50/50 tightens the spring

the wires are crap in the shifter, mine all broke when taking it apart.

Hey I just wanted to point out to everyone that you can buy a NEW shifter for like $40so it you break it, it's not the end of the world. Buy just a shift mod it and use that, if it breaks then just use the original un-modded

Hi Jamesnorman can that top panel with the 4 red buttons and the other set of buttons above that be totally taken out and plugged back in somewhere else? . . .basically trying to see if some of those buttons could be added on the wheel in some way, without the shifter part. .

no, I don't think that is possible... you can put something underneith the spring to make it more-springy. Thats how I made my shifter stiff...

yea it works , i put my miata's shift knob on it. and used some tolet paper to stop it moving around lol, do u know how to make some resistance on the shifter ?, it feels way too loose on H-pattern shifting.

You may want to add resistance to the shifter (make it harder to change gear - more realistic).

Or take out a loose screw like shown by Lakon44
