  • I loved her singing so much!

  • I was entranced by her voice when I first heard her in '52 when I was a 21-yr-old busboy at Sahati's Stateline Country Club at So. Lake Tahoe. She was just off a flight to Reno from wherever, and arrived at the club around 4:00PM, obviously very tired. She immediately spent about an hour with the house band to be sure she'd have it right for the 2 shows that night.. She always disappeared between shows to practice in her room. Unforgettable!

  • Thats what is called singing. Lovely voice.. I bought some of her records here in the UK around 1953-- 'Til I Waltz Again With You', 'Water Wont Quench the Fire Of Love' (with Helen O'Connell), 'Seven Lonely Days' etc. Have them on cd now. Lovely memories.

I wish she were still with us all

  • Remember when performers actually had something called TALENT?

  • That is immensely beautiful, a great talent - thank you!

  • Wonderful !!! Thank you for these beautiful memories !!

  • I don't think Gisele had become a US citizen yet at this date, though she did later in the same year.

  • I believe Gisele got a dual citizenship in the US and Canada in 1955. I have a picture of her signing the papers at the same time singer Carmel Quinn did! As I recall it was from a 1955 clipping. Gisele felt strong bonds with her native Canada and her adopted US.
