When you put the words up every one went home do you mean rescuers ornly? Did any one die in that crash? Were victumes life flighted (air ambulance) to local hsopitals? Is 10 the max crew size for the engine? When the one crew memeber says "Holly Shit" I am thanikning that is an undestatement. Do you know if there was any leagal action taken in the aftermath of this call? Are the 2 perosnel with white helits Cheif officers or Captains? Tank you for posting this. STAY SAFE OUT THERE!!
@ahnbra Well its been a while but the statement that everyone went home was really in reference to the responders. Besides the injury's to the driver of the truck no one else was injured in an extrication process that took several hours. The cab of the truck ended up basically in the basement of the third house it hit. As for legal action i'm really not sure. The two white hats were the Chief and Asst Chief.
@navyguyhm3 well the video portion consisted of about 25 min of rural PA driving. Believe me the video is better with some pics to make the trip a little shorter
I live right across the bridge, I never heard the truck hit or anything. My Husband did he hopped out of bed scared the crap out of me. I got up checked on the kids, it was so dark out I didn't see anything so I went back to bed. When I got up an hour or two later to go to work, boy was I surprised. I looked out the window and thought um HOLY HELL! Then again I think 20 people called me to ask me about it.
I remember seeing damaged homes a while dack on a trip to clearfield and I wondered how it happened,Well now I know. It seems like clearfield is a really long run for you guys. Does everyone travel that far for mutual aid calls in that part of the state? Maybe it just seemed far to me I'm from allegheny county we have roughly 300 fire depts so for most calls we never travel more than a few miles.
To answer your question, No, We have maybe went there one other time well before my time, Maybe. From Reynoldsville to Clearfield Is roughly 30-35 Miles. According to the camera in the truck it took us 25 min. to get there but that is of course traveling up the big clearfield mountain also. They needed manpower to the scene. Our company along with a couple others from our county were called. We get on average 17 people per call so that would be why. Thanks for the comment!
It Happened In Clearfield Pa., Central PA. There Was Another Accident On Interstate 80. The Traffic Was Being Rerouted Down The Hill Into Clearfield And Back Onto I-80. The Tractor Was Basically In The Basement Of The Second House. Driver Was Trapped For About 5 Hrs. The Entire House Needed Stabilized. Alot Of Resources Were Used And From What I Saw Everyone Did An Awesome Job Working Together. Just An Extra Note: The Truck Was Hauling Frozen Bacon.
I know this area fairly well. Where exactly did this accident occur? I used to live about an hour from there and I won't be out that way again around Thansgiving. VERY WELL DONE VIDEO!
Where (state) and when did this happen? Did that driver not make that little curve and plow thru the houses? Where did the tractor end up? A miracle no one was killed. Awesome video, 5 star and favorited...
