this must be the best vid of dancin of tale endish of punk ...what a video..really f'n brilliant & captures the feeling of the times...filmed in Glasgow, splash one club. fun to see people we know, especially Derek, John Martin (Joogs), Bobby Gillespie before he was famous in Primal Scream & more lovely stylish faces with great taste in music
Classic footage, does anyone know which bands were playing that night, I'm in there (Jim Barr - light blue jacket, jumping around like an eejit to the Pistols, 3mins 20secs) along with my brother Paul and the rest of the Greenock crowd that used to make it along on a regular basis (Colin Grainger, Chris and Theresa Davidson). Happy times indeed, spotted a very young Bobby Gilespie and Douglas Stewart in there too.
Wild and wandering memories there.......
I recognised many faces from Glasgow in the mid-1980's, including myself!!

As soon as I found out about it (not until 1986, alas), I attended every 'happening'.

That is original footage of an Indie Disco, and what they were like. Awesome filming of a subculture.

The club was Daddy Warbucks, 42 West George St. The building is long gone, replaced by Waxy O'Conners and a hotel.
