  • Wild and wandering memories there.......

I recognised many faces from Glasgow in the mid-1980's, including myself!!

  • Bloody hell, just saw myself dancing, AWKWARD!

  • song 1 is "satellite" by the sex pistols.

  • Just spotted 2 ex-colleagues from my days at FLIP (when it was a great shop on Queen St) - fabulous footage!!

  • As soon as I found out about it (not until 1986, alas), I attended every 'happening'.

  • Song 2 is "Can't Ignore the Train" by 10,000 Maniacs

  • Wish I'd been there - born (very slightly) too late

  • Song 3 is Let's Submerge by X-Ray Spex

  • My word, the hair! Can someone ID songs #2 and #3 please, as I must find them immediately.

  • That is original footage of an Indie Disco, and what they were like. Awesome filming of a subculture.

  • The club was Daddy Warbucks, 42 West George St. The building is long gone, replaced by Waxy O'Conners and a hotel.

  • this must be the best vid of dancin of tale endish of punk ...what a video..really f'n brilliant & captures the feeling of the times...filmed in Glasgow, splash one club. fun to see people we know, especially Derek, John Martin (Joogs), Bobby Gillespie before he was famous in Primal Scream & more lovely stylish faces with great taste in music

  • i noticed bobby gillespie and the guitarist from the pastels

  • what club was it held in?

  • Classic footage, does anyone know which bands were playing that night, I'm in there (Jim Barr - light blue jacket, jumping around like an eejit to the Pistols, 3mins 20secs) along with my brother Paul and the rest of the Greenock crowd that used to make it along on a regular basis (Colin Grainger, Chris and Theresa Davidson). Happy times indeed, spotted a very young Bobby Gilespie and Douglas Stewart in there too.

  • yup im there with a lovely woollen knit from Paddy's Market on .............

  • @hifisean I remember that top, why can i remember that but not much from last week?

  • @hifisean You must have a few bits of footage hanging around Sean, no?

  • @petrocks

no the only footage was made by Jim Lambie if I recall

  • @hifisean I mentioned somewhere else but I think he filmed Sonic Youth when they played.
