Can tinpo(I know tinpo means penis this is just for educational purpose) be use to express cool. I saw it in a ustream channel; that person was trying to teach us Japanese. I think the person was just messing around,
No, we never use it in that way. The guy was most likely messing around. I don't like teaching these kind of words to people, but the proper way of writing/pronouncing it is with a ch-, no starting with a t-.
Can I learn with your mom too? Just kidding lol Thanks bro! By the way, if you wanna say that guy is cool, like let's say a really awesome actor, without saying that he's banging hot, I heard that you can't just say かっこいい as it would be a bit awkward, what would be the correct word then?
why is he acting like a wigger?
btw, MABUI is a word nobody uses besides a ghetto 60 year old freak

色っぽい is a good substitute for mabui since its dated lol, but not really appropriate I don't think.
ltlocus 2 years ago
I used mabui on someone and they weren't familiar with the word. Why? They were japanese too...

Don't use "まぶい".... That's not cool. No Japanese use the word because it's not cool at all!

Is it like "groovy"? A bit old fashioned but fun if a gaijin says it?
Gimmeaflakeman 2 years ago
Yeah, it's a bit old fashioned. The word is used in 70s or 80s... But yeah, maybe funny at first if a gaijin says it ;)
oishiicatwings 2 years ago
Ya I just googled it and realized it's starting to get out of date. I think it left contemporary vocab in the 90's.

Then what word should we use? :o)
