My neighbor is a Neurology Vet at UGA here. They see many Dachshunds, and often prepare these so that the dogs can still ambulate around. It is wonderful! Thank you for sharing it.
frankie is such a cute dog and that poor dog had to have a accident that is just sad its realy amotional and its true who is annyone aut there facing a challenge it cold be bullys at school, injury , not having friends remember to be positive and keep on rolling life is too short to be sad
I cried my eyes out, poor baby! I am happy you found a way to keep on going and enjoying your lives together! My baby went through the same type of accident this summer. She had surgery and it was touch and go for a while. She can walk, but is still crippled. I thank God for her and I thank God Frankie is such an inspiration to others. Thank you for sharing your story with all of us! God Bless!
This was so beautiful and inspiratonal and brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad that you guys did not give up on Frankie, it takes a lot of heart to do what you guy's did for him. My dachshund recently went through surgery and is recovering well, she regained use of urinating and passing stools. She did not have that before, but with the surgery her nerves are healing and she has bladder control again. I know with a little more time and TLC she will walk again soon. :) God Bless you both!
Thanks for sharing! I hope your Frankie is doing well! My Frankie, also a doxie, is over 18 years old. He has been the best dog ever. Unfortunately, he has advanced-stage kidney failure and is going to doggie heaven soon. But he will live forever in our memories.
Thank you for your concern. Actually it is not the kennel owners fault. This is a disease in the breed and this could have happened anywhere. I never have blamed the kennel and would trust her again with any of my dogs.
This is one of the most inspirational videos I have ever seen...not only is Frankie a survivor, but he's learned with the help of his loved ones, that he can still live a happy life. I've worked and volunteered with children with disabilities and I plan on buying this book for them. Bless Frankie and his family for overcoming obstacles to rise above and find a way to adapt & still enjoy life...With LOVE, all things are possible ♥
By the way, GREAT song choice and thank you so much for sharing! I hope you don't mind that I posted it on my two facebook pages..mine and my doggy's <3
Awesome video... reminds me so much of my cart doxie Mikey. Immediate surgery (feb'09) by the best docs, PT, & acupuncture gave hims +85% chance of walking again... yet he has shown no progress.
I have slowly become convinced Mikey is meant to be my personal & shining example of how wonderful and "normal" a cart dog can be... just as Frankie was meant to be a famous biographer of her story.
hugs & dog kisses... from "cousin" Mikey, his blind fur sister Ginger & hooman mom Katie
Omg Frankie ='( Im glad that you can do everything that you did before u got hurt=)You put tears in my eyes but a smile on my face.Ty ur an inspiration to everyone and everything
frankie you are an inspirion.you are reallygreat and very courageous dog to keep on going. god was there with youy all the time. all have faith in god hell always guide and help you love you frankie
Gosh...just a fabulous 'very inspiring' video about this most precious little soul and his family that cherishes him...God Bless you dear Frankie! xox
That is such a touching video & story!! Bless you both for your courage & love. You've picked the perfect vehicle to get your story out. My soul dog was a basset/beagle X--long, low body. One day she fell off the picnic table & the next day she was paralyzed. She had a spirit that never gave up, & she told me so. Thru many weeks, tears, work & hope, she regained a part of her functioning. Did she mind it? NO-she was the happiest dog I've had. I miss hervery much. Her name was Snuffy.
I loved this video. Brought tears to my eyes. First thing I did when it was over is go hug my paralyzed boy. These disabled dogs teach us so much. Thank you for all you do.
Your dog looks exactly like the dachshund I used to have. I am going to have to go to Barnes and find the book now. Frankie is just adorable and what a wonderful message for everyone, young and old. Thank you for giving us all hope and strive for that "yes all things are possible."
This dog is amazing. I lvoe you Franklin!!!
