So that's what a music lesson is like between an extraordinary student and an extraordinary teacher. Well above my level. Thanks for sharing this. It's brilliant.
Afraid not, but there can't be many cello concerti by JC Bach that have survived (and make sure that's JC, not CPE, JS, JE etc.!) so it might not be too hard to find
It is the so called 'Johann Christian Bach' Cello Concerto. It is a fake written by musician Henri Casadesus who passed it off as a work by JC Bach. Even though this is not a real 18th century work, it is still lovely music and a very nice and playable concerto!
@danielemanuelb Surely, this is not fake written - it was only arranged as a duet from a concerto by the musician in order for a fabulous piece of music to be played by only two people.
For a concerto, it is not that easy - you are interpreting the piece to suite intermediate standards.
Alot of music books of which I have come across have concertos arranged specifically with an accompaniment along with the lead instrument.
Alexander is wonderfull, at such a young age he has an understanding of music most at his age lack of. He will certaintly go far and the French School is just great to develop these talents, the school offers a lot of analysis when it gets to the art of interpreting. Ophelie Gaillard is a tremendous violoncellist!!!!!!!
great

guitarguy961 2 years ago
It's actually the second movement of the cello concerto that they played in the beginning; what was played first was the finale.

Il est vraiment très doué pour son âge. Ca m'intéressait vraiment quel âge il a, et depuis quand il joue cet instrument.

It's great to see how she teaches music. It really gives us some insight into her musical philosophy.
