Writing a fugue is a difficult work. You will need a lot of conterpoint in composing a fugue. Like no parallel 8th, 5th. Avoid intervals like 2th, 7th.... like damildlyshreddah said, you need a subject, then play the subect in other key.

1. The orchestra states the subject (in the tonic)

2. Yngwie then plays the counter-theme rather than the subject (!); the orchestra restates the subject once more still in the tonic (no modulation to the dominant nor tonal answer on the fifth... but my ears might be off)

3. Then the orchestra plays the counter-theme (finally) and Malmsteen plays the theme (still in the tonic).
