His son is the deku at the beginning of the game that is frozen and "sad looking". Skull kid took his life to turn link into a deku scrub. All three of the transformation masks are of the dead. This one is just not as obvious. It is a brick joke actually, because once you get the scent mask, there will be a scene in the end of the game that shows the butler kneeling in front of his dead son, which is REALLY sad, but vague.

Actually, The spin attack is really useful, you can rotate the anlog stick and then b to instantly do the spin, which will strike many enemies and hurt them bad.

Scent Mask is the second most useless mask, Mask of Truth usefulness level not withstanding. At the point where you can even make use of Blue Potions as opposed to Green Potions, you can access Chateau Romani. And like you say, there are plenty of rupees. Even before the Ikana Castle entrance.

what happens if you finish a temple but go back in time? do you lose all the progress?

You pretty much lose all progress, HOWEVER, you will still have the dungeon item, so getting through will be somewhat easier. However, it is worth mentioning though that when you complete a dungeon, the Majora panel at the beginning of the temple will serve as an automatic warp point to the boss. So unless you forgot to get all the stray fairies in a temple, or if you are doing a sidequest I'll show off later, you really have no reason to go through the entire temple again.

I think you're pronouncing "Deku" right, based on my understanding of Japanese pronounciation. "Day-koo" would suggest it's spelled "Deiku".

Also, I think the witches' names would be pronounced "Koh-meh" and "Koh-tah-keh".

People still annoy me these days with Zelda pronunciations as well. I get comments all the time about how to pronounce names like "Kokiri" and "Mido" and "Saria". It's irritating because they act like they just KNOW it's pronounced this way when they don't. These are fictional names.

Slimkirby, you should probably have mentioned that finding the mushrooms actually unlocks the blue potion . Sure, there are plenty of rupees in this game, but they are no use if you cannot buy the potion in the first place. Maybe you thought that you could always buy the blue potion?

Blue Potion has useability issues anyway. If you even have enough hearts to be able to use it in a scenario where Green Potion would be enough, you have access to Chateau Romani AND plenty of rupees. I got all the way to the final boss in my 6 Day Run and you actually see me buy Chateau Romani, not Blue Potion at all.

That really seems to be true, because there are several indications to it. It is somewhat implied that the source of your Deku Mask is the sad tree, and thus you would look very similar to the Butler's son as a Deku.
